Thank you! I have lots of thoughts about the character and how Dilandau got the shaft, narratively speaking. I know it's a gd 90's anime and I don't expect them to handle everything with ~nuance~, but they really dropped the ball on what could have been great character development: both in terms of gender (in what they've made out to be a very binary society) and how Celena deals with identity in the aftermath. Instead, Dilandau goes from having major agency in the narrative to ... a minor feature in Allen's resolution.

And don't get me started on how Allen and Celena just get to uh, pick up where they left off? After a decade? And Allen gets to "take responsibility" for everything Dilandau did? And there's no sign Celena gets to grieve the people who were arguably a bigger part of their life than Allen was? I could go on.

Sorry, I basically used this as an excuse to get up on my soap box for a sec. But I'm super glad there are still people out there who appreciate a niche interpretation of vintage content.
