adhd things
-plugging in headphones and opening spotify to play some music but a text comes through while it’s loading so you answer it and next thing you know you’ve been sitting in silence for an hour
-reading a book and realizing you have no idea what happened for the last chapter and a half so you try to reread it but you end up focusing so much on focusing that you still have no idea what’s going on
-spending 3+ hours researching adhd and other possible mental health issues when you should be sleeping or studying
-“my friend will be here in 10 min, that’s enough to clean and…” and then they’re suddenly at your door
-little to no actual conception of time passage
-starting projects with the full intention of completion until you reach the boring part
-pacing when you’re anxious, nervous, excited, bored, sad, happy, etc.

Does anyone else with ADHD have to vocalize their thoughts in order to keep them from slipping out of your reach? I feel ridiculous for doing this but especially when I’m inspired or especially distracted speaking my train of thought out loud helps me stay on track and make sense of the swirling typhoon of ideas in my brain.

adhd culture is plugging in your headphones ready to bOp and then two hours later realising you haven’t actually pressed play

that adhd feel when
you want to watch something and you can't decide whether to:
rewatch something you previously hyperfixated on that you know will give you that seratonin boost
watch something new and risk a new hyperfixation and possibly more of a seratonin boost
finish watching something you've already started but have yet to finish because the hyperfixation slowly faded
get caught up on series you've fallen behind on because you forgot about them

Does anyone else do that thing while reading where your eyes are like 3 lines ahead of where your brain is?
