you have a secret interest or a personality trait that others wouldn't like about you. you may have shown it off once, but it was received badly, and now like hell you're gonna be vulnerable like that again. you dream of the day where someone you like will act this way too and you can finally release this lock in your chest, although that's extremely unlikely. you feel disconnected from others' reality of yourself. it's very uncomfortable.

"Sooooo, I kind of adopted a puppy." Whimsically a tune so playful like the teasings of an older sibling coo from its mighty vantablack maw as it circles around Atom. Powerful pawed feet press against the cold rooftop surface while a clawed finger wags itself in mid-air.

"In fact, it's closer than you think, and his name starts with an A!"

This pup he was referring to was indeed the android himself, but the Dark Beast couldn't help but toy with Atom.

Something about this creature set him off.

Atom's gaze followed it as it circled. Turning only his head, his brow furrowed, his thoughts racing.

What was this thing? And what did it want with him?

. . . Perhaps it would suit him better to simply ask.

"Who. . . are you? How do you know my name?"

"Aw, Come on, Hunter, there's nothing wrong with being short!" said Atom, the 4'5" boy robot.
