About Aeon:

Aeon has been a project ive been working on for a while now. It takes place in a wild and unknowable world overseen by manifold deities and spirits, the world is filled with just as much whimsy as horror and despair. The land of Aeon is untamable and expansive, there are vast rainforests with trees that pierce the clouds and swamps as deep as an ocean, roiling deserts so hot they create huge fields of glass, and abyssal oceans filled with krakens, sea dragons, and sentient deific storms. Magic in Aeon is dangerous and wild, it molds the world like a like rain erodes rock. It has dangerous consequences but can yield cataclysmic power, as it draws from the roiling torrent of life that exists underneath all existence: The Undertow. Aeon is inhabited by numerous sapient peoples, from a variety of primordial insectoid Elves, daemonic beastial Tieflings, and various "species" of Humans, to the amphibian Etchermen who live in Aeon's expansive greatswamps and carve cities into the roots of monolithic trees, and their distant cousins the isolationist and uncanny Ueri, mountain cave-dwelling expert craftsman who create cloaks and suit out of animal hide in order to impersonate and appeal to humans.

Aeon is heavily inspired by many different kinds of media. From video games like: the elder scrolls, soulsborne and elden ring, fear and hunger, the legend of zelda, and vermis (kinda a video game i guess), ttrpgs like: mörk borg, ICON rpg, pathfinder, old school dnd, and wildsea, movies like: the dark crystal, pan's labyrinth, excalibur (1981), princess mononoke, and howl's moving castle, and fellow worldbuilding projects like: krazyk's therenor, skyhornet's merrymog, ahmonza gwynn's boom and warhunt, and monlenz's rust and trenches.

When you signed on to fight orcs but your DM puts his Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robot on the table (Clyde Caldwell cover for D&D Companion level module CM4: Earthshaker! by David "Zeb" Cook, TSR, 1985)

Earthshaker stands 1280 feet tall, which the text points out is taller than the Empire State Building's roof or the Eiffel Tower, and would be 17' 6" if scaled to match a 25mm miniature. Most of the adventure takes place inside Earthshaker, in spaces divided into many levels, where a clan of gnomes lives to maintain its workings.
