since you mentioned having a companion and close friends can be good for stuff, maybe you should run your options by a friend before your team? might bring up options you didnt think of, and might be a good place to bounce ideas off of
As much as I love my friend, any advice xe would give will be based entirely on what would make Lusamine (our president) the most mad - rather than what is actually the best decision. He's not the most reliable source of advice at times, but talking to them would be a good idea to maybe quell my anxiety about my own decision. I'll see how it works out.

I took these results as a sign to trust my own initiative for once. I will be informing my colleagues about Chimera - but only if I can assure first that I will be able to keep him in my care. Wish me luck.
I found Chimera. I haven't informed any of my coworkers yet. I however am not sure if I really should. See Chimera is a very friendly and sociable Null, which makes him a great companion! But not so great as a Beast Killer.
That and the process of studying him to find out how to replicate this success is invasive to say the least. I know we need more Type: Nulls, we originally abandoned the project due to the instability of these artificial lives and the loss of all out surviving Nulls. But now that we have access to one we can reignite the project.
Do we even need Beast Killers though? We've been having moderate success with catching UBs without them, and while it would certainly make our lives easier is it worth the pain we'd be putting the Chimera and potential future Type: Nulls?
I'm not sure if I should bring Chimera forwards or just keep him secret. What do you guys think?

Hey! Welcome to Galar, my friend! I hope you don’t mind, but I sent a bit of a welcome gift to where you’re currently staying!! I’m sure you’ll get a bit of a kick out of it! It might even help if you’re feeling a bit homesick!
Pardon my language, but where the fuck did you get a Beast Ball? This is highly regulated and private Aether technology!!

Oh dear, it seems it's not just my companion with some negative things to say. I completely understand, I'm all for the goals of Aether but our president is... well she sure is an individual. Quite the character.
I do hope someday things become a bit more organized and you all can more efficiently focus on your goal, you seem like a lovely group despite everything! I suppose us lower ranking team members have to support each other regardless of team huh?
(@totallyaplasmagrunt) aether foundation? i Haven't Heard of that organization before. where are you located?
Good evening! The Aether Foundation is an organization based in Alola, we have multiple goals and departments from Pokémon rehabilitation to extraterrestrial and interdimensional studies. I myself am assistant branch chief of the xenobiology department.
Now you may be asking which island of Alola we're based on. The answer would surprisingly be none of them! Aether Paradise is a manmade floating island between Poni and Akala and beneath Melemele geographically. There's some rumors that Aether Paradise is built atop a small privately owned island, though I'm not actually sure if this is true.
I hope to do business with you in the future, and I hope this was at all helpful.
#pokemon#pokeblogging#aether foundation#team plasma#i know ive mentioned being an assistant branch chief and that may clash with saying im a lower member#what that really means though is im the actual branch chiefs permanent intern on top of my base responsibilities#i dont actually have any power here at aether :/

It is in fact a good summary! Reminds me of the type of work we do at our Pokémon rehabilitation sect. I wish you all good luck on your pokémon protection endeavors.
Though I can't help but be a bit curious about your founder. My companion has a lot of negative things to say about him, so I'm curious as to what he's like from a purely business standpoint.

Of course! Now out of curiosity do you mind if I return the question? A friend of mine previously worked for Team Plasma but I'm actually not all too familiar with your organization. I assume it is just as reputable as Aether?

So myself and a few other workers have arrived in Wyndon. This is the first time in about a year I've left the Paradise so I'm admittedly a little excited! However I will be focusing on the fact this is a purely business trip (though I might see if I can't swing by Spikemunth to catch a concert).
I'll keep the details of where exactly we are searching vague to ensure the safety of myself and my coworkers, however I will say if we in fact find the Type: Null! Though our purposes for finding it make me a little uncomfortable. I'll be the first to admit that the process of making more Null's will not be the most... ethical for Chimera. Perhaps I can do something about that.
So we only ever made three Type: Nulls, one was rehomed by the President's eldest (Nicknamed Slash), one found it's way into the arms of our region's league champion (Nicknamed Arceus 2 EB (EB standing for "Electric Boogaloo", why???)), and we have no idea what happened to our third (Nicknamed Chimera). Does anyone have any ideas where our third Beast Killer went? That lil guy would be GREATLY beneficial to our UB removal efforts, and maybe to make more. I don't agree with making more, but I suppose there's necessary evils everywhere
#pokémon#pokeblogging#aether foundation#type: null#i do want to find chimera! like i said i miss the lil guy#hes a good lil guy. the most friendly of the type: nulls in fact

three seems like an oddly specific number for crimes against god. simultaneously to few and to many of them
Well you see we had plans to make more. The process of making Beast Killers is a highly intensive and difficult process, in total we probably made around 10 times that amount. Unfortunately though most Type: Nulls only survived a week tops, if they survived the creation process at all.
The three remaining Type: Nulls are incredibly important because of this fact, we need to know what went right within their biology so we know how to replicate it in the creation of more Beast Killers. They're incredibly hardy and resilient, and also far more powerful than we initially anticipated.
This is exactly why we need to find Chimera. We need to be able to study it to find out where we went right, but more importantly we need to be sure such a powerful life form does not end up in the wrong hands.
TLDR: The odd amount of Type: Null's is due to our previous failed efforts to create and maintain these lives. We did not intend to create only 3.

I regret attending a meeting with my branch chief on Luvday.
Oh? Is it Luvday? Well I hope you all have a good one! I personally have no plans outside of research and my duties at the foundation, meeting with my branch chief etc.
I hope anyone reading this has a good Luvday though! Good luck on any dates, try not to get whiscashed.

Update! I have found a lead to Chimera! I'll be posting updates on this thread as things go along. We've received enough sightings in the Galar region for me to be confident (mostly, anxiety disorder and all that) for me to attempt to lead a search team. Either way this should be a good start to recovering the Beast Killer project.
Missed that little guy.

PSA: WHAT TO DO IF FACE TO FACE WITH A UB-08 BURST
Also known as Blacephalon, UB-08 has been identified as a Fire-Ghost type Pokémon. UB-08 may seem friendly, but do not let this fool you. UB-08′s hunting strategy seems to be leading an organism into a false sense of security before removing the ball that one may assume to be its head, and throwing it at its target and revealing the object to be an explosive. UB-08 can quickly regenerate the “head” for quick succession deployment.
The explosive of UB-08 has roughly the power of a charged up Electrode, meaning no human should wish to be caught in the blast. If you encounter UB-08 find something to hide under to protect yourself from the blast, and make an emergency report to the foundation or the international police. Protect your head, as any flying debris from the explosion would be detrimental to your health.
If you are forced to engage in battle with UB-08 please prioritize the use of highly defensive Pokémon to withstand the blast. We have classified the explosion as a Fire type attack, so keep this in mind when attempting to protect yourself.

PSA: WHAT TO DO IF FACE TO FACE WITH A UB-07 ASSEMBLY
Also known as Stakataka, UB-07 has been identified as a Rock-Steel type Pokémon. UB-07 is peculiar as it is actually comprised of multiple individuals creating a single, individual hive-mind organism, much like a type of siphonophore. Due to the nature of actually being multiple smaller organisms, UB-07 varies wildly in size, though most of the time they will be the size of a small structure. Oddly enough most of the eyes of the organism face the inside of structure. We do not yet understand why it does this, though it’s theorized that this is to protect the sensitive ocular organs.
UB-07 has been documented to become incredibly hostile when anything is placed on top of the structure, though if an individual maintains their position for a large period of time it seems to return to being docile. I cannot recommend attempting this as the risks outweigh the benefits, but if you find yourself on top of UB-07 it may mean the difference between life or death. Find a way to safely secure yourself to the structure, mountaineering equipment would be the most beneficial.
If you attempt to engage in battle with UB-07 it will likely retreat the individuals acting as legs into the inside of the structure and enter an immobile defensive state. This is the optimal time to retreat and report your encounter. If it continues to be hostile however keep its typing and incredible defensive capabilities in mind, and if you have a strong team you should survive the encounter.
