He’d come over to meet Trixie and the little girl had just about asked him non-stop questions until it was her bedtime.  Answering all of them patiently, he let chloe put her to bed and then just chuckled with a smile at the woman as she came back in the room.  “She’s adorable.  You’ve got a good kid there, Chloe.”

“Honestly I don’t think she wants to let you leave.”  Trixie being happy,  being confident enough to ask questions...it was important to Chloe that her daughter would be whatever she wanted to be.  “And thank you,  I know,  she’s...she makes me feel like me and Dan have done something right.”

“He more or less raised me, if I’m being honest.”  Gabriel chuckled with a warm smile, shaking her hand firmly.  As she spoke, he came to the conclusion that she might have been told everything - and just quirked a brow.  “Oh, did he tell you everything?  Like - everything, everything?”

“You’re lucky,  I know he’s good deep down.”  There was no doubt in her mind that Lucifer was worth taking a chance on,  of course she hadn’t always known that or believed it,  but she knew it now.  “Yes...though to be fair,  he’s been honest from the beginning,  but I didn’t know that until recently.”

      it’s hardly any surprise, if she thinks about it; there have been so many STRANGE things going on, she hasn’t had a chance to really stop & fully process what the fall out from those things might be. of course he’d be having a hard time, she chides herself none too gently - he has so much he has to CATCH UP on after being – after being dead for so long. she exhales tiredly, setting the paper she’d been reading aside for the time being. official Clave business can wait a touch longer - he’s family. ‘ what specifically is troubling you? ’ she asks, getting up & pouring two glasses of water. ‘ let’s go for a walk. you can tell me all about it. ’

              stephen is grateful when he hears those words,  though in the past he might have tried to keep these thoughts to himself,  death had taught him that perhaps he should  APPRECIATE  the family he had left.  she was his mother,  he was never turning his back on her again.  he smiled softly before he answered.  “ it’s a few things...maybe more than a few. ”  he admitted quietly.

            “ thanks... ”  stephen thought briefly about  NOT  telling her everything,  but if he wasn’t going to get anywhere,  he couldn’t be the same man as before.  “ we might need to ask a warlock about something to help me sleep without dreams for a while...i remember a lot of what happened while i was down there...and before. ”  he remembered  some  of his death.
