“You might possibly be the loudest human that I have  ever  met.”  And yet there was no malice to his tone,  Chuck wasn’t annoyed,  more amused that anything else. Though he was fairly sure he would be yelled at again.  Then again,  he had been wrong  many  times.

“I have to admit that I’m a little baffled that you asked for me.”  Clark knew that he was a good reporter,  but sometimes he underestimated himself,  even with everything that he had done as Superman.

Stretching a hand out to shake the other’s,  Clark quickly smiles. “I’m Clark.”

“I was told I would find you here.”  There was a wide smile on Neal’s face as he stopped to look at Nibs,  giving him a wide smile.  He felt as though it had been years ( and maybe it had ),  but he gods he was glad that he was finally here.

“I’m not sure I need to tell you this, but you have terrible taste in people.”  Of course what he had meant to was thank you, but he couldn’t remember the last time that those words left his mouth.

“I guess I call you grandma,  huh?”  Gaining his memories back had given him a lot more than he thought he would get,  including the woman in front of him,  he only has to think about it for a moment before he steps forward and hugs her.

“I know, I look quite handsome in hell’s morning light.”  Lucifer was quite good at using humor to suppress or hide everything else that he was feeling.  But after many life times in this cage, it might have been that he had almost lost his mind.

“Personally I think we went far too easy on him.”  Peggy had gotten in one good punch before another of her colleagues had pulled her back.  She was glad that it was just herself and Shane now.

“I love it when I get to surprise them though.”  She smirked.

“I thought people in the twenty first century would have grown out of that.”  She tried not to laugh over the fact, whatever strange goings on there were, it was still better than home.

“I could have taken him.”  Whether she could or she couldn’t,  Chloe would have tried,  though internally she was grateful for the company.  Meeting more of Lucifer’s family had given her some peace of mind.

“You might as well be an angel compared to the things...I’ve seen and done.”  He pointed out.  Of course he still saw her as a good person.  “Can I stay for a little while?”  The words were before he could stop them.

“We’re getting you out of here.”  Rey had heard that voice and hadn’t been able to walk away,  mission be damned,  she knew him.   Maybe it had been a long time and perhaps she had shut a lot of that day out.  But she would know her father anywhere.

“Don’t take this the wrong way but -- I think we should ban you from wearing shirts.”  Jamie stopped in the door way and stared before he could stop himself,  this was just unfair.

“I’ve heard a lot about you,”  He stops in his tracks and turns around to smile at the other.  He’d been doing a lot better but Chuck still hadn’t expected to be let back into anyone’s lives...not deep down.  He pushes that thought away before he speaks up again.

“I’m Chuck.”
