Also, since this is Tumblr, I’d like to take a chance to say that though this is very bad on the level of global politics, you are not in direct danger right now. This is not the end of the world, this is not the collapse of society, and this is not the start of WWI. This is a seriously worrisome development, but panic is both unjustified and unhelpful, especially since this is going to affect the people of Iraq far, far, far more than it will affect you. Take a breath. Calm yourself. And then get mad at the people in Washington trying to lead us into an unneccesary war. And then get organized.
