bad study/school habits to drop
like seriously, drop them now. 
they’re toxic and prevent you from being productive and doing your best.
comparing yourself to others. in anything, we tend to compare ourselves to others even though we know how unhealthy it is. stop comparing yourself to your friends and classmates because everyone works in different ways at different paces.
complaining. i get it. nobody wants to write multiple essays or do fifty math problems. it’s either you do it or you don’t. if you don’t do it, there’s nothing to complain about. if you do the assignment, why complain if you know you’ll finish it anyway ? complaining is counterproductive and honestly quite annoying.
being negative. “i’m gonna fail this test.” “i can’t do it.” everyone says these things to themselves, including me. sometimes i’ll say “i don’t understand anything” even though i’ve barely tried. have a positive attitude and try to believe in yourself. i think, therefore i am. speak your success into existence and put in the work.
cramming. if you know you have a test on friday, start studying a few days before. rather than spending a whole 3 hours studying the night before, start studying for 30 minutes on monday. take your time to understand the concepts. cramming stresses the body by trying to force memorization which usually doesn’t end up well.
going out when you have homework. i get it. you want to hang out with your friends, but you really should get your work done. make an effort to finish most/all of your work before you go out. personally, the fact that i have work to do lingers in the back of my mind which lowkey stresses me when i’m trying to have fun. who wants that ?
procrastinating. you all know why you shouldn’t do it so there’s really nothing to say. it’s one of the worst habits to have, and i hope all of you can work towards getting rid of it.

I’ve pulled three almost-all-nighters in this past week and I am living my best life
I’ve been so busy with working (I picked up my paycheck today and omg ok all-nighters were worth) and studying for midterms and writing a bunch of apps
Also I had a fantastic hospital shift today and it’s becoming very bittersweet because I will be saying goodbye to the Geriatrics clinic and my volunteer bud very soon :(

once you stop fantasizing about that ideal version of yourself and start working towards becoming that person by setting your alarm clock earlier and actually going to the gym and actually volunteering at places and actually eating healthier and not procrastinating and working just a little bit harder you’ll realize that it was so easy all along. becoming your ideal self will only ever exist in your mind until you make the decision to work towards becoming that person. get up!! get going!! it’s now or never!! there is no light at the end of the tunnel!! get that flashlight and pave your own path bitch bc no one else is going to do it for u!!

F R I D A Y // continuing with some biochem revision - I find kinetics hard to get my head around… as soon as I think I have my head round it it disappears again so I made up an analogy to help me remember- it had my boyfriend laughing at me!! Yesterday was nice and chill, done revision at bfs house so had space and a table. Now for a nice wee night away just the two of us 😊💗 ALSO THANK YOU FOR 50 FOLLOWERS!! doesn’t seem a lot but for me it’s a big deal! Love u all lots 💗

10 Things I Tell Myself When I Don’t Want To Study
1. You are very lucky and privileged to have access to almost unlimited knowledge and you should appreciate that.
2. Be one of those rare people who step over their insecurities and succeed.
3. You will know what to do as soon as you start. Ideas never appear from inactivity.
4. Make yourself proud.
5. It’s not supposed to be easy. Nothing good ever is.
6. One hour every day doesn’t feel much but its 365 hours a year. You can’t not succeed after so much work.
7. If you give up now, you’ll have to return to this later anyway but from the very beginning.
8. Maybe you think you can never find something to use your skills and mindset for. But if you continue investing in what matters to you, it will find its way out there.
9. Every moment you thought your fears would suppress you has become the time you made it. 
10. Make yourself proud.
