“Oh. I’m not actually working today, sorry.” Amy explained to someone as they recognised her standing to the side of the counter and assumed she was working at The Grind that day.

Leigh was sitting at the reception desk in the museum staring off into space, not even aware that she had zoned out or that anybody was even around. It had been such a quiet day and her mind had once again dragged her back to thoughts of Shelley Lee so she was only semi aware.

“Is there something you actually want or are you just hovering like a bad smell to piss me off?”

She nodded, “ I do appreciate it, you know. Not many people would stop and help.”
“Well, I like to treat people how I’d like to be treated.”

Crystal chuckled a bit, “ That honestly sounds like heaven. And I couldn’t agree with you more on it. I will probably just do that whenever I have a day off.”
“It’s such a nice feeling.”

Her sister was right, Crystal did know her well enough. She nodded her head, “Yeah I get it. I sometimes forget what month we’re in.” She chuckled. “ Just working, and doing house chores when I can get them done.”
Selena chuckled. “Yeah? Eh, don’t worry. It’ll change before you know it anyway.” She said, obviously not knowing how ironic her words were. “Not too bad then.”

She nodded, “ Of course. Anything else or just the flat?” Sara asked as she started on the drink.
“Just that, thanks.” Sylvia said but then she shook her head. “No, sorry, can I add on one of those pretzels as well, please.” She pointed out the ones.

Letting out a sigh of relief that she didn’t know she was holding, Krista looked over at him and gave him a grateful smile. “ Thank you so much. I tried getting a worker to help, but it was probably going to take awhile.” She chuckled. “ I truly hate being short sometimes.”
Nathan smiled at her. “Oh, it’s fine. Don’t mention it. I’m glad I could help you out.” He said with a chuckle. “Ah, you know what they say. Good things come in small packages.” He joked.

“Thank you so much. I truly appreciate. I swear, sometimes being short isn’t always so great.” Krista chuckled before putting the item in her basket.
She chuckled. “Seriously, no worries! I’m glad I could help.”

Crystal nodded her head and looked at her, “ I couldn’t agree with you more. I love being able to bundle up more, and of course putting the fireplace on and all. But yeah, I think you’re right, at least there’s something good out of it.”
Claire smiled, nodding. “Oh, sitting by the fireplace - with a big mug of hot chocolate and marshmallows of course. One of the best things about winter for sure.”
