Dearest anon, I barely have time to draw my own ships.

That being said, I did end up drawing Rickyl today, and upsettingly (to me) it came out even better-looking than the sketches of my own ships I was doing before that.

I've always wanted to try out this Green Arrow Chili Recipe, and I finally did so last Sunday.

For any of the ingredients I didn't have, I mostly bought them at Stater Bros., including all of the chili powders. Cooked in a crock pot on Low for almost 8 hours, dropped the beans and brown sugar in the pot about 6 hours in... and I don’t have Tabasco nor did I want to buy any; but I do have Tapatio (and also Sriracha) on hand along with chips (instead of Saltines). Added onion on top in the end.

... And it’s not as hot as this picture would like me to believe. Actually, it was pretty mild without the hot sauce. I mean unless the “Tabasco to taste�� was Ollie dropping the whole bottle in, I can’t imagine this kind of reaction lol. Still, p good.

I bought a new desktop computer~ ｡:゜★｡ヽ(°◇° )ノ

It’s arriving either at the end of this week, or the beginning of next week; and really, it’s about time. My current one is like a decade plus old, and it still works (laggingly); but I’d really like to hook up dual monitors, as well as stream video while drawing, thx. Or even just run PS and Sai while browsing Tumblr. Really though, I decided to buy one cuz I’m going to start taking classes r/t my occupation for a year or so online, while on the side taking some of the college’s illustration classes for fun. So I look forward to that. (´･ω･｀)

I have a couple Asks from the past week I need to answer to. Under the Read More.

So, during the week I’m pretty drained. I have an issue where the longest I sleep continuously is 4 hours M-F, and then sleeping an hour before work and an hour after. So I’m sorry If I don’t really… respond during the week. Busy. Tired. I generally scroll tumblr in the evening, and sometimes not on Flash/Arrow days. And this is in addition to msgbox/e-mail anxiety, so… yeah.

I did mention I haven’t watched TWD since season 3…? ;;;;; I’m also pretty neutral to the ship… But I’ll keep it in mind, since the original request was anon too. I just feel like I should be continuing watching TWD though…

Naw, I prefer them switching. I think I have some nsfw drawing of Kon bottoming actually… it’s around.

I know I haven’t drawn them in a long while, but I have been trying to get back into drawing Slade at least during the past week… Manu’s nose and brow are pretty defined that I’m trying to figure out I’d draw him. Here’s some pen sketches from last week while I was bored at work.

… Well, it’s practice, ok…

Their chemistry is probably because Manu Bennett was one of the better actors on the show. And probs the writing back then, I suppose. But when he first appeared in the second half of S1, I think the show really became less something I was just bearing with, and more enjoyable instead. And I really liked Ollie and Slade going from hostile strangers, to mentor/student, to brothers relationship. ;o; It was much more organic than some of the other established (and supposed) relationships on the show.

So I do agree with what you’re saying about some of the character interactions. I think besides Slade, Ollie’s relationship with modern day Sara showed some promise… But her being with Nyssa instead is more than fine with me. Also, “forced or awkward” describes so many scenes on the show to me rn and that’s not a good thing.

What sucks is that Manu is aware of the poor decisions that were done with his character, such as Shado being the main motivation for Slade’s revenge (and not the Mirakuru warping his mind, which he insisted before), as well as his recent opinion on his character’s treatment in S3. I agree with him on both. Plus with all the speculation that he won’t/can’t return to the show, I’m kinda bummed…

Dude tho, Quilson… I really wish that ship caught on. But it’s really hard to move past the writers having Slade kill off Moira. You can’t just kill someone’s mother and then expect them to have any respect for each other, or be Mercenary/Vigilante bros. ;~; I can complain SO MUCH about how the writing has been… 

But jsyk tho I’ve been reminiscing about ALL my ships lately (which isn’t a lot tbh), so I have drawn Slade a couple of times in my sketchbook as well. And thinking of them having cold island nights…
