He wasn't expecting and introduction all of a sudden. That meant he had to do the same, for the purposes of not being rude, right? Well, that's what he knew so he would continue on with it. Though normally...he'd have someone else introduce him in his stead. That just made things easier on him.
Regardless, he was alone right now. So he swallowed and mustered up in a soft voice "I'm Serph, leader of Embryon."
He looked down afterwards. Like that means anything to someone in this world...

Serph found himself staring up at the building before him. It was definitely large and extravagant. Nothing like anything he'd known back in the Junkyard. It was probably bigger than the whole of Muladhara. Not getting lost would be a challenge. Especially when he had the curiosity of a cat when it came to people. Perhaps because he wanted to be like them, perhaps because they understood so much more than he did either way, he didn't think he was going to last very long without losing his way.
He turned back to his host. "I...can't guarantee I won't. I've never seen such a place." He was in awe. Causing him to say a little more than his usual.

"How does one obtain such a base?" He'd forgotten the less military name for a place of living but he assumed the man would understand. He mentally sighed at his lack of communication skills.
Serph still shook his head. Usually he wasn’t this rude when someone offered him something but he just had no other choice here. If someone found out how he usually took care of nourishment, he had the feeling they would not be as kind to him as this Sinbad man was being right now.

He forced a smile to try and make it seem like he wasn’t upset by the turn of events going on at the moment. “I appreciate the concern…but I’ll handle food on my own.”
He wanted to say more but he just couldn’t find the words to really explain what he meant without sounding odd. He sometimes still had the vocabulary of a child at times. He sighed internally at that thought.

Serph nodded. He agreed with her tenfold, though he wasn't really quite sure why he agreed with her. She sounded right though. It was only right to accept things about people, right? Some people were just the way they are.

"And...do you have anything people disagree with?" He was honestly curious if that was a common human feeling. It was certainly a rather awful feeling.
flakyserena:

“That’s okay~! I understand what you mean; lots of times, actions are stronger than words!” she smiled reassuringly at him. It wasn’t as though she’d never encountered a shy person before, so she took care not to scare him away. Though she highly doubted anything she could do would scare him. He seemed the strong, silent type to her more than the quiet, timid type.
He nodded in agreement. At least she understood. With how often people tried to talk him out of his methods of conversation he was sometimes unsure of his choice not to say much. It was nice not being nagged about it for once.

He smiled over at her. She was quite the interesting one to catch onto his habit so quickly. “Glad to see you agree…most people think it’s stupid.”

Upon hearing the suggestion Serph began to get a bit more serious. So fixing the generator was how they could fix this? That seemed almost too simple. There had to be something more to this. Then again, he wasn't usually one to argue with Gale's ideas. His tactician was correct on more occasions than he was. He sighed, not fully sure what to say next.

He settled on the neutral. "What do you suggest we do about it?" He only really asked because he always liked having a second opinion. There was a reason he had his star team, after all.
Serph then felt around for a wall to see if he could manage to find his way over to his comrade. Perhaps he was being too trusting that it was truly Gale, but somehow, Serph knew Gale well enough to be sure of him.
aiserph:
Serph put the gun back to his side and sighed in relief. It could have been something much worse. Unfortunately, he was unable to see his comrade. He also wondered where everyone else could be at a time like this. Actually…what exactly happened to the lights anyway?
It suddenly occured to Serph that he should probably respond. He was to into his habit of not speaking that he forgot Gale could not see him.

He cleared his throat and asked “Gale, do you know what happened to the lights?”
His voice was just about as soft as usual. He knew Gale would understand him without him having to really force more of his voice out.
steelcoffins:
There was a short period of silence. Although such thing was to be expected from someone like Serph, in this dark room, it was particularlly concerning. The probability of something ambushing them has elevated and an enemy may or may not have gotten ahold of the silver haired man. Unlikely, but plausible.
For all Gale knows, it could not be Serph at all. If there was such thing as a demon that could immitate the voice of another, they’d be in quite a troublesome situation. He was probably overthinking it; the hooded man hadn’t been attacked yet, so…
“Perhaps the generator has stopped working.”

Serph nodded. It was always a battleground here...as far as he could remember anyway. Well...he remembered a time when there was blue skies but he had no idea why that memory was in his mind.

"More so lately...ever since the atma." Serph gestured to the mark on his cheek. It was probably what put her at the most risk. The insatiable hunger of the people who lived here these days. All because of the atma. He cursed it in his mind which caused his face to scrunch up noticably.
As she sees him lower his weapon Parvati’s smile widened just a bit as her lotus flower loses the light glow it had. She didn’t need to prepare a spell if he was not going to attack anymore.

“Not safe? So I take it this world has also become another war ground? It seems most worlds I seem to visit are in some way or another.”

Serph sighed. That wasn't his intention at all. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the fact that at the time, Serph was completely out of control as well. Serph didn't want to be a mother, or a father for that matter. That only started because he was the only one who understood. Though, he supposed it was better he be in charge of the demi-fiend than Raidou or something.

Serph gave him a look as if to say "Did you think I wanted to be your mother?" They were both under the control of the moon...or sun. Or whatever it was that demons were affected by. Just the thought of that made him aprehensive.
Well this was certainly new. The demi-fiend being civil for once? It actually threw him off guard.

“I did…yes.” I don’t remember that. I suppose it just seemed rude to ruin someone else’s living space that isn’t involved in our little arguments.
“That still doesn’t mean I want to be your mother.” He figured adding that in would make sure his message did not get askewed. Honestly, mothers were women who brought children into the world…right? He recalled something of that sort.

“I never agreed to that…you just started using that when you came to speak with me that one time.
Then again, Serph couldn’t really call it speaking. It was more like grunts, hisses and other strange sounds, but nonetheless, Serph was the only one around at the time that could understand it. The mother thing made absolutely no sense, Serph really only went along with it to be able to humiliate the demi-fiend in mysterious ways.

Serph looked her over cautiously, but lowered his weapon regardless. He knew better than to trust everything a demon said but he was willing to give her a chance to explain. After all, he saw no reason to kill someone unless they showed that it was necessary. She caught his intrigue in not attacking him though.

"I see..." She didn't want to fight then? Maybe they shared some of the same morals here. Fighting only seemed to accomplish more pain and death. He felt the need to warn her. "You may not be safe in this world long..."
It was something he hated to admit, but the atma had made people far more dangerous lately.

Serph jumped back. Another demon around these parts. He really needed to be more careful when traversing, especially on his own. He stood there, caught by surprise and unable to really change to the form he should have been in by now.
It was so foolish of him not to prepare, but he moved that thought out of the way and raised his gun, waiting for the woman across from him to make her move.

“I don’t just go around eating innocent people. I don’t appreciate needless killing! You make it sound like I would eat because I can!” Serph actually had no idea where that anger actually came from but it just sort of appeared. He knew there was a reason he didn’t like this kid at all
Maybe I will eat you because of how you treat me…no….even so, I couldn’t…

Tae suddenly remembered someone else she once met long ago. “Can you talk?” She wanted to make sure this time. Was he another strange cannibal, like the one from long ago…?

Serph looked at her for a moment, debating whether or not he should really answer.
"Yes...I can talk," he eventually said. "Though I usually prefer not to."
It was just personal preference really. He was more of an action guy than a conversational guy.

Tae scratched the back of her head. She wasn’t entirely sure what to think of the man in front of her. His outfit was…really wild. Was he a street performer? It’d make sense, except there were no festivals or holidays being celebrated. Finally she let out a soft sigh. After the doppleganger incident, she thought she could stomach something paranormal without fainting. “Are you a shikigami? Or maybe a ghost?”

Serph looked over at the male before him. He was armed...but was he dangerous? Well, he usually prefered to trust someone until they were deemed untrustworthy. Still...he could smell blood on the other male. It was probably that that drew him neared to the other than he would have normally gone. When he was nearly right in front of him, he stopped and blinked, realizing what he was doing.

“I suppose that means I should go get a certain few friends of mine then?”
Serph was well aware of this demi-fiend boy’s fear of his comrades. It was honestly pathetic in it’s own but he could say his own irrational fear of the demi-fiend was just as ridiculous so he stated nothing of it. After all, Naoki was…a child, right? Or possibly not, but definitely close. It was silly to fear those however…he knew better than to underestimate the one before him. He’d need back up if something were to go wrong.

Serph sighed. He was really serious, huh?

"I'm afraid you'll have to explain more..." Serph really hated how his small amount of knowledge of this world showed so obviously sometimes. It was a total shame.

Serph’s odd sense of curiousity is what lead him here. But now he found himself face to face with another. The one before him also had a firearm but did not seem hostile…at least not yet. Perhaps it would be safe to introduce himself and show he had no reason to provoke the other.

“I’m Serph…can I ask what sort of establishment this is?” His lack of human knowledge unfortunately seemed to be putting him in very strange places as of late.

“Hm? Serph?” Naoto eyed the new silver-haired individual, already sensing the aura of a demon from him; an easy indication of a demon taking a human form. “Well to inform you, this is the small rural town of Inaba.” She told him calmly, but assertively. “But what business would you have to be in a place like this?”
He shrugged. He honestly had no idea what he was even doing here. This of course, was probably the worst explanation he could possibly come up with but he really had no excuses to make for this. Serph knew it was generally better to just say the truth in situations like this.

"I- I suppose I was just curious..."
