The Relationship Between Heart and EXO

💕❄️ Xiumin | Kim Minseok ❄️💕

Xiumin and Heart's relationship is the sibling relationship you dream of.

They are absolutely cute with each other. Xiumin is protective, gentle and always willing to indulge in her clownery while Heart is Xiumin's voice whenever he can't speak for himself out of respect or love for others.

She knows what bothers him and very subtly removes the trouble without ever bringing the attention on him.

She is his safe space whenever he's stuck socializing for the sake of it.

He's always telling 'Heart's the best,' whenever she's mentioned and really, being her protective brother whenever someone says anything against her.

They trigger the sweetness out of each other and are often found giggling or playing together while they are on stand-by or during promotions.

She cried the most when he enlisted and visited him whenever possible.

She sent him letters every week and expected him to write back to her.

She wrote and visited him so much that all his military comrades had become L-Hearts after knowing her.

She also performed at his military base for the first time because he said he missed watching her perform.

The only art piece he has in his house was a gift by her, which she had painted for him.

He had let her design his place and taught her self-defense moves when her sasaengs were getting a little out of hand.

He is always sticking close to her at airports and is always waiting to relieve her of any trouble she has.

Because they are the oldest and the youngest of the group, fans find their dynamic adorable.

💕🐰 Suho | Kim Junmyeon 🐰💕

While Suho is being strong for everyone and being everyone’s strength, Heart is his strength and rock in the group.

They were there for each other when no one was, since their trainee days. She has known him the longest in EXO. Suho practically raised her.

They wiped each other’s tears as they put on a strong front for the group and the world.

They have a parent-child dynamic though you’d wonder who the child is. One minute, it’s Suho nagging her, next moment it’s Heart mothering him for doing something stupid and lame.

She is his assigned photographer, and visits all his insta-worthy places with him whenever possible.

She designed the covers of his album, and helped him write the lyrics.

They watch each other’s performances and send coffee trucks to the sets.

They always check upon each other, making sure the other ate and slept fine.

Suho goes to her if he wants advice regarding something.

She cried when he enlisted too, but was much better handling it.

He half-joked that he was leaving Heart In-charge while he’s serving, and made her promise that she would try her best to keep the boys in one piece till he returns.

He used to help her study when she had busy schedules and visited her CSAT center to drop her, cheer her up and later, pick her up.

He’s always worrying about her because he knows she can hide her pain and trouble from them to make them happy.

He always calls her, ‘our daughter,’ or 'Sarangie’ and said when she gets married, he’s going to cry the most, probably more than her parents and more often than not, acts like he birthed her.

She is the first to try and stop him from embarrassing himself at Award Shows, but honestly no one can Suho when he’s set his mind on embarrassing everyone.

She tries once but if he doesn’t stop, she just moves away from him, to the back of the group, pretending to not know him. On very rare occasions, she jams to songs with him, trying to not look embarrassing as her leader.

💕🦄 Lay | Zhang Yixing 🦄💕

Lay is the member Heart knows will take her side no matter what.

If she ever wants to punch a person, she’d just tell Lay who will pummel down the person without any questions for her.

Lay might look like a chill dude but Heart knows he’s a fierce guy who wouldn’t mind hunting down people who hurt her or any of the members.

After all, he got expelled from SM for a bowl of rice, her bowl of rice actually.

She had to beg to SM but when that didn’t work she threatened SM to bring him back.

They are each other’s biggest fans and supporters.

You can make hours long compilations of Heart correcting people about Lay’s existence in the group and her talking about him and his achievements (bragging about his talents and achievements) in every show/awards/interviews/promotions they attend and that is not including all the time she’s promoted him on her social media, YouTube channel and all the times she’s played his music in her VLives.

She helped him name his pets.

She does all his dance challenges.

She is always cheering on him and calling him almost everyday to remind him to rest and eat well.

She’s always nagging him for his overfilled schedule and telling him to eat well and take care of himself.

Lay thinks it’s absolutely cute how she has gone from being babied by them to babying them to a certain extent.

She can sit with him explaining to him the smallest things in Chinese for hours with the calmest, engaging face and not get mad when he doesn’t get it.

She’s naturally next to him when he has to give speeches in Korean or during his appearances in Shows so he doesn’t get nervous or embarrassed.

She once told him to ‘Get a wife!' because he was too busy not taking care of himself. This became an inside joke that a lot of fans still keep saying that to him.

💕🐶 Baekhyun | Byun Baekhyun 🐶💕

Baekhyun and Heart are most like siblings.

They are constantly at each other’s throat and are always poking fun at each other.

It’s almost like they hate each other, but you can’t miss the affection they have for the other whenever the other is mentioned.

He always teases her about one thing or the other, it’s her height or her spendthrift ways.

Baekhyun gets teased back though, Heart might be a sweetheart, but all her sweetness turns to savagery whenever she’s mocking Baekhyun.

They like playing video games with each other, initially Heart was plain bad at it but she eventually got better just so she could beat Baekhyun and now, she can beat Baekhyun but no one else.

Baekhyun likes making her laugh because it’s cute and always finds reasons to cling to her.

She initially wasn’t close with Baekhyun because he’s just too much for her calm self, but now she says she finds it weird when he’s all calm and mature.

She says she prefers Mongryong over him and it’s absolutely funny how he gets really offended.

They fight and bicker over the littlest things but you can be sure they are the first to talk about each other’s achievement.

They also protect each other whenever they see some one putting a toe out of line and if you haven’t seen/heard them casually hold hour long concerts on Instagram with Heart strumming her guitar and BaekHyun slaying vocals, you missed out on seeing/hearing heaven.

Baekhyun absolutely adores Heart and even the mere mention of her name is enough to make him smile.

💕🎤 Chen | Kim Jongdae 🎤💕

Jongdae is Heart’s ultimate cheerleader.

He’s always busy babying her and cheering for her that many say it’s like she’s his daughter.

He even in passing told that he’d like to have a daughter like Heart, someone sweet, kind and pretty.

Chen always shares important developments in his life with her, like him falling in love, getting pregnant and them expecting children.

She is his children's godmother. She named her her god daughter, April. She visits her anytime she ahs freetime.

You can try to find a bigger Heartbeat than Chen and fail.

He has all her albums and was the one to originally give the idea of visiting her first fansign.

He let’s her call him ‘Chen-Chen’ and is always herding her to a safe spot in crowded stages and places.

He’s ever-so-ready to give her anything she asks for; blanket, water, jacket, heels, lipbalm, reassurance and all the love.

She’s nothing less too. She’s always hyping up his dance or high notes and always attends his shows and concerts and is practically his hypewoman.

She gave all her co-stars his albums when she was starring in a drama instead of hers and literally made the whole cast go crazy over him.

They are always found in waiting rooms singing while Heart plays the guitar.

Heart also designed his album covers and contributed to writing some.

She performed the congratulatory song in his wedding, which was later joined by EXO.

He has sung the most OSTs in her dramas.

She was also the first artist he ever collaborated with for his solo album.

He always attends her movie premiers and comes to her first show of each album.

He’s always buying her food and just taking care of her.

Heart does the same thing for him. She visits him whenever he has busy schedules with food and a gentle reminder to take care and that he did well.

💕🎸 Chanyeol | Park Chanyeol 🎸💕

Chanyeol and Heart are pretty similar, in the way they are absolutely willing to do their best for others.

Heart even said that he’s a uselessly tall, uselessly loud, uselessly exaggerated version of herself.

He taught her to play the drums and is the reason her guitar collection initially grew.

He helped her build furniture for her studio and her library, which the two spent three whole months building.

She’s a regular in NNG and he is always seen in her VLogs.

She is the only person he doesn’t hit when he’s laughing because once he did, Heart cried. He felt so terrible about it that he spent days apologizing and buying her gifts even though she said she forgave him.

They literally compete over everything, their competitive spirit could burn down SM, if they wanted.

He used to drop her home all the time when they were trainees, because she lived on the way to his home, which was a lie because he lived in the opposite direction.

He always asks for her advice while gift-shopping for his sister or mother.

He’s always teasing her about being short enough to be his armrest or how she’s invisible in his jackets.

He’s like her chauffeur because he’s always picking her up or dropping her off somewhere in his blue vespa or his G8 Mercedes Benz.

He was the one who helped her buy her car and is the one who usually drives it around too because Heart doesn’t like driving much.

They are also travel buddies, always taking trips every other month.

💕🐧 DO | Doh Kyungsoo 🐧💕

She thought he was a pervert the first time she met him cause all he did was stare scarily at her.

They only started talking to each other when they were given an assignment during their trainee years.

DO is another mother hen, at least to Heart.

He’s always cooking and buying her food.

They always visit the local food gems and are often cooking together too.

He is always willing to feed her if she’s tired and cook for her if she says she’s craving something.

When they are cooking together the members call it a feast, because when Heart cooks it comes in multiple courses and wine.

He never finds Heart annoying even if that is plainly what she is doing, annoying him.

He listens to whatever she has to say and engages her in a conversation even when not necessary.

He cooked for her during her school years and even ironed her uniforms.

He’s always talking about how he’s proud of how much she’s grown over the years.

He’s always laughing at her jokes and even joins at times in her mocking the members.

DO is an absolute chatterbox with her, if that doesn’t explain why their relationship is the cutest to see, then nothing does.

He always initiates conversations with her when they are standing in perfect silence.

He also tells her everything about everything. He can’t keep things to himself, especially if the listener is Heart.

He is her rock in the group aware of all her thoughts and secrets.

Even though he looks like he doesn’t care, Heart could bet her life that he cares too much.

💕🐻 Kai | Kim Jongin 🐻💕

Jongin’s her favorite to rile up and bully because his reactions are cute and he always goes, ‘I’m your oppa!’ as if that would save him from getting bullied.

Kai treats her like he treats his Noonas, annoying and mocking them around.

Usually, Heart does the same back, she bullies Kai like nobody’s business. No matter of whines and puppy eyes stops her from mocking the guy and only stops when she is distracted by something else.

She says she can’t get a night’s rest if she hasn’t dissed him.

Both have baby fever and are often found giggling like children over children.

It’s like they have some sort of competition to see who will win over the most kids in their vicinity, as they smother the child with love, attention and gifts.

Fans love seeing them with children and there are also fans who say they’d make great parents to their babies.

Kai even let her help him choose his clothes for his debut and takes her opinions if he’s having trouble with something.

He goes to her for advice cause she can tell the same thing Suho would say but with more logic and love.

He cried when the manager pulled a prank on him saying the company wants to remove Heart from the group.

He always gets shy when she says he’s good looking or that he has a great body and smiles, saying 'Don’t~’.

His family absolutely loves Heart, his niece and newphew included. They always sing and dance to her songs unlike his, which they claim they are bored of.

Heart always pampers the kids whenever they meet her and honestly, Kai’s jealous of the attention and love they give her as opposed to their own uncle.

Kai and Heart are regular customers in Kai’s sister’s Café.

Kai actually helped Heart get better in dancing to sharper and stronger choreographies because Heart was trained to dance more prettily and with a grceful flow.

Kai also tends to just hug Heart if she's riled up, she’s not listening anyway.

They are also always buying ridiculously expensive stuff as gifts for others and each other.

He always bothers her about not giving him any of her artwork and accuses her of being partial.

Maybe, because he grew up with older sisters, Kai is easily the most comfortable with everything womanly in Heart. Periods, mood swings, cravings, cripping about heels, k-drama marathons, emotions everything.

Kai is the one usually the one to accompany SeHun to buy her sanitary products from the store.

He’s also the one who knows the most about period remedies. He has pain killers and sanitary products for her in his home.

He’s also very willing to cuddle with her, if the need be.

Kai behaves like an absolute child around her, but God forbid anyone says anything against her, he’ll be ready destroy the person.

💕🐥 Sehun | Oh Sehun 🐥💕

Sehun is Heart’s partner-in crime, her Best friend, her twin brother from another mother and all that.

They are close, weirdly affectionate and almost telepathic.

You don’t see many interactions when they are in large groups but the stories that you hear are downright hilarious.

Their colleagues and friends think that they could burn down the world when they are together.

Their natural chemistry really showed when in Busted and fans couldn’t help but love the interactions they had.

The stories that SM staffs, their mutual friends and colleagues share often make you wonder where their braincells are.

They are sassy with each other but wouldn’t let anyone else speak a word against the other.

Sehun refuses to let his actor friends meet Heart because he knows everyone is a fanboy of hers and is mildly scared that they’ll get romantically interested in her.

Heart, on the other hand wants Sehun to fall in love with a nice person and if you are friends with Heart, you’ll meet Sehun eventually.

They are very tame usually on camera though, but once they team up and select a target, they are nightmares personified.

They have the most online interactions, with the other teasing or complimenting the other, though teasing happens more.

They are drinking partners meaning he drinks while Heart just eats the side dishes.

He’s always blaming her when he loses like ‘Heart is too noisy,’ or 'Heart stood in front of me and blocked my vision’ or some rubbish.

Sehun being the extremely sensitive person that he is, is very quick to notice any sort of changes in Heart’s mood. Because of this he’s usually the first to notice if her mood swings kick in.

Because Heart isn’t one to have tantrums, her mood usually goes from motivated to unproductive very fast.

Sehun usually lets her be and tells the others that she’s nearing her periods, so just let her be.

He’s usually available if she needs anything and is more than willing to buy stuff for her from the store, even if he drags someone else with him.

Sehun hugs Heart to comfort her when she cries because it’s hard to calm her down when she’s emotionally riled up. There’s absolutely no use trying to talk to her. Calm her down first, then talk.

They look all chic and cold but anyone who’s spent time with them knows it’s all a facade, there’s no chicness in EXO, and especially not in the maknae line.

Heart and Her Many Names

[ EXO / SuperM Female Addition: Heart 💕 ]

[ post summary ] a post about how heart earned so many titles and the meaning behind each of her names.

Park Sarang 💕

Heart's parents had her years after their marriage —a rainbow child and they wanted her name to signify what she meant for them, love. Hence, she was named Sarang meaning Love. She was born on Valentine's Day, so that fit well too.

Love Marie Park 💕

Love means Sarang, literally her name in korean. Her family thought having a middle name was stylish and pretty, hence she has a middle name. Marie means a wished for child, because they had her years after trying to conceive and Park is her surname.

Nation's Puppy Love 💕

This title came when she participated in the singing show and nearly all the young children, especially young boys had this cute crush on her. Half the show's viewers were young boys who watched the show for her only. After the show, many boys came to her fansigns, charity concerts and events.

Nightingale Of Korea 💕

The title she got after her soulful voice shook the nation's heart and soul in the show. It's been years since the show but even now, she's still their sweet nightingale.

Heart 💕

Her stage name in Kpop. Her name was inspired by her standing in the group —she's the one soul/heart that EXO-K and EXO-M shared; two bodies but one heart. Now, it's more that she's born on Valentine's Day and her name is Love. Heart is hence, a fitting name.

Valentine Girl 💕

Heart was born on Valentine's Day, so Valentine Girl.

Nation's First Love 💕

This title came by when Heart debuted and there was this general chaos surrounding her. There were some netizens who hated her but the ones who liked her from before loved her more now. The general public adored her even though they hated that she was a part of a boygroup now. It's like those first loves, you want to forget them, hate them and move on but your heart, pun intended, won't let you do that.

Nation's Eternal Love 💕

This title came to be when people realized that even with newer idols and actresses coming to the industry, she still hasn’t lost any of her charm and popularity. Even today, people continue to fall for her. People realized that many of them have liked her since the time she was called Nation’s Puppy Love. They stayed by her when she was called Nation’s First Love and still love her. The Nation decided Heart wasn’t the crush, first love or puppy love kind, this woman was meant to be loved for eternity.

The Ace and Face Of Kpop/Korea 💕

The Ace & Face of K-Pop because once her western schedule increased, people naturally associated her with Korea or K-Pop. Anytime K-Pop or Korea was mentioned her picture would flash along with others.

Human Gucci / Gucci Girl 💕

She is the brand’s Global Ambassador and Muse. This originally used to be Lux’s title, but once she became Human Chanel, Heart naturally became Human Gucci.

Many female idols named her as their Idol or biggest inspiration.

Everybody's Ideal Type / Nation's Ideal Type 💕

A title brought to you by a phase in Korea where nearly everyone, famous or not, named her as their Ideal Type.

[ chapter summary ] heart wakes up to rumors that she’s dating a familiar stranger.

[ author's forenote ] the reveal of heart’s love interest.

The last thing Heart wanted that particular January morning to happen was for the peace in her room to be disrupted and to wake Lux up.

The girl had barely slept through the night and had fallen asleep just two hours ago and Heart hoped nothing more than to get more sleep herself. Sighing, she picked up her phone that had been ringing for the past few minutes. Swiping the green icon, she put the device to her ears. Her Manager’s concerned voice rang in her ear, asking where she was.

“Home, oppa.” She let out a yawn, “I’m with Lux.” She settled comfortably into the bed, feeling the tiredness seeping into her body. It had been a hard few weeks and Heart was barely making it through the days with little rest. She wanted nothing more than some sleep and hearty food.

“Can you come to the company quickly?”

“Why?” Heart asked, sat up on her bed. “What happened?” She rubbed her eyes, trying to rub the sleep off her eyes.

“Are you dating someone?” The question took a while to register in her tired brain.

“Uh no?” Heart sounded unsure, not because she wasn’t sure of her relationship status but why was her relationship status first thing in question this morning.

“Are you sure?” The man seemed to have picked upon the doubt in her voice.

“I think I would for sure know if I’m dating someone,” She scoffed, grumpy about the doom her supposed day-off is going to face.

“You aren’t lying, are you?” He pressed.

“Oppa, why would I lie to you?” She scoffed at him, exhaustion making her snappy. She stood up from her bed, not wanting to wake her cousin up. “I don’t have a dating ban, I can date freely if I want to!”

“But, you have to tell the company that!” Heart rolled her eyes. She walked to the kitchen to get some water.

“You called me to let me know that I have to let you guys know about my non-existent love-life?” Heart asked, confused at the sudden interest in her love life. “Why is my dating life in question first thing in the morning?”

Heart was getting frustrated at his lack of elaboration. She took sips of water, wincing slightly at the cold water. The coldness seemed to have woken her up slightly, as she placed the bottle back.

“I’m not joking, Heart,” The manager took a deep breath and asked sternly, “Are you dating someone?”

“You woke me up from my well-deserved sleep to interrogate me about my non-existent love life?” Heart scoffed in frustration —why wasn’t he believing her and why the hell won’t he elaborate? “Oppa, I’m not fooling around” Heart countered, equally stern, “But, you have to tell me what’s bringing about these questions,”

“Dispatch dropped an article last night,” The manager supplied, sounding slightly disgusted the outlet, “..that you are dating,”

“Can I know who the guy is or is it a woman?” Heart asked, finding some sort of amusement in the supposed scandal. Dispatch and it’s obsession with wanting a say in the romance of her life, she shook her head.

“V,” The manager revealed, waiting for Heart to catch on.

“What?” Heart asked, voice raising in shock, “Who?”

“Kim Taehyung,” The manager reminded her, “You know him, BTS!”

“Of course I know V, I know BTS, but- but, I’m not dating him! I’m not dating anyone!” Heart told him, “Oppa, are you sure it’s not Moon who I am supposed to be dating?” Having a rumour that she and Moon were dating sounds more plausible than her dating V. “I don’t know him like that! Heck, I’m not even friends with him!”

“Come to the company, Heart,” The manager sighed, “We need to have a proper chat.”

Heart sighed, she wanted to spend the day with Lux. “Just release a statement, oppa. I’m not dating anyone.” Heart told him, dismissing any more questions that might come. She didn’t want to involve herself in this mess. “BigHit probably will release one soon too.”

“Yes, but the company still wants to have a chat,” He told her, “I’ll see you in an hour.”

“Okay,” Heart sighed, “But, I’ll be taking off tomorrow,” She demanded, making the man chuckle in agreement and just disconnected the call.

Her and Taehyung dating?

That’s ridiculous, Heart thought to herself as she searched for all the articles relating to the news on her laptop.

There were hundreds of articles congratulating the two and some bashing them for their alleged love affair. Heart digged deeper trying to find what actually caused this mess. She and Taehyung barely interacted with each other, the man too shy to even greet her. Heart not wanting you make him uncomfortable, always greeted the group as a whole.

While her relationship with BTS was good, they were friends but Taehyung was always a closed book to her.

He was more a familiar stranger than a friend.

Moon often mentioned that he was a fan since her singing competition days and that his mother was a fan of her dramas. She never interacted with him on stage, and off-stage he always hid from her.

Sure, she has heard industry and mutual friends tell her about his ‘crush’ on her, but there were tons of men who have claimed her as their Ideal Type. Surely, it was all talk. They like her looks, she appeals to their eyes, that’s was it.

Wouldn’t he have done something if he really liked her?

Moon and her were best friends, she could have set them up if he so badly wanted her.

Scrolling through articles, she found out the source of the rumor. It was an article by Dispatch, showing their proof; V and her wearing similar clothes, them being spotted at the same places (Moon’s Hannam Apartment and BigHit Office), him attending her shows (along with Moon and JungKook, which they had conveniently forgotten), their theory on why Taehyung loves Gucci so much (because she was Gucci’s Global Ambassador and Muse), how he always wears her collabs with other brands, how he always attends her art exhibitions and movie premiers (along with Moon who let’s him tag along as her plus one) and lot of other stuff, but the what spilled the tea was Taehyung was recently spotted at the airport carrying a custom-painted bag; the very one Heart painted for Moon, because she wanted to gift her member a gift he’d cherish the most. Dispatch recognized Heart’s Signature on the art and decided that yes, Taehyung and her were dating.

Heart had to laugh at the absurdity, like they didn’t have photos of them together or anything that could actually cause rumors, just a conspiracy theory. She sighed, Moon was going to call soon.

BTS were in America for a schedule, and were going to be back in a few days. She was going to feel so guilty about causing whatever this was, Heart thought as she typed out a message for the girl. Just as she was about to send it, her phone rang. It was Moon. Heart smiled to herself, picking the call up.

“Sarang!” Moon’s worried voice came through, “Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” Heart laughed at the panic coating her voice. “Why would I be not?”

“I’m sorry, it’s all my fault!” Moon sounded like she was about to cry. “l should have known this would turn out this way.”

“It’s okay, Hyeon.” Heart consoled her, “It’s all false anyway. The company will clear it up. It’s okay.” Heart knew Moon was very skeptical about such scandals and tried her very best to stay away from romance scandals and tried her best to not cause such scandals for others. It wasn’t her fault and Heart wanted Moon to know that. “It’s not your fault, Moon. It’s not your fault.” She repeated her words firmly.

“But I definitely caused it!” She sighed, “But don’t worry, We just heard about the articles, BigHit will soon release a statement. Don’t worry.” She assured Heart, more so herself.

Heart laughed, “I’m not worried, Hyeon. I’m doing great, I just have to talk to the company, then we’ll release a statement. I’ll be fine.”

“l can’t believe people have the time in their days to cook up this mess!” Moon groaned. “I hate Dispatch!” She spat, cursing the media outlet.

“We really can’t do much about it, can we?” Heart asked, laughing, “Anyways, I’ll talk to you later. I have to go to the company.” Moon hummed and bid her byes, leaving Heart to get ready for her day.

Heart sent a quick text to EXO group chat and to the trio’s group chats that she was fine, the article was fake and that she’d go fix everything first and contact them afterwards. She quickly sent a text to Johnny asking him to come over quickly to be with Lux, who had woken up sometime during the phone call because she was looking at Heart, with a questioning look.

“You have to be somewhere?” She asked, walking up to her, “I thought it was your day off.”

“Something came up,” Heart supplied, not considering it a big deal, “I have a meeting with the company and then, we just have to release a statement, and it’ll be all good.”

“Statement?” Lux asked head tilting, moving to grab herself a bottle of water.

Heart waited for her to continue in typical Lux fashion, but it never came. Heart shook her head, “Yeah, Dispatch released articles about me dating someone, it’s a mess, so I’m needed at the company for them to release the statement.”

“Who’s the lucky guy?” Lux smiled in what seemed like days to Heart. She smiled back, telling her it was V from BTS. “So it finally happened,” Lux grinned, shaking her head. “You had this coming for years now.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“The man has always been very very open about his crush on you,” Lux offered, “It was only a matter of time till it reached a point where people made up lies to make up a scandal.” She looked thoughtful, “He has never approached you off-stage, has he?”

Heart replied, “No,”

“He should’ve,” Lux tsked, “I think you’d look good together, you’d mesh well together.”

“So, you are shipping us now?” Heart laughed, making Lux nod.

Lux nodded, “What’s wrong with me shipping you with him? He’s the only one of all the people who’ve claimed you as their ideal type that genuinely seems interested in your work and interests. I approve of him.”

“Ah, he’s Lux-approved!” Heart acted impressed, “It’s an important qualification for my potential suitors.”

Lux laughed, playing along. “Of course, you have my permission to date him! Both of you have my blessings and best wishes.”

“We are not going to date,” Heart stated, to which Lux only smirked.

“You never know,” She shrugged, “—all I have to say is my senses are tingling… I can already feel the romance blooming in the near future!” She closed her eyes, and acted as if she was clairvoyant.

Heart rolled her eyes, “Is your hungry stomach tingling too? Because I called Johnny to keep you company, and..” She stopped Lux from talking, raising a hand, “…he’s picking up your favorites for breakfast, so please don’t try to tell me you’ll be better alone than with him and some food in your stomach.”

“I’m fine, you know,” Lux whined regardless, “I won’t cause trouble, I promise. I just want to sleep.”

“You can,” Heart nodded calmly, “Just let him lounge around. I don’t want you alone in here.” She said in a tone of finality, which made Lux sigh.

“Ask him to buy those soufflé pancakes too.” Lux muttered lips jutted in a pout, “Also, bubble tea.” Heart grinned, chiming in agreement and leaving the room after she pressed a kiss to Lux’s forehead.

By the time Heart left her penthouse, Johnny had arrived with Lux’s favorite foods for breakfast and the two were already digging in.

At the company, the people waiting for her were a lot. She was carefully escorted to the company by her manager and bodyguards and then began her meeting with the PR Team. She told them that she wasn’t dating anyone and that the bag was painted on request of Moon, for V’s birthday. It was just a friend doing a favor for a friend and didn’t involve anything with V. Her managers seemed pretty disappointed at her not actually dating, but the PR Team seemed pretty pleased and reminded her that if she ever was to date, to let them know.

Heart laughed but she knew she probably wouldn’t let them know. Soon, the statement was released after a quick chat with BigHit, who also released a statement saying that the rumors were false and that Taehyung and Heart weren’t dating because Taehyung was too shy to actually talk to Heart, let alone date her.

What If Heart and Jungkook Dated

[ EXO / SuperM Female Addition: Heart 💕 ]

Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

Heart and Jungkook mainly know each other due to Moon and Heart’s friendship. Jungkook knew her from school as a very popular sunbae, through her show and of course, EXO but on a semi-personal level through Moon because everytime she hung out with Heart and Theia, she’d bring Jungkook along and Theia would bring Yugyeom and BamBam (mostly only Yugyeom because BamBam took time to meet his Thai friends in the Industry.) This was the start of 97-Line Chat, but that’s not the point of this post.

Heart never really sees Jungkook as a man. She sees him as the shy little boy who clung to Moon all the time; the boy she had to coax to talk to her with bribes of sweets and banana milk. Until, that one fateful award night where Heart has a serious fashion mishap, just before she makes it out of stage and she needs to be back in five minutes but the zipper of her dress opened, right as she backed away out of the stage. Now, the dress was a white gorgeous creation. It clung onto her skin and when it opened from the back, Heart would panic and hold the dress to her body trying to stop it from showing skin. She was practically naked under that dress.

Then, suddenly she’d have a jacket thrown over her shoulders and a desperate call of, “This way, Noona. Saw a room somewhere here.” She’d vaguely recognize the voice as Jungkook and would quietly let him press himself against her as he pulls the two into a small room close by. “Should I call someone Noona? Is your stylist or manager close by?” He’d ask, anxiety taking over him. Heart was the show’s MC, she needs to be back on stage in five. “You-you can zip it, Kook!” Heart says desperately, “I don’t think my manager or team is around, so please just zip it!” Heart will probably be very embarrassed and flustered and Jungkook would realize this and try his best to soothe her. He knew she probably felt harassed, he was a man after all and she was dangerously close to flashing herself. So, he’d try his best to respect her boundaries.

“I won’t look, Noona. I promise.” He’d say and close his eyes. He’d probably tell her to help him reach the zip and pull it up and everything would be fine. The event would go as usual and both Heart and Jungkook keep meeting each other's gazes so much more than normal. (I think something significant needs to happen for Heart and JungKook to break this siblings’ best friend and best friend’s sibling type thing they have going on between them. It need not be like this, but something hitting so that they can see each other as something other than Moon’s Best friend and Moon’s Baby; to see each other as a romantic interest.)

Heart is a bit of an overthinker and the kind to look too deep into shit. She’d probably think too much about Jungkook and develop feelings for him. She’d watch his stages a little too intently, ask very discreetly about him to Moon and stalk him a little on the internet.

And then, it would hit her.

Jungkook, the little boy had grown up into a fine young man, a painfully fine young man.

When did this happen? She’d wonder. Where was I when this happened?

The energy between the two definitely shifts after that incident because they relaxed around each other and also are weirdly tense. They’d probably talk to each other more, through Kakao and occasional calls. Moon wouldn’t be kept in the dark about them talking, obviously but both definitely don’t mention how they speak a little too much for someone who are only casually talking. They’d video-chat with each other on odd days.

Moon doesn’t realize the two are getting close, because Moon, as observant as she is, she’s very oblivious to matters of the heart.

Jungkook would want to pursue her properly and you know, get to know her more and would probably invite her on a date, he nevers calls it that but it’s implied, okay?

A dinner and movie at his apartment because he’s gotten really good at cooking and needs Heart’s feedback. That would be his excuse.

Yes, lame and extremely sneaky but Heart sees through that. They’d watch a sappy romance that Heart picked. They’d probably end up snuggling on his large couch and get a little too close for a noona and dongsaeng. They end up kissing too. They’d kiss and the two would freak out; because this feels dangerous and felt extremely wrong when it isn’t; siblings best friend and best friend’s sibling trope maybe (?)

Heart would avoid him for a while, probably unintentionally ghost him and once she gets herself together, she’d talk to Theia and Lux about it. The resident relationship counselor would just tell Heart to talk to Moon, preferably alone. Lux would tell her to be sure if she likes Jungkook or not and then, talk to Moon.

Jungkook probably tells Moon first though, that he likes Heart and that they kissed and now, Heart wasn’t talking to him. Moon would be a little worried because knowing Heart’s trouble with the relationship but she would tell him to be patient and wait.

Then, Heart would stumble into her apartment one day and tell Moon that she likes Jungkook and everything and how she thinks might not like her anymore because she practically ghosted him; all the while Jungkook’s eavesdropping from the other room.

Now, the moment she starts doubting herself, JK, the Sexiest Man Alive would stumble out very unsexily and kiss her right there; in the middle of the Moon’s kitchen.

“I still like you Noona, I’d never not like you! I’m glad you like me! Thank you for liking me!” He’d say between his kisses and hugs. He’d just be so happy that she reciprocates his feelings. Heart only glares at Moon.

A heads-up about Jungkook’s presence in the next room would’ve been greatly appreciated.

Moon trusts Heart and Jungkook would never hurt another soul. So, she doesn’t have much trouble with them dating though she does tell Jungkook to keep his clinginess on the low when she’s around; unless she’s with her boyfriend too and she can focus on him and not on her friend and baby romancing.

He’d ask her out there and she’d agree. Once they officially begin to date though, Heart and Jungkook fall into the relationship zone pretty well.

Both of them struggle a bit because Heart tries to not smother him and Jungkook doesn’t want to seem like an immature boy. But, at the end of the day that’s how they show love and they come to this perfect mix of fretting over the other, teasing and playing around.

Heart tells EXO and now, with them really wanting to treat Heart like a grown woman and not a baby, they’d act like everything is great and they aren’t freaking out. They’d act like they are all understanding and mature. They probably go overboard with it too, a younger man? good on you! But on the inside, they have asked every industry friend of their about the boy. They’ve interrogated BTS and have asked everyone they know who knows Jungkook about him and after they’ve finally done everything to satisfy themselves, they invite Jungkook to dinner.

Keep this out of Heart's ears, Jungkook-ssi. They’d say, We just want to talk to you, man to man.

Lay flew to Korea for this, alright? They all gather and have dinner with drinks together. Jungkook is nervous obviously, Heart is EXO’s baby and knows all of them are protective over her, very protective. They’d ask him questions -interrogate- and honestly, they end up liking him and they came there thinking they wouldn’t like him. He’s sweet and really likes Heart -he’s that obvious- and hey, holds his drinks well and boy can eat. But they still tell him that they’ll have his head if he ever hurt Heart and all that shit.

BTS on the other hand, aren’t all that worried about Heart dating JungKook because they love Heart, that’s Moon’s best friend and they know her, but they do still give her a talk about how Jungkook is a sensitive and loving kid and needs all the love he can get. They’d ask her not to break his heart, very nicely.

Now, Girlfriend Heart is a different breed of sweet, okay?

She does her absolute best to make sure Jungkook is happy and comfortable. She has a cabinet full of his favorite snacks and drinks and groceries always present so she can cook anything for him, if he’s hungry. She has soft smelling fresheners in her home because her boyfriend is sensitive to smell. She plays video games with him even when she can’t beat him and he won’t let her win and watches romance movies with him and wipes tears if he cries. She’d also play guitars, sing for him and they’d duet as they cook. They’d play singing games because they are both gifted vocalists and they’d dance too. Jungkook would teach her BTS’s choreo and learn Heart’s for fun. They probably can’t keep their hands to themselves because Jungkook is a clinger and Heart needs a clinger.

Their Ideal date would either be cooking together, while singing duets and eating together or painting with each other. And she’d be surprised how good Jungkook is. She’d put up his painting in her home. She’d tell everyone that her boyfriend painted that masterpiece too. Heart’s life suddenly becomes a full-time photoshoot with Jungkook always hanging around with his camera out, cooing how pretty his girlfriend is.

Heart would probably let him feature in one of her title tracks: with at least an appearance in the MV and a performance -if Jungkook can push it, he’d probably join in dancing too- Heart is a bit of an adventurer, having travelled around since childhood, she likes travelling and she’d probably drag Jungkook out too. Not all the time, but enough to get him some fresh air out of home. He’d probably be her photographer and fans would notice her sudden constant sns updates with really good pictures of herself. Just very cute stuff okay?

Now, Jungkook is a look-at-this-gorgeous-kind-human-i’m-dating kinda person, meaning he always wants to show off his girlfriend to the world and let them know she’s off-limits. But with his idol life comes the con of hiding the love of his life. Heart doesn’t mind much, she’d have let him announce their relationship if it wasn’t for the fear of having to break up due to their careers and companies. Jealousy is there, but they’ll learn to navigate it. They would fight, like any couple would but they’d make up very fast because they are too scared of not having the other in their life anymore. Both Heart and JK are crybabies, so there’s a lot of crying as they makeup.

Fans would notice and they’d ship it, but nothing is done very obviously. Like they are seen catching each others’ gaze a little too much. There’s similar clothing and maybe, couple accessories (?). They have been fans of each other so singing each other’s songs isn’t a huge deal. So there’s just not much there. Both their companies are kept in the dark about this. Now, as they get serious they unofficially move-in with each other -which isn’t that hard, they were practically apartment-mates before they started dating, now Heart just has extra space in the apartment next to her; Moon, Jungkook and Heart live in the same building- They just are in each other’s spaces a lot more if they aren’t in their dorms. Heart’s stuff is everywhere in his place and Jungkook’s clothes are at home. She’s definitely painting him; he’d do the same, because talented kids, why not?

Sometime along they’d have to meet each other’s friends and 97-line is happy that their friend is happy and it’s Heart what could go wrong. Since, Heart has a lot of friends, he first meets her cousins; Lee Taeyang, Lee Noeul -Lux- and Park Hyungsik. They are nice but he finally gets why Heart was worried about meeting them. They are relentlessly honest; teasing them, questioning and doing everything to make sure that they are embarrassed. It’s only when dessert is served that they stop and let them be. You can bet Hyungsik asked V and Lux asked Jaehyun about what kind of a person Jungkook was. She probably asked him the moment Heart told her about Jungkook -she’s been in the loop since day one- and honestly, she approves of him.

Heart’s parents probably find him rummaging through his snacks in her home and are like Who are you? Why are you in our daughter’s home? And, did you just come out of her bedroom? JungKook is shook because he knows he hasn’t told her parents and how do you tell your future in-laws that you are their daughter’s boyfriend without the daughter herself without making it weird. Like he wants to be respectful and nice and wouldn’t I’m her boyfriend sound weird? Heart would come and rescue him from her parents and introduce him to them properly. They talk to him and they like him. They probably start calling him son the next day. Now, he has come to expect them to call every now and then and ask him how he’s doing and how everything is going on. They start watching BTS’s shows and performances to show support for their son-in-law.

You don’t just become a partner of someone from the Park-Lee-Shim Household, you become a member. And this means you are invited to their brunches, lunches, dinners, parties and everything. So, now Jungkook is there to socialize and get to know the family. Heart sticks to him knowing his shyness and helps him navigate the mess of her family. He’d be an instant favourite in her family, because he’s handsome, nice and respectful.

Jungkook’s family already knows of Heart. He couldn’t keep it to himself and his family lightly put, loves her. They are already calling her daughter because their son is whipped, this boy is marrying her. He probably introduces them over dinner, in his apartment. Heart would cook, would set up the table and do the absolute most and would probably even bring them gifts. His parents love her, not only because Heart is a great woman but also, she makes their son so happy.

Jungkook would write a song and propose. He’d take her to a place that’s special to them and bring out a ring he designed. They’d probably keep their relationship in the wraps until its time and they’d announce marriage. It breaks the internet, EXO-Ls and ARMYs freak out because their babies are dating?! Since when? How did they not know? Looking back, were they obvious? How did they last so long? Who set them up? Is this an elaborate prank?!

They’d get married away from everyone with their closest friends and family and hold a reception in Seoul for the rest of us. Their members' kids will be included in their wedding party. Both cry while walking the aisle, and they’d both perform that night, their groups included because Hey! Their babies are married! It’d be just a fun time with lots of pictures taken. Heart would probably have someone paint the ceremony as it happens, you know artist things. It’s just an elaborate and well thought event. Heart puts a lot of thought into every thing and Jungkook’s just happy he’s marrying the love of his life.

They’d probably take a long break away from work and travel. They put out music, yes -because they can’t live without something out- but they won’t promote. They’d have two kids in a few years; an older girl and a younger boy.

They’d build a home in the outskirts of Seoul, in a fairly empty township away from prying eyes. If Jungkook was a protective boyfriend and husband, he’s an overprotective father. But, it also means he’s there for her every time of the day. Anything she or the kids needs, he’s willing to provide. He’d play with his kids and really introduce them to many things around. They’d nurture their kids like they were raised and nurtured. They’d make great parents. They’d love their kids, be in love and live happily ever after!

Fanboy Fantasies

[ author's forenote ] I know I've been gone but i've been working on few different things.. so, updates will be slow but I'll be back soon. till then, enjoy!

If there's something everyone knows about Taehyung, it's his love for Heart, his ultimate idol.

His love for her started when he was young -about ten years old- and he had seen her on his neighbors TV, singing beautifully. She had sung so well that the audience had given her a standing ovation and massive cheers, screaming praises for her. Taehyung had done the same too, much to the amusement of his family. He had kept track of her since her audition throughout the competition, celebrating with the whole nation when she won and dreaming to meet her one day. He had a teensy crush on her, his family teased him but he paid no mind.

When she donated all of her winning money and money from her charity concerts -something he wanted to attend but knew could not- to underprivileged kids and families, he remembers distinctively how his family cooed at her being an angel and hoped that she'd do well in her life.

Over the years, he kept seeing her on billboards, posters and occasionally on TV till he heard of her debut. She was finally debuting but as a member of a group. Taehyung didn't think much of it, as long as she sang again, he was happy. A group was a start.

When he heard of her debuting in a boy group, he was taken aback. Why was a pretty, talented girl like her debuting in a majorly boy, co-ed group?

He saw the slander and hate she was being put through and hated that he couldn't do anything to help. He didn't have enough money to buy her albums, didn't have enough to attend her shows, he was helpless but he constantly prayed she'd stay strong and do well. This was a storm and it would pass. He prayed she had people around her who loved her and took care of her.

Amidst all this, he had grown a love for performing and music himself and moved to Seoul.

Seoul was scary as he had expected, he met and became friends with his now bandmates and he became V of BTS.

Over the years as V, he did most of what he wanted to do as a Heart Fanboy. He brought her album, attended her concerts, binge watched her dramas, watched her musicals, attended her art exhibitions and movie premiers -thanks to Moon for getting him VIP entry tickets- and brought all her collaborations with different fashion brands and endorsements once he was able to afford them.

When she was announced as his favorite brand's ambassador and muse, he was over the moon. All the more reason for him to wear Gucci now. He brought anything with Heart's face on it and supported all the causes she supported. He talked about her in interviews, in nearly all the shows BTS were in and in his everyday life, on and off-camera. In simple words, V was a full-fledged fanboy.

Everyone knew of it; his family, friends, army and even his antis. He'd get hate for liking Heart, but he didn't care. Army -in an attempt to cheer him up- brought him exclusive Heart goodies during fansigns and for his birthday. He lived happily as a fanboy, being one of the millions that loved her.

He didn't mind it at all.

Anytime he had to have an actual interaction with her, he'd avoid it. He was too shy to talk to her, making Moon do all his work for him. He'd ask her to get his albums and posters signed, and get her to give him exclusive Heart content, which Moon always reminded him was awfully stalker-ish while the rest teased him for his very obvious crush pestering him to make an actual move. They'd set him up with Heart, his actor friends told him, if he mustered up the courage to actually go on a date with her.

As time went by, he became friends with most of her friends, their friend circle expanding into each other and meshing almost as one. But, he still never made a move. Something in him always stopped him. He wasn't enough, he felt. He needed to do better to be with her, to be worthy of her. He had stayed away from her, made and avoided his plans to talk to her.

That is until early 2018, when the rumor broke out.

Taehyung had been ecstatic to receive his birthday gift from Moon; an in-demand, hard-to-find Gucci bag -it was on his wishlist but he never managed to get it- with art painted over it. Before he could marvel at the art, his eyes first noticed the signature on it.

Love Marie.

It was signed and fanboy Taehyung could recognize the signature anywhere. The bag was an ink black with both it's sides painted. One side was filled colorfully with images of things that made him happy; his members, army, etc and on the other side was him, though the painting didn't take the whole of the surface. It was a painting of him, donning a look from the recent DNA era.

His hair was a fluffy, silvery grey, he was wearing a white shirt and earrings adorning his ears. It was his best look so far, everyone had told him. DNA had been his era. Maybe even Heart thought so, because according to Moon, she had given Heart all the creative freedom to do whatever she wanted with the bag and Heart had conjured up the masterpiece in his hands. There were flowers painted around him and every detail of him was painted so precisely and beautifully that Taehyung felt beautiful for a long while. He was good-looking, he knew that but as an art lover, he knew art was how artists saw their world and his heart soared at being seen as so pretty in Heart's eyes. He was doing the most for himself, he was aware of it but he couldn't help it. His fanboy self was on cloud nine.

He had tucked the bag away safely in his closet, promising himself that he would personally thank Heart for the masterpiece bestowed upon him.

When BTS left for LA that January, he had pulled out the bag and had made it a statement piece of his airport look. The bag was going to make so many appearances from then on. But, that first appearance had caused the rumor, and the fear and stress that caused Taehyung on that beautiful day was not funny.

It all started when he had this influx of congratulations from friends, who all sent very similar messages; finally, can't believe you did it, you lucky thief, congratulations, when are we meeting her etc. Honestly, Taehyung had been clueless as his phone blew up. When he was about to question them about what was actually happening, Manager Sejin came bearing news. He had called them up while they were settling down in their hotel rooms, simply interrogating Taehyung over his dating life with Heart.

Moon had come to his rescue claiming that they weren't dating and she had commissioned the bag from Heart, for Taehyung as a birthday gift. Manager Sejin had accepted the answer, begrudgingly wondering why even bothered to think that Taehyung had finally gathered courage to talk to his beloved Heart.

BigHit had a talk with SM and they released a statement each. While SM had given a standard statement saying Heart wasn't dating anyone, BigHit had done theirs with a shadowed snark claiming Heart and V weren't dating, weren't even friends actually, all because V was too big of a coward to actually speak to her. They also added a heartfelt thanks from Taehyung's side because they thought he'd never even be able to thank her.

It had become more of a joke in the industry than a scary scandal.

Taehyung had spent a large part of the night, reading through all the articles, videos, their comment section, even online communities and major internet sites regarding the rumor, wondering what the reaction was; much to his surprise, a lot of them were positive. Many were congratulating them and celebrating.

Once the statement had been released, the reaction seemed disappointed but most of the fans seemed hopeful; maybe this will finally initiate a conversation between them, maybe they'll get together in the future, maybe Heart will approach him etc.

Taehyung went to bed around early dawn, making up his mind that he was finally going to make a move. He had gone about with his days after that, with usual teasing from his members, fans bringing him Heart's merch and all until Taehyung was called to the BigHit office where they told him the news.

"Vogue contacted us," The woman had told him, "They want you to model for their newest release with Heart, and it's a green from Heart's side. Gucci is sponsoring it. They want you and Heart."

Taehyung had stayed silent for a whole five minutes and then told them he'd have to talk to his members before deciding on anything. He had calmly walked out after their agreement and the moment he was out the room, he ran. He ran straight to his members who were waiting for him in the dance studio to practice. He's panting roughly as he relayed the news.

The boys weren't shocked, they had expected this. Heart had called Moon and told her about the collaboration, if you will and had told her that if by any chance Taehyung was uncomfortable, even to the slightest, Moon has to tell her and she would stop this from happening, she'd find another partner or she'd find someone else for him to model with.

"Are you uncomfortable with this, Tae?" Moon asked, looking at him as if searching for any sign for his discomfort. "I can te-"

"No no no, oh no." Taehyung gestures wildly, "It's not that! I'm- I'm not uncomfortable! I'm freaking happy that this is happening!"

"Um, okay." Moon nodded, slightly startled at the sudden movement from V and added, "You'll do it, then?"

"Yeah, Yeah," He sounded so giddy and happy to his own ears that he couldn't stop himself from blushing, at the thought of a couple photoshoot with his long-time crush. "I want to do this. I can't believe I get to do this!"

His happiness knew no bounds and over the few days up until the day of the shoot. Taehyung could barely sleep the night before the shoot. His band mates laughed at him, uttering words of encouragement and comforting head rubs.

Even the staff were teasing him and laughing anytime Heart was mentioned. Like he knew he was obvious, years of teasing from his members taught him that. But how obvious must he have been for the staff to tease him? He thought he was getting better at his poker face? Was he not? Anyways, he wasn't allowed to dwell on it much.

On the day of the photoshoot, he was dressed to impress. He wore a nice button up and slacks with shiny loafers. His hair was nicely made, even though the stylists would change up everything for the shoot. He had stayed silent throughout the ride to the venue, going through the file filled with the magazine's mood board for the shoot.

It was filled with photos of couples, in various poses that involved being close and very much in each other's personal space. He wondered if he could just stand that close to her and not combust. His anxiousness must have been very obvious cause his manager was shooting him looks.

When he reached the venue, he greeted everyone gathered and thanked them for the work they would do. While the staff giggled their praises at him, he was discreetly informed that Heart wasn't there yet. She would be there soon and he was asked to wait in the dressing room. He sat there, updating his members on what was happening.

All this time, he was blowing up their group chat and as expected they began teasing him and he was about to call them to relieve his nerves when he heard an all-too-familiar voice called out to him.

"Hello, Taehyung-ssi!"

Fighting The Crimson War

[ NCT / SuperM Female Addition: Lux ✨ ]

[ post summary ] mother nature finally decides it’s about time that lux joined her soldiers to fight the crimson war #1.

[ circa ] 2015

[ warnings ] period blood.

Lux went to bed feeling like her body wanted to die; stomach aches, hunger, nausea and throbbing headches. It had been a particularly bad day, while NCT and RoséNoir had wrapped up their promotions and it was basically day-offs for a few days before they had to get back into work but Lux didn’t feel the sense of accomplishment she usually feels after finishing up an album promotion. She felt shitty.

She felt like her insides wanted to blitz itself into some sort of smoothie and she barely was registering her emotions. She wanted to cry, feeling bad over something that happened years ago. She’d have cried herself to sleep if it hadn’t been for JaeHyun, who in his very rare hyper aggressive mood, had tackled her in her bed. The scream that Lux gave out scared the boy, who quickly got into his protective mood, cradling her wincing body.

“Ell-ie, Are you okay?” He asked, guilt drowning him in a second. “Did I hurt you? I’m sorry!” He said, trying to understand how he had hurt her. “Did I hurt you somewhere? Are you in pain?” He asked, cupping her face.

Lux met his eyes, and broke down crying in his arms. JaeHyun resorted to holding her gently, already worried about consequences he was going to face from his members. The commotion had woken up whole of the dorm and everyone was hurriedly filing into her room which she shared with TaeYong.

“What happened?”

“What did you do?”

“Are you hurt?”

“Are you okay?”

The boys asked over each other, trying to find the girl herself. Lux was still in JaeHyun’s arms, crying into his sweatshirt. The boys naturally saw him on her bed and decided whatever had happened, JaeHyun was the reason.

“Yah!” Yuta scolded JaeHyun, “What did you do?” He asked in an accusatory tone, looking ready to kill the younger boy. “Hyung, I-I swear I didn’t do anything!” He tried but even before he could defend himself, Lux was pulled away from him into Johnny’s embrace.

“Bean, you okay?” He asked, rubbing her back and patting her head comfortingly. “Did he hurt you? Are you in pain? What happened, kiddo?” He asked again, slightly glaring at the younger boy who looked scared and worried at the same time.

“It hurts,” She confessed, “I don’t know how, but everything hurts.” She said, sobbing again. “What hurts, Eul-ie? Is it your stomach? Back?” DoYoung asked, sitting next to her, wondering if the time had finally come. JaeHyun had already said he hadn’t done anything except try to hug her, albeit a little aggressively.

“Everywhere,” Her reply came, “I don’t know why,” She added, moving to meet his eyes. “It has been hurting since this afternoon,” She said, sniffling and significantly calmer now that she had time to register if she was in pain and where she was hurting. The initial shock and pain at the tackle had gone and now, she was calming down and felt something trickle down under her.

“Are you starting your periods?”

Yuta’s question hung in the atmosphere and realization slowly dawned on the young girl. “I don’t know,” She whispered, shocked at herself that she hadn’t bothered you think of the most obvious of possibilities.

“Go ahead and check then, Aegi.” He added softly, pulling away her sheets. “C'mon, let’s get you to the bathroom.” He said, leading her out to the bathroom, wincing when she did. “We’ll be here, okay? Don’t worry, we got this!” DoYoung added, reassuringly.

Once Lux was sent in, the room blew up in chaos. “What do we do?” The leader asked them, desperately hoping someone had a plan. He knew nothing about this, he was unprepared as the grasshopper for winter.

“Calm down,” TaeIl said, “If she is really starting her periods, then it’s okay.” He looked around at the others. “We can handle a period, it’s normal. We just have to get her what she needs and be here. That’s what women want the most.”

“How do you know that Hyung?” Mark asked, eyes wide.

“I literally have a younger sister.” TaeIl said, looking around to see if everyone understood his plan.

“I have a sister too, let me call her.” TaeYong looked at him with wide eyes, and scampered out as if suddenly remembering that yes, he too had a sister.

“I’ll call my mum,” Johnny left the room, leaving behind a extremely shaken JaeHyun, Mark and Haechan who were staying over for some reason and Winwin, who looked worried. DoYoung sighed to himself and called the boys closer to him.

“You two, go to the convenience store and get some healthy snacks and chocolate. You know her favorites, don’t you? Buy those.” He instructed the youngest two, pushing money to them. The boys nodded, and left for their mission.

“WinWin, go bring the first aid kit from the living room,” DoYoung instructed a lost looking WinWin who nodded and scurried off, “JaeHyun, you go to my room and bring the black box in my dresser.”

JaeHyun obediently agreed and left. DoYoung having delegated most tasks, looked at Yuta and TaeIl. “Hyung, you two stay behind.” He said, “I’ll bring something to keep her warm and maybe some tea.”

Yuta nodded, moving to stand at the washroom door, waiting patiently for Lux. TaeIl sat on her bed, outwardly calm but his insides were reeling. He checked the sheets to see if they needed to be changed, but there was no need. There were no stains. He made the bed again, fluffed the pillows and piled all the plushes in the room around for extra warmth and comfort.

His sister had her periods years ago and his mother had handled everything. He was always instructed not to bother her and to just nicely stay away from her. It hadn’t bothered him all that much, his sister stayed away from him most of the time and he learnt to navigate around her over the years. But with Lux, he felt responsible. Her family wasn’t around, it was too late into the night for any of them to be properly functioning, the leader had no proper clue on what to do, he was on same boat to a certain extent, most of what he knew was theory. He didn’t know how to do all that he knew. He was thankful for Yuta and DoYoung for having this somewhat under control. He sat patiently waiting for anything that might happen next. The water was running and he could hear the cabinets being opened and closed. Just then, JaeHyun came running with the box in his hand.

“Is this the one?” He asked, looking for DoYoung.

“It is,” Yuta nodded, “DoYoung and I made this for Lux when a time like this would come. Finally, it’s being used!”

“Why did you guys keep it in his room? Why not keep it in the washroom, where it should’ve been?” TaeIl asked, walking up to her two.

“And risk you guys snooping?” Yuta rolled his eyes, “You guys would’ve made it awkward for everyone!”

“It would’ve been even more awkward to find that in DoYoung’s room, but let’s not dwell on this.” TaeIl said, calling the younger girl, when he noticed the water being shut. “Are you okay? Are you starting your periods?” He asked, trying to sound as normal as he could.

She stayed silent for a while, “….yes.”

“Here, take this then.” Yuta said, “Everything you need to navigate the Blood Flood.” He said, like giving a motivational talk. The door opened slightly and Lux peeked out, quickly grabbing the box and slamming the door.

“Now, we wait.” Yuta told the two and settled down on the bed. WinWin came and handed the painkillers they had requested. Yuta looking at the red faced boy and just told him go bed, trying to save both him and Lux from embarrassment. The lesser people, the easier and comfortable this situation would be. Winwin looked relieved to leave and he rushed out.

Inside the bathroom, Lux was freaking out. How did she not think of the first thing she should’ve thought of when cramps were mentioned? She pulled her pants down to noticed the blood on her panties. She had just began bleeding, so it hadn’t transferred onto her grey sweatpants. She sighed, eyes tearing up for reasons she didn’t know. Now, she has a monthly subscription to blood fall in her vagina for every month for the rest of her grown-up life.

She stripped off her clothes, had a quick shower, and was planning on making a makeshift pad with toilet paper when Yuta gave her the black box, everything to navigate the Blood Flood, he had said. He was right.

The box was a chic black, made of sturdy cardboard and it opened to a load of sanitary essentials neatly arranged. Multiple pads, panty liners, period panties (how did they even find her size?) and everything. This could last her months. Even with all the stress, Lux could feel her heart softening and tears flowing. Why were they so sweet to her? What did she even do to deserve all this?

She quickly wiped her tears and got to work. After a few minutes, when she had finally washed up and cleaned up, she realized she didn’t have clothes. Great, she has to be a forgetful idiot when she’s already drowning in unnecessary embarrassment. She thought for a second, and decided to just ask. She’s embarrassed already, might as well go all out.

“Guys,” She called cautiously, wondering if they actually we’re waiting for her. She could hear their faint whispers, but still.

“Yes aegi,” Yuta’s voice came, “What happened? Do you need something?”

“I…” She sighed, “I don’t have clothes, can you bring me a sweatshirt and pants?”

“of course, aegi.” He said, and she heard shuffling. Soon, a sweatshirt and pants were delivered to her through the tiny opening of the door. She thanked them and finally, when she felt better, she was out.

As soon as she stepped out, Lux was expecting to get smothered, but she wasn’t. A surprise, but a welcomed one. She carefully made her way to the bed, Yuta naturally assisting her.

“Are you hungry? The boys bought all your favorite snacks for you.” Yuta said, letting go of her as she got into her bed. “Are you in pain? WinWin bought the painkillers. DoYoung’s getting you chamomile tea and we’ll be here if you want to cuddle.”

“I’m okay,” She lied, suddenly overwhelmed at her actions prior. They were doing so much for her and she was being an oblivious asshole since the start. “I’m sorry. I’m fine.” She said, eyes cast low.

“It’s okay, aegi.” Yuta comforted her, hands cupping her cheeks. “You have nothing to be sorry for.” He added, noticing how she teared up. “Don’t cry, aegi. We are here, you’ll be fine.” He added, taking her in his arms.

“I’m sorry,” She cried, “I’m sorry I’m causing so much trouble. I’m sorry for worrying all of you.” She sobbed, tears flowing down freely. “It’d have better if I was born a boy.” She sobbed more. Yuta could feel her wetting hi shirt.

“Hey, no. no. no.” Yuta stopped her, pulling away from her, and lifting her chin to face him. “Your periods are not a problem to us, aegi. Why would you ever think that?”

“Eull-ie,” DoYoung had made an appearance, carrying a over the bed stool with him. He set it on the floor and moved to her. He sat next to her, patting her head, “The only time you’ll be troubling us is if you suffered through this all alone, while we were here.” He smiled softly, making more tears to drop. “Ask for our help, Eull-ie, we’ll be here at your beck and call, okay?”

Lux just sniffled an okay, and he used his sleeve top wipe her tears. She wiped her face again, trying to regain control over her flowing emotions. “Are you still in pain? Do you want to take painkillers?”

“Can I have that tea you brought?”

“Of course!” He said, quickly grabbing the stool and setting it over her lap. “Here, have these too. It’ll make you feel better.” He added, pointing at the chocolate, chopped fruit and nut topped over yoghurt in a bowl.

“There’s painkillers here,” TaeIl said, making his presence known. “Take them if you want to.”

“Thank you,” She said gratefully, “Thank you so much for putting up with me.”

“We love you, okay?” DoYoung smiled, patting her arm, “Finish this and you can get to sleep. One of us will be here.”

“It’s okay, you can leave, I’ll get to sleep on my own.” She said, noticing that it was in the middle of the night, or nearly dawn. “You guys go sleep.” She added, noticing their tired eyes.

“The Hyungs can go,” JaeHyun spoke for the first time after she had come out. She looked at him, wondering why he seemed so caught on staying back. “I’ll be here.”

The boys considered for a while and soon, left with the empty plates. When the boys had left, JaeHyun climbed into her bed without a word. He got under the sheets, moving closer to her, as if beckoning her to snuggle with him.

“You don’t have to, if you feel uncomfortable.” Lux said, knowing how awkward it might be for JaeHyun as unbothered as he was to cuddle with a bleeding woman.

“I’m not uncomfortable, Ell-ie,” He said, “C'mon,” He opened his arms, and Lux just got into him and got comfortable. Sighing as his warmth hit her, Lux was almost lulling herself to sleep, when JaeHyun spoke up.

“I’m sorry, Ell-ie, I didn’t know.” He said, rubbing her arm. “I thought it would be a normal day and we could just cuddle.”

“It’s okay, Jae.” She soothed, “It’s not like I knew. I wonder what would’ve happened if you never came. I’m glad you did. I overreacted anyway. It’s okay.”

“I’m okay.” She gave him a smile, when she noticed he wanted to talk more and stoped when he yawned. “Let’s just sleep.”

“Good Night,” He pressed a kiss to her forehead and snuggled closer.

“G'night.”
