Lately I’ve been busy with my work stuff and learning to relax on drawing certain stuff (one being important for my irl life) and not trying to force upon finishing projects/wips, sooo… I decided that it was a right time to share out the prototype designs of Mickey and Oswald!! (I say prototype because there will be new designs of them bois sometime in the future, it was sort of like a test on how the keychains will be manufactured with these specific designs)

I feel like there’s needs to be, like, handbook for authors who post on Ao3 for effective metatext.

By metatext I mean like tagging, summary, and authors notes (especially initial authors notes at the beginning of a fic). The means by which we communicate to our readers what they’re getting into.

Because we kind of all have to learn it by osmosis and there are conventions but nobody’s really taught them at the start, so there’s inconsistencies and misunderstandings or people just not knowing things through no fault of their own.

This ends up breeding frustration and confusion and in the worst cases resentment, hurt, and aggression.

I’m severely tempted to make such a handbook and get it circulating.

I think it would do fandom a lot of good.

She works there as a barmaid and every year a couple of them take her to the outskirts on the kingdom to see the lanterns.

She isn’t found out to be the lost princess until

A) she goes into the kingdom to bail out one of regulars

Or B) after stealing the crown, Eugene, heads to the pub to keep low only to have a heart attack bc wtf is that the queen???
