So a Con from my weight loss Journey: weighing in and not seeing a change fucked with my head a lot and I’m glad I got passed it, I’m pretty head strong i guess but for a minute it really was fucking with me if I weighed in and didn’t see a change. I would get all upset and let it ruin my day and I would say okay I just won’t eat anything else today or Just won’t eat dinner. I didn’t like how i let it make me feel so I told my self it didn’t matter that much I wasn’t going to make my self feel like shit or starve myself because I didn’t see a number difference. But let me tell u this shit can really fuck ur head up and I can totally see how eating disorders start so u gotta be head strong. And also knowing I lost 101lbs but sometimes not seeing it at all and thinking I haven’t lost any is crazy and the psychology of that just doesn’t make sense like how can someone lose 101lbs and sometimes not be able to see it?? My #looseskin so far, after 100lb weight loss this year. I obviously still have a lot weight to lose and it’s just going to get worse but I feel way better so I guess it’s worth it? I don’t know how I’ll feel when I lose the other 70lbs I want to lose. 100lb difference in 1year. I actually have a neck. My skin looks way better, the dark spots from the insulin resistance is way better. I look way better and feel way better. I did it! I made my goal of losing 100lbs within one year and have 3 weeks to spare! I thought losing 100lbs in a year would feel like some great accomplishment but it doesn’t, just means I still have hella more to go. I mean yeah I’m proud as fuck that I did it but I’m not anywhere near done still have 66lbs to go. I can say i feel so much better, health wise and my confidence is a lot better still working on the self love tho. Weirdest thing about losing weight? My shoe size is one whole size smaller. I thought that was weird. And other little things that is diff after losing weight is: I get cold a lot easier, it doesn’t take as much beer to get a buzz lol I have more clothing choices which are way more cute, my skin looks better since I’m not eating junk food, milk chocolate is too sweet for me I prefer dark chocolate when I eat it. Also I don’t crave sweets which I think had something to do with the diabetes and my insulin being so fucked up? Idk I’m not out of breath at all when walking up stairs. My balance is kinda messed up gotta get use to all the weight thats gone. I’m sure there is more but can’t think of them right now. Middle of Dec last year I went to the DR to get a check up and got blood work done and went back in Jan and got diagnosed with Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and got back on Meds for my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which causes all kinds of issues including fucking with insulin levels, obesity and a lot of women with pcos cant lose weight. So I’m pretty damn lucky I’ve been able to lose so much weight so easily without having to have surgery or anything. Obviously I’ve changed my life style but all I had to do was eat healthier and be more active and the weight started falling off, it’s lessened but still coming off. When I was diagnosed with diabetes I thought I would have it forever and I was embarrassed that i was that stereotypical obese person with diabetes, because even tho it runs in my family and the PCOS helped with the insulin issues, I still pretty much gave myself diabetes by eating like garbage my whole life. I was terrified of the complications that come with diabetes just thinking about the what if’s was so scary. I’m proud of the weight loss but I’m way more proud of becoming non diabetic 6 months after being diagnosed and if I keep doing what I’m doing I will stay that way. I am grateful for the diabetes because it gave me a reality check and made me realized I really needed to change my life style so I wouldn’t have to deal with all the issues with diabetes. Im lucky i didn’t have any damage to my eyes or anything, who knows how long I was diabetic and had uncontrolled blood sugar because I hadn’t been to the dr in like 9 yrs. I’m fucking lucky and damn proud cuz I never thought I could actually do it. And my family has been awesome from day 1 with being supportive and asking what I can or can’t eat and then buying separate shit for me to eat when having get togethers.
