This is a hug for everyone who is afraid to look away from the election coverage.
This is a hug for everyone who cannot stand to look at them at all.
This is a hug for everyone who has a stomach ache, or a headache, or an anxiety attack.
We’re going to get through this.

Hello! I've been following you here, and more recently, Instagram. I wanted to let you know I appreciate how you talk about a chronic illness. I've been recently diagnosed with a gastrointestinal illness and seeing you be so honest and open has helped me strive to get back to normality and reach for what I want to do. I'm a little too anxious to message you directly but. Thank you. <3
This message seriously made my day. Sometimes I wonder if talking about my experience with chronic illness is TMI or perceived as a bummer, so it's really nice to hear it's helpful to someone. You're strong and brave, and if you ever feel like talking off anon I'm always happy to chat. 💛

My brother-in-law’s dog has been dragging home old bones from the prairies all week. This gorgeous female moose (his diagnosis, not mine) was so thoroughly picked clean where she fell that there’s no additional processing required. I’m so humbled by the part she’s played in the circle of life. Nature is so cruel and so beautiful.

“STROKES” Series 2 | 10.19.16
It is finally here! After two years of having shot my first “Strokes” series, I’ve decided to dive back into this series again but this time with a new look. As an artist, I’ve always enjoyed the process of experimenting and taking in inspiration as I go. Having said that, I’ve decided to take a turn with going a bit more natural and slightly more warmer with my color palette. Learning to appreciate what inspires you and how you, yourself inspire others through your own work is always a key to creating better work as you age. And right now I have to say that I’m pretty pleased how the beginning of this series turned out.
I wanted to take this time and say huge thanks to my lovely friend @thegypsykate for wanting to be a part of my vision and believing in my weird and abstract ideas for this series. There is a beauty in seeing more than just a portrait when you see one and one that just speaks for itself without having any particular meaning. Thanks to @peterjschweitzer for helping assisting, any help whether big or small, is always greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for still supporting my work even if my shooting process has been a little slower this year. The amount of appreciation, care and heart that goes out to my work, clearly shows in ones who reach out. So my biggest thanks goes to you all for the continued support and for believing in the strange and bizarre world of art.
