The Not-So-Small Problem

I am very useless

I cannot draw

I cannot code

I cannot write/edit music

Which are 3 important things to a successful AU

I am an ameture

I cannot do practically anything

I have no connections with people (I’m antisocial)

I can NOT have an AU

I just wanted to get my idea out there, hoping that some random artist, or even musician, would stumble across this place and like what they see. But that’s unlikely. Implausible. Impossible, even. 

I need help. I cannot do this alone.

Are you with me?

Storyline

Yep. I actually made a story

For a Swap AU

Nope, I don’t have a life...

Basically, Flowey found a way so that, after every reset (like, when you die. Not a big, major reset) the universe creates another one- just like a pre-existing one, but without their human, so you have a brand new world- until you die

Sounds great, right?

Wrong (For Flowey, at least)

Flowey forgot one major component- himself. When Flowey forces the first reset, he forgets everything fast and is sent to the void. But not before he can tell the human that it isn’t too late- If they can get through this (Beat the game) they can set everything right again.

But the human fails

The timeline has no more AUs to copy

So it resorts to creating it’s own. But, unlike other AUs, that have themes. Where monsters are swapped in groups, Like Sans and Papyrus, these timelines won’t. It’s whatever the universe can think of.

And that’s not good.

When the first, somewhat stable, AU is created and ready, Flowey and Gaster (don’t ask... Okay, maybe ask) stabilize you and you’re locked in- you have to complete this AU. I mean, if you went any further, it’d be even more random- and that’s never good.

And here we are. Cue title screen, roll the game!

So what do you guys think? I hope this doesn’t sound too awful. Like I’ve said before, completely open to suggestions here.

Well, with an AU all about swaps, why not make sure it’s clear right from the beginning?

Napstablook -> Sans “Why even bother? You’ll just reset it anyways...”

Sans -> Dummies (Depends on your route [Happy, Mad]) “I’M JUST SO FRIGGIN MAD! YOU KILLED EVERYBODY! NOW I’MMA KILL YOU IF IT’S THE LAST THING I DO AHAHAHAHAHAHA ... I’m outta blasters... KNIVES IT IS”

Grillby -> Flowey (Has no lines... But instead of a red bar, it’s green... If that matters...)

Canine Unit -> Mettaton (It’s just the Canine Unit, but they are part robot with Mettaton’s Metal Crusher leitmotif)

Undyne -> Papyrus “NYEHEHEHE! I WILL FREE ALL MONSTER KIND AND KILL YOU!”

Kid -> Alphys “Uhh Heh- Hey! You’ve got a stri-stripped shirt! You must be a kid, then! Uhhh... Heheh.. Right?”

Mad Dummy -> Chara “KILL! KILL! KILL! I’m... Outta Knives...”

Temmie -> Doggo “hOI! Deed... Hooman... MOVE? OOOOOOOH! PET pOt PAt”

Asriel -> Gaster (This hasn’t changed because CHaracter Swap AUs consider Asriel and Flowey the same swap)

Area Differences-

(Not particualry SWAPS, but... Eh)

Ruins are now flooded

Snowdin is now a Tropical Island

Waterfall is now a dry desert

CORE/Hotland is now a dense forest (Magical tree energy FTW!)

Judgement Hall/Castle are now a bit more cave-like...

So, what do you think? This is subject to change should a great idea rises, but it is pretty solid. I’ll be adding dialogue later. I even have the story planned, and It’ll be released after it’s been fine tuned just a bit more. See ya then!

Welcoming Message

Sooo... What’re you doing here? Well, however you got here, I welcome you!

I may have no idea how Tumblr works, but I’ll try my best. So... You may want to know what on earth this is, huh?

Well, it’s just another character swap Undertale AU. I’ve put a fair bit of thought into it... For example, the run you take changes the title screen. You can figure out the order, right?

Okay, now I’m scared I’ll look more amateurish for not saying this- it is Pacifist, Neutral, and No Mercy respectively.

I’ll be describing character and area swaps (oohohohooo! That’s... kinda different, right?) in an upcoming post

So, this is a question that isn’t rhetorical...
