utss here again! ooh, thank you for the reference! :D i appreciate it! and no worries about the sketchiness, i do that all the time too lol. last question, i promise. how are the feathers on crane's hood attached? is there a clasp or button or pin there, or does it just come out of the fabric through a hole or something? (probably should have asked this sooner, but um.. i forgot the feathers were there until now.. >< i've been making lots of progress of course! just.. did a little oopsie. oTL forgive me.) thank you for taking the time out to answer these btw! the communication helps a lot! honestly, i haven't gotten anything on my end; i'm glad at least someone's talking to me lol.

I love all of the attention to detail you're putting into this and it just makes me more and more excited for the submission day to roll around!! :D

The feathers on the hood are attached kind of like strings with knots tied on the inside of the fabric, so it just looks like they're poking out! There's just so many of them that it naturally poofs out like that.

I hope you're having fun working on it! I'm sure your secret santa assignment has been hard at work making something for you as well! I've been working hard on mine, and I'm super excited to show it to my assignment when the day rolls around

ooohh~ that's really cool! kind of like the show the masked singer then? ^^ i can totally imagine them with those sorts of voices! it suits them i think. :D another question (for clarification this time, now that i got to start working on the art ^^) is crane'c cloak two separate layers? i see the feather pattern in the grey part, but it doesn't continue down into the yellow part. the grey also cuts off there too. sorry if this is a dumb question, i just wanna be sure >< ohoh i'm sorry btw, i think tumblr ate the notif of you answering my other ask. i didn't even see it until now when i went to ask this. :'(

Crane's cloak is in two separate layers! I apologize for his design being so sketchy and making it confusing ^^'

As for the yellow and brown gradient, it stays that brownish red color on the backside! There is also a "tail" section of the cloak on the back that extends from the grey part and shares that grey color

hihi! i’m your secret santa for the utss event! :D i had a question about crane and cricket: the th profiles say cricket doesn’t reveal his identity to crane, but wouldn’t crane know it was sans by the voice? :0 do they have voice changers or do they just not talk or something? i’m curious! love your art and au btw! ^^

Oh! Yes, I guess I forgot to mention, they have voice changers with their masks! Cricket's makes his voice more airy and high pitched, while Crane's makes his voice lower and gravely!

Crane rarely talks, and when he does his words are very thought out.

Meanwhile Cricket talks a bit more than him, but he prioritizes hospitality and kindness over all else. (Except when he's mad, in which he drops the more formal tone and talks quickly and quietly)
