Valerie had been forced to visit her friend at work, even though she didn’t want to get in trouble for unexpectedly barging in. Exhaling deeply through her nose, the woman walked into the building of the one and only Stratton Oakmont once taking a forty-five minute subway ride to Wall Street. Getting directions from the stockbroker company’s front desk receptionist, Valerie cautiously walked into the office building. Unable to search out her friend, she decided to ask someone for help. Gently knocking on an office’s glass door; the woman opened it, Donnie completely mesmerized when seeing her. “I’m sorry if I’m interrupting anything important, but I was supposed to pick up my friend. I got told she left before I came here by the receptionist out front but I was kind of hoping one of you could confirm it for me.”
