I’m doing academic readings about the origin of music and language and a theory by Mithen (prof uploaded just the chapter with no title page or authors name, so sorry for the lack of info), and he’s citing Peter Auer and others and saying that based on rhythm of languages, people can predict when to take turns and idk why but this is just making me think so much.

Cause neurodivergent people (like me) struggle so much with that, but they make the point that different languages have different rhythms and such. And it’s just how does this lack of understanding tie into neurodivergence then? Like is it because of using different rhythms with how we speak? Like I’m interested by this

recently learned my coworker and one of my friends dont know what botulism is, and now im wondering if theyre outliers or if this is my Weird Kid showing through so

do you know what botulism is (Knowing What Botulism Is in this case is described as knowing the concept, how to identify and avoid it in a household context, not necessarily all the scientific parts of what it is and what it can do) and where did you learn about it?
