Prompt: bird doing silly things
I see him outside that pane of glass Hopping and dancing around Rolling in the soft green grass I see him outside that pane of glass Cackling as if he heard something crass As beetles and seeds abound I see him outside that pane of glass Hopping and dancing around

Prompt: Defence of Platonic Love
Tell me, what is a friend If not someone you stand by? A loyalty without an end, Tell me, what is a friend If not someone who you will defend, Someone you comfort when they cry? Tell me, what is a friend If not someone you stand by?

Prompt: Home being w/ found family
You've given me your heart And I'm trusting you with mine Slowly together we can start (You've given me your heart) To build a place not far apart A place that's safe, by our design You've given me your heart And I'm trusting you with mine

Prompt: Home
There's a brick and a door and a large cozy bed But most importantly, there's that softness The refuge from pressure that shoulder's ahead There's a brick and a door and a large cozy bed And memories of gentleness filling my head Erasing the pain of perceived falling-shortness There's a brick and a door and a large cozy bed But most importantly, there's that softness

Prompt: Safety
I know hands that will hold me secure And weather the passage of time Through troubles for which there isn't a cure I know hands that will hold me secure Despite simplicity's shining allure For these hands love without reason or rhyme I know hands that will hold me secure And weather the passage of time

Prompt: Hope
After all, it's an ephemeral thing, This thing I cling to desperately Melodies and delicate string, After all, it's an ephemeral thing, Evasive when all my senses sting My friend, we can't weather these times separately. After all, it's an ephemeral thing, This thing I cling to desperately.

Tell me, voice disjointed- Tell me what you meant to say. Tell me, not with finger pointed, Tell me, voice disjointed- Tell me, once you’re reappointed, Tell me your voice has come to stay Tell me, voice disjointed- Tell me what you meant to say.

Prompt: you are madly in love with someone on the other side of the world and you know you can never be together, so you force yourself to move on
Highly specific prompt for an eight line poem but I'll do my best xD
I fear I have to let you go Despite the aching of my heart. In hope I let my loving grow, I fear I have to let you go Because this distance makes it so; Though minds are close, my mind must part. I fear I have to let you go Despite the aching of my heart.

Maybe I say it in a different voice Because if I comply, you refuse to hear. This incongruence is an intentional choice; Maybe I say it in a different voice, In one of sorrow where you would rejoice, Because your sense of triumph brings me only fear. Maybe I say it in a different voice Because if I comply, you refuse to hear.

Apocalypse
I would hold you in my arms at the end of the world And cradle you gently as the new world crept in Be it by a rain of fire or by earth’s scroll unfurled I would hold you in my arms at the end of the world Whispering memories to shield us from injuries hurled From outside our walls or from somewhere within I would hold you in my arms at the end of the world And cradle you gently as the new world crept in

Not a triolet so I made it small
Kinda a vent poem thing
Does it feel good? The pull of the blade, The drops of blood that leak Like tears in red. But you aren’t crying Or even sad, So why do you do this?
Does it even hurt? The years of that pressure, The nights crying behind a curtain Clinging to a fantasy. But it was never abuse Or even close, So why did you do that?
Does it make sense? The spaces in the middle, The parts that no one talks about Even where they should. But they sort of do Talk about parts, So why do you say that?
Because you don’t have to hurt To hurt yourself Because it doesn’t have to be abuse To leave you scarred Because if it isn’t the popular narrative It doesn’t get attention
I can tell you what it’s like In the twilight between Where your pain isn’t quite there And it isn’t quite dark. I can tell you what it’s like In the grey areas of the human mind.

Spinning
Spinning, clock spinning Don't forget where you are. Watchers are grinning, Spinning, clock spinning, The end is beginning As scabbing wounds scar. Spinning, clock spinning, Don't forget where you are.

Plea
Throw me a silver strand of hope And keep the blade's sharp edge away Send me a prayer, a knot in the rope Throw me a silver strand of hope Pull me back up from the slippery slope And stop all the colours from fading to grey Throw me a silver strand of hope And keep the blade's sharp edge away

Asphyxiate
A hand in the air, Holding your breath. Meeting your stare, A hand in the air, Your heart in a snare As you face death - A hand in the air Holding your breath.
