doodled a family tree for the most ridiculous royal family for the poor enclave that they live in bc i wanted to have a visual representation for it. ainsel not included.

First Generation: Old King: The previous king and Manavas and Danas's father. Originally married to an unnamed elven woman, he eventually exiled her and married a triton woman, making her his second queen. First Queen: An elven woman who supported the divide between the elves and the tritons. For her part in provoking the triton riots and her extreme views, she was exiled by her husband, alongside her son Manavas, likely giving birth to him in exile. She taught him to uphold her beliefs. Second Queen: A triton woman, she married the Old King to put a symbolic end to the tension between tritons and the elves of the enclave.

Second Generation: -Manavas Calear: Likely born in exile, he was raised by his mother to share her views. He would eventually marry an currently unknown aasimar woman, who he is deeply in love with. He is behind or at least part of many of the aberrations' plans for reasons unknown. Currently known of his activities involved tricking and imprisoning multiple outer planar beings for access to their tuning forks, as well as discovering a way to do such intensive teleportation magic despite the world being cut off from other dimensions after the Drowning. He was also somehow involved in the ritual on Onda that went wrong, resulting in most people involved's memories being altered afterwards, the reasons for either event currently unknown. Gwynn broke into his room, finding a secret compartment that held a journal detailing such research. The journal had two familiars atop it that were keeping it sealed which were destroyed soon after their discovery. His location is currently unknown, with the only clue of him leaving behind a letter to Alda that he was going where 'they agreed upon'. -Mysterious Aasimar Woman: The mother to the Calear children and wife to Manavas, no one knows anything about her. The last time she was seen was when she arrived to the enclave's capital with a newly born Gwynnever, and has not been seen since. Her being an aasimar is unknown as well, as the race and their connection to the aberrations is unknown to the public at large, leading many to believe she is simply an elven woman. The same applies to those among her children who inherited her abilities.

-King Danas: The current king of the enclave preparing to pass on the crown to his eldest child. With the abduction of his daughter, he is currently keeping most information under wraps even at the detriment of his people's safety out of fear of endangering his daughter. -Queen Feno: A sea elven woman who's marriage to the king made people worried if the sympathies for the triton people would start to decline. Not much is known about her to me other than that.

The Royal Children: -Princess Marnalyn: The eldest of King Danas's children and his apparent heir. The ball held to celebrate the three month preparation to transition her to being crowned was attacked by a group called the Dark Tide who demanded she be handed over or else they would cause further harm. She gave herself up when the twenty four hour deadline was coming to a close and hasn't been seen since. -Prince Navarre: The second child of the king, he's been the one to take over heir duties while his sister is missing and the king's council is pushing for him to be named as the official heir with the more time has passed. -Prince Sarya: The youngest child of the king, he's trained as a eldritch knight and desires to have more trust put into him than currently is. Gwynn went to him for help with deciphering Manavas's journals after she stole them, and relied on him to go into the city's archives for information both on the teleportation magic and on Gwynn's newfound patron.

The Calear Children: -Morwen: The eldest of the Calear children, she left the enclave ten years prior to live in the garden after unknowingly having her memories altered. There she entered into a relationship with a woman who was part of the Dark Tide and would help the woman in her duties until one mission went awry, and Morwen was left for dead. She was revived by the god of beauty Elaith to do one final mission and collect his scattered magical cores to strengthen the protection of the enclave in the upcoming aberration invasion. She is currently a high up the enclave magical circles, acting as a fourth ring.

-Onda: One of the twins and a middle child, Onda was once a prodigy in sorcery until this brought the attention of the aberrations. After a ritual went wrong, her memories were altered by her twin, Alda, along with most others who were present. Her altered memories left her believing she was actually unskilled in magic and for the next ten years suffered under their father's pressure and emotional abuse. In desperation to be stronger, she made a deal with a water elemental she found trapped in one of their father's secret compartments. However she accidentally connected to the aberration hive mind again, gaining their attention, leading to her undergo training to better fortify her mind from them with Gnostic. Gnostic is a gang boss, owner of a nightclub called the Pearl, and consequentially her former friend and one of the few people who remembered what happened during the ritual that had been forced into silence and she is now partially aware of what she once was. She and Alda inherited their mother's aasimar abilities.

-Alda: The other twin and middle child of the Calears, Alda is also a prodigy of sorcery and unlike his family and many others who were involved, he remembers the ill fated ritual and manipulated a part of it after the fact to alter other people's memories, leaving perhaps only Gnostic himself as the only other person who remembered the truth. Over the past nine years to present time he acted as a double agent, spying on his father and his dealings for the council and his uncle the king while keeping the rest of his family in the dark. After the attack on the ball, he left the capital to act as a form of decoy and/or sacrifice to the aberrations' plans to divert their attention away from his twin sister. He, alongside Onda, were the only ones of the siblings to knowingly inherit their mother's aasimar abilities.

-Gwynn: Gwynnever never possessed magical potential, leading to her often being left alone and forgotten in favor of giving her more gifted siblings training for their powers. Because of this she would sneak away from home unnoticed, going to the underbelly of the city, the Shadowcast. There she would befriend an aberration who was hiding there named Ainsel. However during one of these visits she was killed by a member of the Dark Tide for reasons unknown. In her final moments asked Ainsel to take her place so her family wouldn't know what happened to her. Gnostic, though the specifics aren't known, found out about Ainsel's existence and was there the day of Gwynnever's death, helping them to give the girl a burial and hiding their identity over the seven years even as they continued the original Gwynnever's tradition of going to the Shadowcast. The only one of the family who seemed to have noticed the switch is Alda, through means unknown as of now.
