2/3s of the way through season 7 of Shameless (just finished episode 9) and I think this is my favorite season so far! I love each of the characters struggles and storylines. Fiona, for the first time ever lol, not focusing on a guy but herself and her businesses— Kev, Vee, and Svetlana slowly getting more and more out of control within their dynamics— Lip struggling to get better post rehab and trying to navigate his life— Ian with work and Trevor— Debbie actually has turned around for me, I love seeing her desperately trying to carve out this new life for herself and she has had some of the funniest moments to me this season. Carl making the change to go to military school— and FRANK! With the homeless shelter, then genuinely helping out lil Liam, and now with the laundry mat?? Awesome. I hear some people say that in these later seasons Frank feels like a caricature of himself but I disagree. It’s interesting seeing him trying to navigate with his scams after we watch him burn bridges after bridge, and it all feels in character to me. Honestly post his new liver and getting thrown off the bridge he seems to have a little more heart in some cases. I love the writing and all of these actor’s hard work. Love this show and can’t wait for the last few episodes. Lmao really hoping I didn’t spew this all prematurely and everything nose dives

God the first episode of Shameless season 7 is awesome. I’m so excited for this season. Ian and Lip catch Ian’s cheating bf, Debbie is just stealing things but good for her— Frank is truly just on his own lol— I love Kev, Vee, and Svetlana so much actually— AND CARL?! He had a whole D plot of getting circumcised lmao. I love this show so much.

Just finished the 6th season of Shameless. Overall really good. I loved Ian’s character developments and seeing him grow without Mickey or a lot of the Gallagher shenanigans— it felt like he was starting to really grapple with what he’s went through the first 5 seasons and it was nice to watch, and his actor did a great job. Debbie’s character was rough to watch but I think was pretty realistic for how a kid her age would deal and react with her choices. She’s still 15, and in that awkward stage of life and has grown up in a horrible home environment— as a viewer I’m frustrated at times, but I like the writing. And I think her actress did a great job. I loved Carl’s development all throughout the season, he’s becoming one of my favorite characters of this show. Kinda confused but really interested in the Kev, Vee, and Svetlana storyline— I don’t really hate it lol. I feel like there were some parts of Lip’s storyline that could’ve been made a little clearer if at the end his struggle was with alcohol— or if his issue was using alcohol to cope with Helene— maybe what he went through will be clearer for me at the start of season 7. Fiona’s storyline was tragic for me. For all the shit I give her for these bad love life choices— especially last seasons’— I felt like she’s grown a lot and it sucked to see Sean betray her trust like that. Especially after how he gained Fiona’s and ours over the course of the season. Frank had some funny bits, especially with Queenie, and I like this almost dark shit he’s gotten post his new Liver and Bianca. I wasn’t sure what the writers were gonna do with him this season but I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Overall I liked this finale much more than season 5’s. Although it didn’t feel like a good wrap up per se, it felt like a good chapter end of season 6, and makes me really excited for season 7. Especially because now I’m used to the couple months jump between seasons I’m excited to see what everyone’s been up to between season 6 episode 12 and season 7 episode 1! I really love this show!

Just finished the 5th season of Shameless. Jesus. Overall I did really like it, sad to see Sheila go, but I’m not sure what else she would’ve done. Everything with Ian was tough to watch, and I hate that in the end he and Mickey broke things off. I feel like Ian is the one Gallagher, other than Liam lol, that I feel like I know the least. Even with so much of this season focusing on him I feel like I still don’t know him that much. Maybe that’s intentional though. Lip’s storylines were really fun to watch, interested to see how things pan out for him. Getting a little sick of Fiona’s love drama at this point I won’t lie lol, but I think she’s getting on the right track. She definitely does need to focus on herself though. Debbie’s storyline was cute, but yeah she does suffer from wanting to grow up too fast— but I can’t even blame her, this whole season especially at the end was just her and Liam in the house. With sometimes Fiona, Sami, Ian, and Lip. Carl is awesome. Frank’s storyline with Bianca was actually one of my favorites to watch. Got to see a new side of Frank and the whole thing was kinda wholesome. Kev and Vi were cute too, their B plots are always funny to me, although this one felt a little drawn out. Overall this season felt the least fulfilling for me— everything feels like a set up for the next season if that makes sense. Even the final episode felt more like just the end of another episode rather than the end of the season. Overall I enjoyed this season a lot, and I can’t wait for season 6!

Just started watching Shameless after being recommended it for a while this summer! I really wanna yap my thoughts about it so I downloaded Tumblr! Really late to both things lol, but I thought why not
