No I'm not moving it/any of them here. I've been posting fic on LJ for over 16 years. You can just go over there and find them all organized by the dorks they center around. I'm so organized over there you can find specific fandoms in the sidebar of links if MHA isn't your thing.

And no I haven't stopped working on my Rachel Roth x Bucky Barnes fic. MHA just ate my writing focus until yesterday. I'll be posting that over there as well.

When your step mom wants family brownie points but wants you do earn them for her.

Once again a commitment other people in my family have made have now become my problem. Someone had made commitments for a 4th of July block party. Now because one of them is sick it has now fallen to me to fill in.

"We've had a really hard day being supportive at the hospital doing absolutely nothing. And with *family members name* has been in the hospital all day today with *medical issue*. Thier partner needs some help setting all this up this week. I have to man the phone for thier business. Could you help out? You're not really doing anything this week. I believe that you'll do the right thing and help them out."

NO. I'm not doing it. I'm not going to be guilted into it. Don't voluntell me what to do. You want to win family brownie points, you go help them. I'm not going to earn them by proxy for you. I don't make commitments that I can't fulfill.

Thier partner has my phone number, if they want my help they can call and ask for my help. Here's a thought, maybe thier neighbors might want to help since they're the ones going to benefit from the block party.

I don't live with either of these people and they haven't done shit to help me at all. They know I'm looking for a job and have been for a while now. They haven't bothered to offer me a job at the "family business".

I'm going to continue to keep looking for a job, that thing that I've been doing since October 2024. And I hope I find one soon. Just because you don't think I'm "doing anything" doesn't mean that I'm not busting my ass to find a job.

And the minuet I do and have enough money stashed back I'm the fuck out of here. I'm paying back very single cent I owe and I'm the fuck out. I'm grateful for what they have done by letting me stay for the last three years.

But I stg, living with people for the last three years has been a stress on me. I've lived quite happily by myself for over a decade and I'm longing for the days where I could do whatever the fuck I wanted to do. Not worrying about someone else and what they want me to do or "need" me to do.

I'm also getting tired of my stuff coming up missing because someone's gone off on a cleaning/purging kick. Every time I buy myself something special to eat in the house it mysteriously comes up missing. I bought myself a small pint of ice cream in a limited edition flavor (Maple chocolate chip pancake). I'm sitting eating dinner when my stepmother beings ranting and raving about how good it was. "It was the best thing I've ever eaten."

Never mind that when we were shopping she rolled her eyes and said that it "sounded disgusting" and insisted on getting her flavor. Now her pint is sitting in the freezer untouched and mine has been defiled as she eats straight out the container.

I'm tired.

I'm tired of applying for job after job after job to get one of the following:

We got your application auto reply (And that's the only reposnse you get)

We like your resume. Interview with us! Once, twice and three times. Nope! You're not what we're looking for thanks anyway.

No reply (Employment ghosting is a thing)

Seeing the same job posting for the fourth or fifth month in a row and no one being hired.

Nope! You've already applied for this job once and that's all we allow! (Despite having the same listing up for over 3 months)

Requiring a Bachelor's or Masters for a entry level job that pays minimum wage. (Ain't no body with that amount of student debt can afford that job).

Resume collection for a job that doesn't exist.

I have had a great opportunity. Had first interview. Went great. Had to wait 2 fucking months for the second interview. Got to the second interview. Completed the interview. Felt great about said interview. Woke up this morning to the rejection letter of:

Hey you sad desperately hopeful fuck!

Thank you for your interest and your time and jumping though multiple arbitrary hoops that we set up. We gave you false hope by putting you through multiple interviews. We thought you might be a good candidate. But you were not what we were looking for so we moving forward other people who are. Good luck and please keep checking back in with us for other opportunities that you think you're qualified for that we can reject you for completely for in the future by gauging you on a every changing set of guidelines that you'll never meet.

I might be paraphrasing here but that's what it feels like. So I'm back into the ever rotating Apply. Wait. Hear nothing. cycle of looking for a job while being autistic.

Um, what Ancient Oracle of Delphi did I tap into?

Okay I might have done a semi-serious semi-funny thing with my Ides of March Post. I didn't fucking think that I was on to something. What fucking Oracle of Delphi shit was I on?

The time the bombing of Yemen took place was on the fucking Ides of March. In case you might have missed the absolute clusterfuck that is SignalGate (Part 1 & Part 2 ) . TLDR: The people in charge of OPSEC are a bunch of fucking idiots just added the Editor in Chief of The Atlantic to discuss bombing Yemen on a fucking chat thread. Claimed that they were clear on OPSEC and violated it by discussing attack plans on Signal instead of the appropriate SCIF [pronounced skiff] (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) that the government has provided for things like this.

I do not see the Fanta Fascist and his gaggle of adoring fascits successfully using the deny, deny, deny strategy. I also don't see playing semantics working on getting out of violating national security. By saying it wasn't classified and then declassifying it doesn't mean that it wasn't classified and a matter of OPSEC (operation security).

These assholes shouldn't even be in charge of a neighborhood lemonade stand let alone be in charge of the most sensitive information that the government deals with. None of these abject idiots bothered to check on who was in the thread. These assclowns are fucking texting about like the latest office gossip.

The fact that these chats aren't happening on the record tracks with Project 2025's agenda. But if they're doing this with OPSEC and mater of national security, what other policies and issues are they having "threads" on? The illegal deportation of Venezuelans to El Salvador? The possibility of Canada becoming the 51st state?

There's a way that things have do be done in the government so that its on the record. This is not that way. I've seen several former high level government officials that are baffled that; A) How the fuck could this happen? B) There's a reason that they standards and practices in place, C) WTF are else are they doing and or talking about doing while using this app? D) Who else could have gotten access to this info?

Two weeks ago the US government stated that the Signal App wasn't secure enough for things like this. Russia might have access to the data. Two of the people on this thread were out of the country while this was taking place. One was in Moscow, one was India.

I'm guaranteeing that this will not slide like they'd like it to. It doesn't matter how much you try and distract with other shit. They're hoping that this will go away. They're throwing out a thousand excuses and none of them are going to work. I don't mean to be a petty bitch, but the way there was screaming "But her emails!" every five seconds. I hope that the Dems hold this over them like the GOP held onto Hillary's email server bullshit.

Starting my day with Hater Flakes and steaming cup of Gatekeeping, how about you?

So I left a comment on a YT video, it was about the reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. A show when it was on and after a decade I was a huge fan. I'm still a fan just not as huge as I used to be, thanks Joss for being a batshit crazy MF.

The creator of the video asked us what we thought about the fact that Joss Whedon may not be involved. The comments from others were mixed going from "There can't be Buffy without Joss!" to some like mine "Wow that sounds exciting and good for everyone involved. But as far as I care, Joss won't be missed."

So I left a comment:

"James is so smart to keep his mouth shut. I'm going to miss Michelle Trachtenberg. As for Joss, I wouldn't be sorry if he wasn't included, especially his behavior to the crew and the cast especially after what he did to Charisma Carpenter. I was completely done with him. I feel the same way about Joss as I do [about] Neil Gaiman."

To break this down for fandoms that may not be familiar with the drama around Whedon bare with me for a few. Joss Whedon has "been accused of being verbally abusive to co-workers, dating back to his days on “Buffy.” Numerous people described him as a bully, and his behavior on set as overbearing. Two co-workers said he called them fat while they were pregnant." (From Washington Post Article here.) And that's not the worst thing that I heard about.

For fandoms that have problematic creators (Harry Potter: Rowling's Transvesgation & Transphobia, GoodOmens & Sandman: Gaiman's sexual behavior with "fans", Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Avengers & Justice League: Whedon mistreatment of cast and crew, etc.) ya'll already know.

It makes it hard to be a fan of the work. I think Council of Geeks has said it best with A Few Words on Joss Whedon.

Do I support any of those behaviors:

Behaviors by the creator does taint the enjoyment that I have for something. So when I expressed my opinion about how I felt I figured that if someone disagreed like I had previously experienced they'd kind of just not reply or just go "oh well." That is not what I got. I got a big bowl of Hater Flakes and a big steaming cup of Gatekeeping to go with it.

I did hide their username on YT and no it wasn't the video creator. BTW this was the highlighted comment by YT. My dude, you sound like someone else I know...give me a second and I'll be able to- yep, DJT. I knew that bad behavior seemed familiar. To quote Admin Tim @ Sons of Liberty, "Get fucked and die mad about it".

You want to support bad behavior of a man who has consistently shown he's a horrible human being, go right ahead. It does show what kind of person you are that you okay with supporting abusive behaviors.

I have a hard time supporting behavior that time after time is constant in showing that one party is a complete and total asshole. If you consistently have problems everywhere you go with people, then maybe the problem isn't other people its you, mother fucker.

Wow, great way to start the day isn't it? Get personally offended that a complete stranger disagrees with you on the internet and then gatekeep by proceeding to tell them how to enjoy something based off how much of a "fan" you think they are.

When you have a headache and a shitty night of sleep and then your ordered to do something that you didn't plan on doing.

I know life happens. But when your family member's lack of planning thus constitutes an "emergency" on your part. And then your family member makes it my emergency is when I have issues.

I'm being used as transportation and the family member's memory back up, just in case. I had to drive them over to another family member's house so they can re-learn a thing they should already know.

Not to mention I'm already 24/7 living tech support for my family member's computer problems.

Computer problems have consisted of your family member's disassembling thier monitor because it wasn't coming on including the cables at the ass crack of dawn. I literally had just gotten out of bed. They then demand I fix it before breakfast.

And then you wonder why I'm in a shitty mood?

Reaction to the meeting between Zelenskyy & Open letter to Zelenskyy & Ukrainian People

After the shit show that President Zelenskyy had to go through with Trump & Vance in the Oval Office. I'm so angry on behalf of Zelenskyy & the Ukrainian people.

It was so horrible, painful and disgraceful to watch. That wasn't a talk, that was a set up and a lecture. Arrogance and ignorance on full fucking display in front of the media. The gall, the audacity of those two fucking idiots who've never seen a day of conflict in their life.

If you wanted more proof that they're only here to serve their interests and prove their worth to Putin, there you fucking go. Further proof that Trump & Vance are just giving full service to Putin.

Trump couldn't stand the fact that Zelenskyy wasn't going to give him what Putin/Musk wanted. So like a petty child he then kicked President Zelenskyy on the White House grounds.

American Assistance for Adults with Autism is FUCKING terrible.

So I knew that there was a statistic that up to 85% of autistic people with a college degree are unemployed or underemployed in the United States.

After reaching out to a total of 3 Autism organizations for some sort of help or assistance this is what I received:

[1] State Autism organization:

Reached out via phone for 2 weeks straight to get no response after leaving a voice mail daily.

Emailed the head of the organization only to be sent a link for a webpage for on the offices in my area and their contact information.

Emailed the office in my area and explained my situation. Was told that I would have to fill out a form and return it via Fax/email.

Informed upon return of form that someone would reach out and be in contact shortly.

No further contact has been made on their part despite me reaching out 3 times.

[2] Autism Organization devoted to Job Searching:

Reached out for help three months ago. No response.

Two weeks ago I was informed that there was someone who wanted to help. Agreed to a meeting scheduled today to speak with the person.

Meeting today: Person began rattling off a list of common sense tings for job hunting and resume "review". Also gave common sense things to not do in an interview.

Asked me to send my existing resume which was included when I reached out originally so that this "helpful" person could review my resume and "make notes" on it so I could make changes to a profession the person has no idea on how it operates.

Helpful person recommended that I do more "network" with former co-workers that were still in the field so they could get my resume to the "right people" in way to get around HR.

Was told to take any job that I was offered. "Its always easier to find a job if you have a job".

Encouraged me to go to more "Networking" events and fan egos so that I could get my foot in the door. After informing the help individual that I was broke and that I could not afford it. Was till told to "try {networking] it and see how it goes, you never know. Pass out some resumes, you never know who might see it and want to hire you."

Was talked down to and made to feel like I should be luck that I was being offered a job. Explained that most entry level jobs that I have seen being offered are required to have at least a Bachelors/ Master's degree and only pay minimum wage.

My frustrations were dismissed as that's "what everyone has to deal with when looking for a job now days".

All information and "advice" given was common sense and felt like a waste of my time. These are things that I could have gotten out of a Google Search. Most of these were things that I have given tries in the past and received nothing from.

[3] Meeting Call

Scheduled in December 2024 for information regarding benefits. Meeting was scheduled at the earliest time I could chose.

Two reminder e-mails were sent.

Benefits for Adults with Autism were to be discussed.

Waited 30 minuets on a call that was not received. No notification was given on why.

Emailed the receptionist for the individual to find out that the individual in question has been out sick the entire week. The sick person would reach back out when in the office to reschedule the call.

Was given a link to a generic video for benefits that should be available in all 50 states.

Also given a link to register for a video conference that would be taking place in a month.

So far after reaching out for help to 3 organizations for someone who is an Adult with Autism I have received information that is widely available in any Google search.

I hope that I have helped any Late diagnosed Adults in determining that if your looking for help in the US with Level 1 ASD, you will get nothing that a Google Search and some common sense could have gotten you.

Beware the Ides of March

The Ides of March are coming.

For those of you who might have forgotten or have no clue what that is other than a line from "Julius Caesar" a play by Shakespeare. The important part is the death of Julius Caesar which occurred on the Ides of March in 44 BC. I screenshot that part for those who can't be bothered [Source: Wikipedia].

Clearly NO ONE in MAGA paid attention in any history classes. From the revival of 1930/40s nazi/fascism as "patriotism" including their "Roman Salutes"/Nazi Salutes from "the heart". MAGA wants to picture Trump as Julius Caesar.

Let me point out that Julius Ceasar is the guy with the red-purple & gold decorated sinus (drapery thing).

Julius Caesar was stabbed over 60 times by the Roman Senate in 44 BC because he was consolidating power to be come king. Let me show you what happened to Julius Caesar after the Roman Senators were done with him.

I'm about fucking done

After trying to recover from losing everything I own in a flood 3 years ago including my job at the time, while simultaneously trying to find a job while dealing with diagnosed Autism.

My family (whom I've been living with for the last three years) is about to pick up stakes leave me jobless and homeless and move to Portugal because of the political situation. Mind you none of them speak Portuguese and do not know a single person in Portugal. .

My father just yelled at me to find a job quicker. As if I have any control over the hiring process at any of the places that I've put in an application at. The only thing that I do have control over is putting in an application and hoping and praying that they reach out for an interview. As if I can call/email them to find out if I'm still in consideration for the job.

In my defense I have been putting in for at minimum 7 jobs per day before I physically get out of bed every morning. I have whittled down my bills/expenses down to the absolute bare bones.

Its frustrating to be looking for a job for three years and all you get is:

The automated "We've received your application/resume." is all you get anymore. Its then followed by silence. And that's the standard that you get when you apply for jobs here in the US.

Very rarely you get the email "Thank you for your interest in <insert company name> in <position title>. Unfortunately you don't meet our (over exacting) qualifications for this position." Often on positions that just about anyone could do (ie. cable service instillation tech, receptionist, big box office store in-store print service person).

When I have gotten contact for jobs its often jobs that are the "You have to pay us a fee to work here!" So that they can pay you even less (Which is sus af). And there is the at minimum wage or just above the minimum wage (which is dependent on where you live in the US but is set at $7.25USD per hour).

The minimum wage has been $7.25 USD per hour since July 24, 2009. Hey, I like to give thanks to the GOP for not doing a damned thing to raise it. Because "Poors are so lazy! Ugh. How dare you want a living wage! Pull yourself up by your bootstraps."

My stepmother is trying to help but her help keeps coming in the form of emails the side hustles that sound way too good to be true. You know the ones that reach out to you with a "great financial opportunity!" and you know somehow its a scam or hella illegal.

I've reached out to several Autism organizations for help with work rehab programs and or any sort of assistance. I've gotten back either complete silence or put on a two year waiting list before anyone will talk to me to even start to help me. I was shocked that some of the Autism assistance organizations want you to pay money to join before they'll let you ask for help. That doesn't sound like a legit organization to me.

The state autism organization was awful. I called for two weeks straight, leaving emails and voice mails with no attempt to reach out. I had to reach out to the head of the state organization via email before they gave a link to a list of the offices in my area of the state. I managed to email my local office and I was asked to fill out a form and return it. I did and got absolutely no response. No idea if I've gone on a wait list, not going to get any assistance at all. NOTHING. Yep, you read that right.

The hopeful news which I'm scared to share with you because that might jinx it. I may find out that I have a job on Wednesday (2/26/25). Key word there is may. I completed a second interview this morning and it seemed very positive and I was told that I would hear by Wednesday.
