oooh this ones an interesting one... mh..

this made me realize, i dont have an actual headcanon for this specifically BUT i will say soul is probably scared of the idea of the other two thinking hes like. idk inferior ig? cuz you know, hes just a vessel and yada yada

so maybe all the threats and violence on his part also comes from that a lil bit? also a headcanon i have is that soul is the weakest physically, and the trident makes up for the missing strength.

hes probably also paranoid, always being scared of the others trying to kill each other, cuz even if the loop simply restarts if someone dies, hes scared that they wont come back for some reason, cuz you know!! hes nothing with the other two and he knows that.

hes very insicure about his identity and doesnt like being split/be around the other two cuz it reminds him how weak he is by simply being himself. you could say thats why he wears the mask lol he likes to hide away

uuuh also the ocean probably cuz its dark and you cant really see whats down there. mh yes the unknown. hes scared of that a lil bit i think.

I really feel tremendous grief for friendships that kind of petered away in the face of life's currents. There are people with whom I formed deep, unique, vibrant, life-changing connections, and then we had to go our separate ways and it was too hard to maintain long-distance. There wasn't a fight, it just sort of faded. And I feel like I have more friendships like this than friendships that have endured, so maybe I just have to get used to it. But if grief is all the love we have left over - well, I never did get to finish loving them. I love them, and I miss them, and I probably always will.
