From successfully creating the sphere I moved on the create the lower level of the cushion. (P.S this was a prototype on it own but I ended up using for a final prototype.)
Using this cushion provided support and comfort.

These are all the resources I have at home with me as I’m in isolation. But I’ll make it work! I’m trying to to create a cushion that will provide comfort for sitting. Form these resources the polystyrene was not comfortable for support. It did however create a better sitting position.
As for the stuffing, it felt like a cloud personally this was my preferred inner. As it supported and sculpted the shape of my small of back.
The fabric I chose was the soft and stretchy.

Prototype
This was the first prototype that I created. I was figuring out how my cushion would support the small of back. From creating this prototype I decided that it would be more supportive for small of back if the cushion was on a backward leaning angle.

Some inspiration for my cushion design was a back massager. There are some balls that comfort and release pain but the alignment of the small of back structure. This was a very influential product for my cushion design!

This Image is from the Brick Bay and the Auckland Branch of New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects – Tuia Pito Ora sponsored competition. I had search Nōhanga which translates to Dwelling place in Te Red Maori.
