A Far Cry From Kensington by Muriel Spark - my first read for the readathon I am participating in this weekend starting on Friday evening. It is my first readathon and because my plans with friends cant happen this weekend because of Corona  I will have a lot of time to read! I do not know too much about the content of this book besides the fact that the main character works for a publishing house and that the book takes place in London in the 1950s. Two aspect that sound quite promising to me :)

I finished Little Fires Everywhere and gave it 4 stars.
My next pick is a thriller: Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson. I do not know to much about it besides that someone uses fictional murders as an insperation for their crimes. I was intrigued by this literature aspect and hope that it will be a thrilling read 😊

Little Fires Everywhere by Celest Ng. This book gives me kind of a Desperate Housewifes vibe, but then as interesting contemporary literature. I am looking forward to this read :)

Up netxt: Daisy Jones & the Six.
This book has been hyped so much and been everywhere, so I think an introduction to the book is not necessary here. I am almost 100 pages into the story and it is a fast read. I got into the story quite easily however it was difficult to remember who is who in the beginning as there are a few band members and the interview form of the book made it a bit confusing. But by now I got who is who and am really very much looking forward to further reading it :)

I do not read much romance but this new book of Jojo Moyes sounds more like an adventure novel so I thought I should give it a try :)

The Woman in the Window was really good and put me in the mood for another thriller. The Last by Hanna Jameson tells the story of a group of people in an isolated hotel in the aftermath of some nuclear attacs. While being busy surviving the protagonist stumbles over the body of a young girl. He begins investigating... I love this Agatha Christie style murder mysteries with a limited group of people in an isolated location. The end of the world scenario however is a bit out of my reading comfort zone but I am looking forward to a book that is/has not completely my usual genre/background story if you know what I mean...

9 Perfect Strangers - the German edition I bought while I was home before Christmas. Not quite sure what to expect, I thought it was a thriller but then I saw a review that said it was not... :)

I finished Circe and loved it!
Now it is time to relax a bit and read another thriller, it has been a while... I already read one book by Shari Lapena, An Unwanted Guest which I really liked so I am curious what this one will bring :)

I finished the Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy and now I am in the mood for something completely different - Circe by Madeline Miller. I have to admit, this book cought my attention because it is so damn beautiful. As a kid I had Latin in school, so I learnt the basics about Roman and Greek mythology but I had never heard of Circe before. I also bought the Song of Achilles, it might refreshen some memories about the things I learnt at school and forgot in the meantime :p. I already read the first chapter of the book and was immeadiately taken by the beautiful writing and got into the story very easily. Happy Sunday reading everyone :)
