Shift click on parts this also allows to selected rows of something.

Extrude moves everything and makes the shape bigger and longer .

Connect to add more sections

Making a pencil:

Create a cylinder.

Change the amount of sections to 6.

Shift click  the faces and then move the green arrow to make longer.

Move the camera.

Then double click the edges then move the yellow arrow up creating a point at the bottom.

Click extruded again and pull up and then change the change the scale to make it wider.

Then do another extruded and pull up a little then change the scale to make it smaller.

Then create a rubber and the change the size and the scale of it.

Click all the faces of the pencil and then add color to it.

Then connected the point edges and hit enter to connected them then selected all of the faces and change the colour  

Choices the face that you want then click  Shift  then  double click the face next to it.

Week 3

For week 3 we had a view this would of normally been on week four but we missed the first week, this was so we could show where we are on our assignments.

Week 3

Week 3 we did a character walk cycle which changed emotion form one to another, we gave our self a challenge and did several different types of walks, we did this with a puppet and took 2 photos per frame to create a second I needed to take 25 frames. I felt it went okay it could went a bit better as I was ill prepared for the task as I didn’t complete the storyboard in time so i had to it at the end of the lesson

Week 1 and Week 2

Week1:

for week one we did a ball bounce with this by using a ball of clay, by moving it up and down and taking two shots for every frame, to create a second of footage we needed to take 25 frames.I think this went really well and we experimented in how we did it which means all of use got different resultless.

Week2:

For this week we did a character picking up a box for this we used a puppet and draw up a storyboard to show what we were going to do. We did this several times to try get different results. However not all of them came out they way we wanted them to. I felt this went well as we had a small idea on what we where doing and how we where going to do it.

This is example of a bouncing ball done with a ball of clay, this went well I felt that I understood what I was doing and I had a good team to work with. We all had a go at bouncing the ball and tried different techniques to produces different results.

I did this walk cycle to make it look like it was dancing this was harder than the first one as it required me acting out the dance moves for my partner. I felt that this went well and I have made a lot of improvement when it comes to body moment and timing.

This is my walk cycle for stop motion I have used references form 100 ways to walk I also used it for another try at the walk cycle. I think i have  done a better job than last year as I worked harder and add more detail within the animation.

This is another example of a character picking up a box. I felt that this could of gone a bit better with the timing and the movement  of the body however I also feel that it went well and it was better than the previous treys for this task

This is an example of stop motion a character moving a box, I felt that It went we ll I worked a good timing. I also feel that I did better this time around than the first time as I looked more closely on what I was doing and added more to the animation.

#1 Maya For Beginners - Modeling a Cartoon House Tutorial 1080p HD I used this to try understand how to build houses on maya I can safley say that I kinda undersatnd but not 100% I still need to work it. I had to create a radio for this part of the assignment.

lesson 3

We looked at adding texture to an object or an animal we did a cereal box. We got an image for a folder then added it to maya, we then saved the net and then created our own cereal box design on photoshop.

We then started a bird and then we had to make a nex for the bird by cutting it and unfolding it.

The reason I did research on these characters is because of the different types of hairs and body langue, it helped me learn how hair is drawn and how different body langue can tell about the character personality. I drew a basic sketch then added detail soon after, I then added colour to the charters by looking at there colour design I learnt a bit more about colour theory and how and why things are coloured the way they are.

Harley Quinn from DC (Detective Comics)  

The reason I did this research is because I wanted to draw people with masks on and tight costumes and I felt that by drawing DC and Marvel characters I am expanding my research on different types of shapes and sizes. By doing this I have looked different types of fabrics and styles of drawing and then drawn them in my own style other than drawing them in the same style this meant that I had more creative freedom with the characters, i kept them to their normal designs.

The reason I chose to draw Harley Quinn from DC is because of her hat and how it is an odd shape to rest of the other drawings it gives more practise with longer and wider shapes and different types of angles used within drawing. During this time when I started drawing Spiderman, Deadpool, spidergwen, gewnpool and Harley Quinn I had got some new markers so i used them to help me add more depth to my drawing I had also got a light pad to help with adding detail to a sketch without drawing on the original sketch, I saved the sketches and put them with the more detailed drawings. I did the same thing when I stated to draw Harry Potter characters Hermione Granger , Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood 

The last drawing is an old drawing that I redid of Bellatrix Lastrange from the Harry Potter series I felt that this drawing could of been better then the first time I drew it, I think it came out better this time as I had a ruff guid on what I wanted to draw and how I wanted her to stand.

These are some examples of my sketchbook and what I have done over the holiday. The reason I did these sketches is so I could understand my basic skills when it came to drawing characters and sketching. I also wanted to improve my skills on drawing hair and eyes which up till now I have been struggling with and had needed to improve on them. 

There are still some things that I need to improve on such as feet and poses, I also need to improve on keeping all my basic sketches.

Shadow the Hedgehog

I used all these sketches to help with drawing the characters as I haven’t done it in a while. All of these characters belong to Saga. By drawing sonic the hedgehog I am learning how to make animals more human like by adding longer arms and legs and creating a personality for them. I have also learnt how to draw harsher lines and softer lines, while drawing this I have also learnt how to colour and shade using markers to create depth. At first it was hard to get in the swing of drawing the characters such as Silver and Shadow because of the shapes of their quills being more sharp and at an angle than Sonics but I soon got confident with drawing these characters. I will be drawing more of them but with only the basic shape design.
