Texas Republican Congresswoman Kay Granger, aged 81, has been absent from her duties in Washington, D.C., for the past six months while residing in a nursing home costing $4,000 per month.

According to the Daily Mail, despite being the longest-serving Republican lawmaker, Granger has not voted or visited her Capitol Hill office since July. Her nearly 30-year legislative career was scheduled to end in January.

In an announcement to readers, the news organisation said it considered the benefits of being on the platform formerly called Twitter were now outweighed by the negatives, citing the “often disturbing content” found on it. “We wanted to let readers know that we will no longer post on any official Guardian editorial accounts on the social media site X,” the Guardian said. BTW, the belief that you have to leave where you are and go somewhere in order to connect with nature is part of the problem. You can literally connect with nature anywhere; yes, even in an urban environment. You have birds, bugs, plants, weather, seasons, etc. A lot of people need to stop thinking of nature as something out there and start recognizing that it's something that's already right here.

SCAMMER ALERT

For every tarot reader on here or people who sell services in general. @ recoveringinternetaddict is a scammer.

She has ordered a lot of my tarot readings over the last couple of months and has been charging back everything the last few days; over 180 euro's so far and will most likely continue to charge back even more. This has brought me in a lot of trouble financially as one might guess.

She keeps coming with many excuses but isn't really doing anything to solve this even though she claims it 'was an accident'. Yet it isn't an accident > she even told PayPal it wasn't an accident (PayPal said so through customer service mails). She has been doing the same with @tarotwithavi as well, who has also been charged back a significant amount of money so far.

We both have been fighting these chargebacks with all the proof we have, but because she has done the chargebacks through her card holder PayPal isn't able to do anything, and that company will need to look at everything. This will take at least 75 days full of stress and uncertainty.

Please spread this information by liking, reblogging or commenting so the news will be spread to as many people as possible.

I know I am asking for a lot, but if you ever thought of getting a reading from me, it would be very kind to order one now so I can get out of this financial loss as quickly as possible. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated as well.

The level of human rights abuses at home too often goes without notice. The murder of black boys and men by the state forces are so commonplace as to become invisible to the masses, as it does the job of enforcing systemic white supremacy.

Today I learned that on March 21st, Kadarius Smith, a 17 year old Black child, was run over by a police vehicle while cops were responding to an assault in the area (and ofc, all Black boys look like "suspects"). His mom had to be told about the tire treads on his back. And ofc the Leland (Mississippi) police aren't admitting to what happened, saying that witnesses are lying, he wasn't just "walking home with friends". But they won't release any tapes. I couldn't help but remember that poor young Palestinian boy that an Israeli soldier ran over with a bulldozer. His father even said that the family is finished because Kadarius was the last Smith in his line, which also struck me.

This kind of cruelty has been at home, y'all. Admittedly not on par with the immediate, overwhelming violence occurring in Palestine, but... These American police are trained to be cruel and heartless and get away with it. It's not a glitch in the system, the system is working precisely as intended.
