a normal test result doesn’t mean i don’t have symptoms anymore. it just means we’re no closer to an explanation.

i’m still struggling. my symptoms are still getting worse. we just don’t know why, also meaning they don’t take me seriously.

a normal test result is not a a happy thing when disabled.

My fellow autistics, reblog and put in the tags your gender and at what age you got diagnosed. If you are genderqueer/non-binary, you can just put whether you’re afab or amab. I am trying to test my theory that women/afabs get diagnosed so much later in life as opposed to autistic men/amabs who seem to get diagnosed early, but I may be wrong so please put your experience in the tags!

Ableds will look at us who don’t work and are housebound because of our conditions and be like, “It must be nice to stay at home all day”

But in 2020 they lost their shit and bits of their sanity during the two week quarantine when they realized being stuck at home is completely different than voluntarily staying there.

The second they got tired of the hobbies they took up, like baking (which was very popular) and anything else, they didn’t know what to do and got stressed and wanted it to be over. It was boring, it felt like a cage, blah blah blah.

That was just two weeks.

Spain is now the first European country to approve menstrual leave ! They also banned conversion therapy, allowed self ID for trans teens, gave both parents equal rights in lesbian couples, and improved abortion's laws (for teens). today is a great day for women's rights and lgbt+ rights 🇪🇸

The thing is, until you get past the mindset of "justice=punishment" you will never be able to create lasting change. We have actual proof that punitive justice creates more crime and makes criminals more violent. We have actual proof that rehabilitation reduces crime and recidivism. But some of y'all are so stuck on this idea that the wrongdoer must be punished for justice to be done that you will choose sating your need for revenge over actually moving toward a better world every time. And that's sad!

the commodification of friendship is the most annoying thing to come out of the internet in ages. like actually i love to break this to you but you're supposed to help your friends move even if it's hard work. or stay up with them when they're sad even if you're gonna lose sleep. you're supposed to listen to their fears and sorrows even if it means your own mind takes on a little bit of that weight. that's how you know that you care. they will drive you to the airport and then you will make them soup when they're sick. you're supposed to make small sacrifices for them and they are supposed to do that for you. and there's actually gonna be rough patches for both of you where the balance will be uneven and you will still be friends and it will not be unhealthy and they will not be abusive. life is not meant to be an endless prioritization of our own comfort if it was we would literally never get anywhere ever. jesus.
