Just watched the new Nosferatu, here are my thoughts:

First of all it’s a great movie so go and watch it right now. the cinematography, the writing and THE SYMBOLISM. OMG just every creative choice paid off SO WELL. The sexual undertones to count Orlok are honestly TERRIFYING and please have some Media Literacy and realize ITS NOT A FUCKING GOOD LOVE STORY. It’s an oppressive obsession on Orloks side. Also the feminist implications. The corset scene (iykyk). Lilly-Rose Depp was amazing. The physical and psychological acting was on point. The whole cast seemed to really care about the characters and this presents in all of their phenomenal performances. How Ellen felt alone, how her loneliness is the driving force behind the plot, even if it’s not visible or even noticeable. The whole world making her feel oppressed until she gave up herself to protect it.
