Please help my friend. They’re going to bomb the tents again. I’m out of options, I don’t know how else to get people to donate. I just don’t know what else people need to see.
Roughly 70kg is a person?

Those four campaigns not reaching their goal is serious. These people have been living in horrible conditions for more than 300 days. They've been enduring genocide for more than 300 days. Enough is enough. Please donate to any of them. Share whatever posts I have about them. Keep them circulating. We need to meet that goal in time. I don't want to leave them behind like this.
Donate to Momen Al Ostaz, Abdullah Ameen, Doaa's family, and Mahmoud Nedal.
We are still way behind on our goal, and it's been almost 24 hours.

as an addict who is deeply unsatisfied with the current model of addiction, something i've started doing is pay more attention to my language.
i know, from my personal experience, that addiction often comes from desperation. every addict i have ever spoken to has something they were desperately trying, and failing, to fix for years, before they turned to illegal substances as the solution — chronic pain or loneliness or trauma or alienation or or or.
so now, whenever my brain helpfully supplies the phrase "addicted to x," to talk about a compulsive and maybe even subconscious pull towards something that's not an illegal substance, i try to swap that around and start from the craving, or the desperation, depending on the intensity. it has been looking like this:
"addicted to sugar" -> craving something sweet / desperate for calories
"addicted to my phone" -> craving restful and easily available entertainment
"addicted to dopamine" -> needing rest and fun and joy, probably unknowingly on the brink of burnout
"addicted to other people's approval" -> desperate for meaningful, self esteem-building connection
it's a neat little rhetorical trick that helps me from falling into judgment and contempt when talking about my own, and other people's, unhealthy habits. there's no way to condemn other people's addiction (real or imagined) without feeling superior about our own self control.
and like. why are we doing that. what does it serve, politically and ideologically, other than to satisfy our need for superiority. why are we patting ourselves on the back for how good we are at abstaining from pleasure. what are we, christians?

TRANS WOMEN: HERE'S SOME SHIT YOUR DOCTOR WONT TELL YOU ABOUT HRT
1. Progesterone: not for everyone, but for many people it may increase sex drive and WILL make your boobs bigger. Also effects mood in ways that many find positive (but some find negative). Most doctors won’t prescribe this to you unless you ask. Most trans girls I know swear by it.
2. Injectible estrogen: is more effective than pill or patch form. Get on it if you can bear needles bc you will see more effects more quickly.
3. Estradiol Cypionate: There is currently a shortage of injectible estradiol valerate. There is no shortage of estradiol cypionate. Functionally they do the same shit.
4. Bicalutamide: This is an anti-androgen that has almost none of the side-effects of spironolactone or finasteride. The girls I know who are on it are evangelical about it.

July, 2024 - “I will continue, I will stay here at this place and as long as I am alive, I will serve my patients and people.” Israeli forces abducted Palestinian doctor Issam Abu Ajwa from al-Ahli hospital in Gaza where he was volunteering as a surgeon, and held him captive for over 200 days. He suffered prolonged torture at the hands of his Israeli captors and lost 37 kg in six months, but now he's back at work in al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital so save Palestinian lives. [video]

israel tries to hide its military failures and losses by murdering children and civilians in their tents so they can have a *number of casualties* to report with and pretend they did something.

Waiting in endless lines to secure some food or water, fending off disease-carrying insects, and enduring the suffocating summer heat in a makeshift tent; This is what our children's lives have been reduced to.
My family is still trapped in Gaza going through unbearable levels of hardship, completely cut off from the world, malnourished, thirsty and exhausted, and still in mortal danger every minute of every day.

The last airstrike that targeted the camps in Mawassi khan Yunis hit almost near their tent. They barely made it. My heart sank when I heard of the attack and I started frantically calling everyone but none of them answered. Fortunately, my brother later called and said they miraculously survived but it could have been worse. The sound of the bombing was so close; the babies and the kids started crying. Omar was shivering from fear. I was relieved that they had survived but I kept asking myself.
What if they don't next time?! What will become of them if the borders are not opened soon enough?!
Will our babies become numbers and statistics on phone screens?!

Please help me look after them and keep them as safe as possible until they get the chance to evacuate 🙏
we have currently reached €60,837 out of €70,000 our aim.
I truly believe we can make it and achieve our goal thanks to your generosity.
Please keep donating and reblogging. Every single contribution is crucial to my family's very survival!
