Small Miracles, all. Don’t doubt they can happen.
I first saw this Brigid statue at one of my favorite metaphysical stores months ago. At least six months, possibly more like eight or ten. At the time, I was just entranced by her, but didn’t feel like I could make the purchase financially.
And then this week, I learned the store was closing because the owner is retiring, and I was so sad. I immediately started planning a trip to visit the store before its closure in mid-February (it’s about a 90-minute drive). I can’t go for a few weeks, but there were several things that I was hoping the store would have, and that I could contribute to the store’s income before it closed. And I thought, “What if they still have the Brigid I wanted so much?” It seemed crazy. It’s been months. I thought surely someone would have bought her long ago.
But, I messaged the owner on Facebook, asking about the statue and several other items I was looking for. She was so incredibly nice, went looking for the items in the store for me, and sent me this picture to make sure this was the right statue. It was. After all these months, they still had her.
I teared up a little bit. It felt like she had been waiting for me.
So today, I called the store and paid for the statue, and they have packed her up and set her aside for me, so that I can pick her up when I go in person. The staff on the phone were equally gracious and kind, and seemed delighted that Brigid had found her way to me after such a long time.
I will be so sad to see this store go, but what a precious final gift to be given.

Apparently, a sweet bumblebee got inside my house and died near my altar. I am really upset about it, but I am praying that Brighid watch over her and save the rest of her hive...I saw another one dead outside and I think a neighbor may have sprayed something. Our bees are so precious and important, and even one small death is something that hurts me.

Today, for Imbolc, I donated to a local youth shelter in Brighid’s honor. Her love and warmth keeps me all year, and it’s important that I spread my blessings to others. I encourage anyone reading this to also consider donations to shelters as an act of devotion. May you all have a blessed Imbolc, I hope you find hope in the promise of Spring. 💐

Gold Tubular Collar from Lough Foyle, Northern Ireland dated to the 1st Century BCE on display at the National Museum of Ireland-Archaeology in Dublin
This tubular collar as well as a miniature boat, cauldron, two neck chains and a pair of twisted collars (torcs) were found on the ancient shore of Lough Foyle in County Derry. The sea god Manannán mac Lir was associated with Lough Foyle and the objects are thought to be offerings to the god. The decoration on the tubular collar appears to include a highly stylised horse, an animal that is especially associated with Manannán mac Lir.

🔥🌱Brigid Devotional Tips🌱🔥
Brigid (”The Fiery Arrow”, “The Ash-less Flame”, “The Moon Crowned Lady of the Undying Flame”) is the Celtic goddess of fertility, healing, music, poetry and smith craft. She´s the daughter of The Dagda and is incredibly loving and nourishing.

Celebrate Imbolc.
Cleanse yourself and your space calling upon her to purify you.
Whenever you need her help, light a yellow candle and tell her why you´re invoking her. She´s very loving and will help you.
Offer her your creative projects (a drawing, a song, etc)
Offer her blackberries.
Practice grounding yourself.
Ask her for help whenever you start a new project/adventure.
Give eco-friendly offerings to Birch trees.
Connect with the element of fire.
When life´s difficult, find your inner fire and strength.
Cleanse your second chakra for it is the center of creativity and is theme of the divine mother.
Light candles around your house (if it is safe)
Find love and beauty in all you sense.
Become acquainted with your own cycles.
Recognize whenever you need a fresh start.
Practice not being scared of changes and new beginnings.
Start the morning telling her your intentions of the day.
Contemplate what needs to heal within you and ask her for help.
If you or one of your loved ones is sick, ask for her healing powers.
Create or buy an iron amulet.
