Arcane fandom

I have to say, Arcane fandom became pretty annoying to me. I don't mean ship wars or mischaracterisation, these are normal in parts of every fandom and Arcane isn't the first fandom I'm in. I mean how some fans are completely ignorant towards other League related media. I've seen a ton of opinions like "League could never do this" about queer characters, strong female characters or worldbuilding, or something in a way of "I wish there was an Arcane game, but not League of Legends". You know why these annoy me? BECAUSE THOSE PEOPLE DON'T EVEN WANT TO CHECK!

Caitlyn and Vi are not the only queer characters, they are not even the first confirmed ones. There are around fifteen openly queer champions in League of Legends and even more in the stories, comics and other games. Same goes with strong female characters. I know the reputation Riot has when it is about designing women, but it really got better in recent years and, to be honest, the stories behind them were never bad. Riot also did a great job with their worldbuilding, having a map, descriptions of certain nations and a lot of art showing the landscapes, animals, clothing, etc.

There are games besides the most popular League of Legends, set in the same universe. For example, Legends of Runeterra is a card game, which shows a lot of character stories and add to the regions. I didn't try it, but there are also RPG, like The Mageseeker or Ruined King, but those are paid.

The best thing that Arcane fans are missing out on are the stories and comics uploaded on Riots website, that you can read for free. I recommend checking it if you miss Arcane. I know Leagues reputation, I'm not saying that you should play it. I would even say that you should stay away from the original game. I just think it's sad and annoying that people are praising Arcane but shitting on anything from the same universe, without even checking it first. It's like there would be a movie and people would say they want more, while ignoring ten books and two seasons of a sequel series.
