After stepping away from my monster designs for quite a while, I'm looking back at them with fresh eyes, and it feels so strange to be gushing over how much I love my own stuff, but past me was COOKING with some of these.
Also yes, it has been 4 months since I posted anything here, I've been trapped in the fandom mines.

Computer is up and running and I can already see a difference! Shame I can't use my tablet on it just yet, need to grab a different cable for that, but I'm liking it quite well so far!

Tomorrow I put the fans into my new pc, after that, I bring it to life properly. Building it was surprisingly fun, but I've always liked building stuff, I suppose.

Somehow managed to burn my thumb trying to melt chocolate for my ice cream, hung out with friends the next day and got dragged into mario kart wii - with a thumb I couldn't really use. Still won a few of those races, the muscle memory never leaves ya, but I was claw gripping that controller between my index and middle like my life depended on it.
#text post#chronicals of friendship#ow ow ow#The resulting blister from the burn is question mark shaped btw

Me when my hype for upcoming games leads to me grappling with how I'll just have to get used to seeing The Fandom Horrors once again...
#text post#late night dilemmas#Oh no I'm whining about something#I've been getting into a lot of games that are at least a few years old rather than anything new as of late so new stuff is nice!#I dipped out of fandom spaces for quite a while there - it was doing a number on my enjoyment of things#'Do you play turn based strategy?' “Oh yeah like once everyyyyy 5 years?”#my interest character has pivoted in a way that resembles the spiderman pointing meme it's really funny

I'm working on building myself a PC, my good ol' laptop's reaching its limits(the software and stuff works fine, though I am due for a performance upgrade - I mean it is physically breaking apart from use and the fans scream like damned souls in hell), so that's exciting for me.

Urban Monster #14: Flitterhund
Element - Wind Diet - Herbivore Drops - Wing Membrane Habitat - Rural Towns, Cities
This friendly and playful monster is most active at dawn, where it can be seen soaring above densely populated settlements. Sightings are uncommon, but most frequent in larger cities, around marketplaces where large amounts of fruit are sold, but they may also appear in more rural towns in close proximity to orchards. They can eat a staggering amount of fruit in a very short time, but this will impact their flying ability - this, along with their lack of a wariness of humans, is likely why they're rather elusive.

Urban Monster #12: Mimikitty
Element - Toxic Diet - Carnivore Drops - Kitty Claw Habitat - Cities
Mimikitty are black, cat-like creatures that hide in things like discarded crates and boxes. It’s advised to avoid making contact with them, as their bites and claws can cause one to become very ill, and if untreated, the wound can lead to a nasty infection. Mimikitty who live outside cities tend to use things like rocks and shells to cover their bodies.

What do you mean I dropped off the face of this platform again? It hasn't been that long, only...
Oh it's been two months of dead silence.
Whoops
#text post#Also my last post was me getting sick with covid again#and this one is me coming off a light head cold#bookends? I guess???#Then again I'm already not someone who's much of an 'active poster' anyway#So my periods of dead silence are probably not surprising at this point

Y'know I've been playing lobotomy corporation recently(I'm up to day 22-ish) and I just realized that, for some reason, I'm getting the same feelings during gameplay that I got when playing insaniquarium, and I can't? Really explain why?
#text post#insaniquarium deluxe#lobotomy corporation#Is it the cruelty of bringing fish into existence for the sole purpose of feeding a bigger fish for better profits?#Or is that just me being horribly brainrotted#Idk I'm sick again and this game is probably not the best to play while sick#Still gonna do it tho

Urban Monster #11: Falcvancer
Element - Frost Diet - Carnivore Drops - Silver Feather Habitat - Cities
These bird-like monsters are highly skilled with various forms of magic. They use wind and fire spells to gain speed and altitude when flying, and coupled with the dexterity of their wings, it is effortless for them to fly between buildings and obstacles, even in crowded cities. While normally rowdy monsters that enjoy pulling pranks, when tamed they become wholly different personality-wise, becoming very diligent to their Tuner.

Every few months, their eye falls out and a new one regenerates in a matter of hours, maintaining their excellent vision or healing any damage the eye has sustained. Urban Monster #9: Pestrash
Element - Toxic Diet - Omnivore Drops - Collection Sack Habitat - Cities
A very common monster in highly populated cities. They extend their bodies out from the can they use as a shell and collect copious amounts of trash, storing it in the sac on their tail. They will occasionally fight people for half eaten food, but because of their cowardly personalities, at the first sign of trouble they retreat to the dark alleys they nest in.
