Js remembering how my old friendgroup pressuring me to come out as gay. I"M NOT GAY/LES. they would always be telling ppl that i was gay and trying to convince me that i was les. James Lee. That was the name of the man you hated so much.

You were always easily the top of whatever interest you had, you were the president of your class, the president of the swordsman club, even the best designer in your school.

That is until a red hair devil by the name of James Lee came into the picture. He seemed to take joy in toppling your position, smiling as he took the trophy from the most promising designer award.

You glared at her, reconsidering your whole friendship. Still, you took this as an opportunity to air your grievance out. “I don’t think so, does he even know what is a brus?-“ You couldn’t even finish your sentence, as you were cut off by the very man you were referring to.

“Hey-“ James approached your desk. “Vice president, don’t you have homework to collect?” You glared at him, but got up from seat anyways. Before he arrived, you were the class president, you were basically the teacher’s assistant. But ever since he took that tittle, the work still fell on you. Another reason for your distain. James smiled innocently at you while you maintained that glare.

“H-hi.” James hummed and look towards your friend, she looked like a nervous wreck; messing with her sleeves and all. “I’m s-sorry about her behavior. I don’t understand why she acts like she’s high on her horse when she-“

“Cut that out.” He glared at her, and she shut up immediately and shriveled away in shame.

With that interaction, he walked back to his seat and watched as you demand homework from other students. He had always liked you for your sense of responsibility. Always admired you for being so persistent, even when it gets too difficult. Suddenly, it all just dawn on him to be nicer to you.

James held out a pineapple bun once he noticed you didn’t bring any food for lunch.

“What do you think you’re doing?”

“What do you think I’m doing?”

“I don’t want it.” You scoffed and turned the other way.

“Suit yourself.” James shrugged and walked away. Yet, you still found a pineapple bun in your bag.

“Your design is looking good.” James complimented once he noticed your design.

“Thanks.” You glared and moved your work away from his view.

“I mean it.”

“Thanks. Mr James perfect Lee.” You replied sarcastically.

“Maybe you’ll win this time” He shrugged, a grin on his face.

“Don’t you dare hold back.” You gave him a death glare.

Afterall, there is no greater insult to you than someone letting you win, you wanted to win on your own merit.

This time, much to yours and his surprise, you did win. As it turned out, the judge loved the imperfections of your work.

This man found a way to worm around you all the time, you hated it. But you’ve gone used to his presence. The sense of loneliness disappeared, you always focused on being perfect and neglected everything else. Even if it’s a devilish rival, you’re glad you finally have someone.

“Hey!” James exclaimed, running towards you with a grin.

“You’re late.” You frowned.

“Sorry~“ James whined “-I wanted to get you something.”

“Chocolate? Thank you” You smiled, taking note that it’s your favorite brand and all.

“Can’t your sweet boyfriend get a kiss for getting you chocolate?” He put your arm around your shoulder and leaned closer to your face.

“Sweet? Please, you’re as sweet as black coffee.” You whispered, flustered by the closeness.

“Coffee becomes sweet with the right stuff.” You rolled your eyes, but you kissed him anyways. Even you have to admit, him being in your life made it better.
