Just had a thought... Aziraphale keeps looking out the window, stalling the Metatron. We can take that multiple ways, I know the first time I watched it was definitely him dithering post kiss. I've seen the hiding the clock theory if Crowley somehow stopped time outside the book shop at some point. Aziraphale maybe changing his mind and maybe actually thinking about taking something to heaven with him.

But he was looking out the window at Crowley, we know. He got Crowley out of the bookshop, but Crowley didn't leave. Because of course Crowley wouldn't leave. He'd stay there, waiting forever if he thought it would help his Angel. We all know that.

Aziraphale was waiting for him to leave, because if he took off in the Bentley, as fast as Crowley usually drives, he'd be safe.

Aziraphale didn't actually plan to go to heaven with the Metatron. If Crowley had driven away he would have done something spectacularly stupid.

But Crowley didn't. So now he has to come up with another plan. And when he hears Heaven's plan he gives his demon a knowing look and Metatron seems very damned relieved Aziraphale got in the lift. And then we get the smile of an Angel who is just enough of a bastard to be worth liking. The minisodes of S2 showed us that Aziraphale is very English (Mr. McFell, indeed), gayer than a tree full of monkey's (1941 my beloved) and intelligent (and very in sync with Crowley - They fooled 2 archangels with no actual plan! Even got through Michael's questions!). I mean, Aziraphale figures out the loophole in order to thwart everyone's plans without actually disobeying anyone.

Anyway, the point was not dolphins, my point was, I really think Aziraphale expected Crowley to leave like he did in Episode 1 and then he wouldn't have gotten in the lift. He would have done something maybe foolish to stop the Metatron.

So don't discount whatever idea he smiles about while riding up the lift to heaven. Our angel has a plan and he's going to not care what happens as long as he can protect his demon. Which means Crowley is going to or already does hate the plan. 😆

Seriously the Monica Hunter episode where Sophie is trying to Mastermind and Nate is critiquing her on how she says 'Let's go Steal a General' is so much more hilarious after Redemption and all the crew constantly telling Harry's he's doing it wrong. 😆😆

Okay, I don't know how many times I've seen the Leverage pilot episode but I just realized that Nate was in Illinois SPECIFICALLY to see Sophie's play because he doesn't live there. He was in the bar waiting to head to the airport, he's already divorced and jobless, so why was he there? He knew that Sophie was there. He saw her play the night before he was approached by Dubenich.

How did it take me this long to realize that? 🤦‍♀️

Someone had posted this thing on Facebook that was a Twitter thread of the 7 deadly ships (7 deadly sins and their counterparts as queer couples) and it was like "Pride is a leather bear and his boyfriend Humility is a clean cut twink who dresses like Mr. Rogers" and my brain automatically went... So Crowley and Aziraphale if Michael and David switched roles. 😆😆

My brain: Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega ... Hmmm.. thinky thoughts about omegaverse where there can be intersex people who are both? What would they smell like? I posted chapter one of my latest Ineffable Husbands Human AU - it's almost finished, just two smut scenes left to write - but as it was inspired to be finished by the DIWS Spring Cleaning event, I wanted to start publishing it today.
