so uhh… have any of yall questioned why you guys have the same birthday??? Or like uhhh not known…

(futturman is the one setting up the camera. his slight unfamiliarity with it is prominent as he fiddles with its position.)

“okay, there..” he sighs, then smiles. “we actually don’t have the same birthdays, surprisingly. couldn’t name you their birthdays off the top of my head. like, i think clapton’s is in some month of the summer, but mines in spring. it’s kind of nice; even though we don’t really have seasons or.. years here, we celebrate each other’s birthdays sometimes.” he gesticulates as he talks, never looking directly down the barrel of the camera.

“sooo, yeah. we don’t have the same birthdays.” he smiles nervously, unsure how to end. “bye.” he puts his hand over the lens.

i really wish i could continue this but motivation has gone WAY down. but i still want to write for these characters! i’m thinking of making a separate account where i can write more freely about jhutch characters as well as evan peters & kyle gallner characters bc i love them as well..

and maybe i still will try to write here!! what do yall think?

I realise that the guys can’t leave the liminal space where they live, but can people enter? say Sean Anderson entered their “realm”, is that even possible? I know Clapton has spoken about his living quarters before so just wondering what else he can tell :33

a black screen. "how do i turn this thing on...?" "oh, my hand's over the lens." the black goes away as clapton takes his hand off of the camera. he grins as he sees himself in the viewfinder. "hey!" he says. "i guess i've become the resident lore-giver, yeah? i don't mind." he's in his room, the only lighting around being the green led strip lights visible in the background. "there's gotta be some way for people to enter.. all of us got here," he looks off, thinking hard. "oh! i saw a rabbit in the field across from our house! i-i don't know how it got there. i've never seen any animals over there. but there has to be for there to be an ecosystem, right?" clapton rambles on. "also-- who's sean anderson?" (the video ends.)

what piercings does everyone have? i think Derek would look good with an eyebrow piercing, and Clapton— lowkey a belly button piercing. seems like the guy to wear a crop top to show it off :]

mike sets the camera down on the coffee table in front of the couch, the wide angle revealing each of the boys, sat in a line on the couch. well, some of them aren't. clapton is sitting on the floor next to peeta's leg-- derek is leaning his elbows on the couch backboard while munching on a stick of rock candy from their pantry. most of them have their eyes on the tv that's presumably offscreen. "alright," he claps, as if he were a dad about to announce he's going off the bed, "this person asks-" before mike can finish his sentence, clapton lights up, looking at the camera. "we have an ask?" there are stars in his eyes as he picks up the camcorder and waves. "hi! we missed you!" peeta's laughter is audible in the background. "clapton-" mike quickly gets the camera back, putting it back on the coffee table. "the question, if you'd let me speak.. 'what piercings does everyone have?' huh, that's a new one." "i haven't got any." peeta chimes in, a smile on his face. "clapton offered to pierce my ears, but i don't really trust him with anything sharp." josh goes next. "i just have my lobes- i meant to stretch them a little, but i kinda chickened out, so.." he grins sheepishly. "jacob's ladder." derek states. mike, the only one who seems to understand, looks at the blondie like he's crazy. derek just shrugs. he adds, "oh. and my lobes." "i've got a helix ring from a dare at a party, my lobes, and a belly button piercing from another dare!" clapton pulls up his shirt to reveal a silver stud under his belly button. he sticks his tongue out, posing for the camera. mike, who is still recovering from the jacob's ladder comment, looks at the camera. "when i was a teenager, i got a nose ring as, like, rebellion or whatever. i took it out, but the hole is still there." he looks back at derek as he reaches for the camera. his hand covers the viewfinder, clumsily reaching for the off button. "do you really have a jacob's-" (the video ends.)

Jello yellow, how are you today hope you're doing good anyways I wanted to ask if Mike ever sees abby like does abby exist in this universe if so then what would their thoughts be on her

mike is sitting down. he lets out a long sigh. "yeah, uh... i haven't been able to see abby. i miss her a lot. adjusting here has been weird, to say the least and it's been a lot weirder without her." he lets out a humorless chuckle. "i've told the others a bajillion stories about her. i'll ask them what they think of her." (the video cuts to clapton, on a couch.) mike speaks behind the camera. "so, just... what do you think about abby?"

"oh, she seems like a sweet kid!" clapton grins, "i think we would get along." he nods with a lopsided smile. (it cuts to josh.) "she's cool--" he's munching on a bag of chips. "you think i would be, like... uncle josh for her or something? do we count as brothers? i mean, we must have some of the same dna if we look the same, but-" (it cuts to peeta.) "i'm pretty good with kids. she seems really nice." he smiles sweetly. (it cuts to derek.) "... i don't like kids." he says with a slightly disgusted look. mike walks around the camera and shrugs at it before turning it off. (the video ends.)

lazy morning

peeta is always the first to wake up. he wakes up with the sun streaming through his large window, stretches, cracks his neck, and runs to the shower. by the time he gets out, and is drying his hair with a towel in the bathroom mirror, clapton’s alarm clock blares.

with clumsy fingers and a groan, he finds the snooze button on it, stopping its screeching. the faint sound of party music is coming from a speaker he forgot to turn off.

meanwhile, peeta is pulling on a compression shirt and some patterned pajama pants. he runs his hands through his sandy hair to get it out of his face.

clapton finally wakes up around 30 minutes later, yawning and tiredly walking to the bathroom. he’s still mostly asleep when he gets there, so he doesn’t notice how bad his bedhead is, or how he somehow took off his shirt in his sleep, or that the waistband of his boxers is sticking out from his pajama pants. time for a hot shower…

the sun is still warm when futturman wakes up. he showers in the nighttime, so on this morning, he just goes straight to the kitchen, where peeta is making breakfast and clapton is scarfing down an omelette covered in syrup. the room is lively with fresh morning light and energy.

“morning.” he greets the two, rubbing the tiredness from his face.

“g’morning!”

“hey there,”

the two greet back.

“pancakes?” peeta offers, turning the pan towards josh to show him.

“yes please.”

clapton stuffs the last of his omelette in his mouth, putting the empty plate into the sink. “i’ll wash the dishes later, kay?”

“got it.” peeta holds a thumbs up as josh walks to sit down at the dining table.

clapton starts to walk down the hallway that connects mike and futturman’s bedrooms (as well as a little game room) to the kitchen/dining room. “morning, mike!”

“morning…” mike responds, his voice gruff and raspy. seems like he just woke up by the sound of his speech and the way his hair is sticking up this way and that. he walks past clapton, looking at peeta. “you on breakfast duty today?”

“yep. just making a couple more pancakes for everyone.” peeta smiles.

“cool. get me some.. please.” mike says, scratching his scalp as he walks back into the hallway, towards the second bathroom of the house.

“have you seen derek?” josh asks peeta, now the only one left in the room.

“no, but.. you know him,” he laughs lightly. “he needs his ‘beauty sleep.’”

josh laughs a bit too.

“SHUT THE FUCK UP, I’M TRYING TO FUCKING SLEEP!” derek’s booming voice comes muffled through the walls of the house.

“there he is…”

this one is for peeta! on a scale of one to one million how traumatizing were the hunger games and everything that ensued? like do you get flashbacks and ptsd type shit orr?

peeta sits in his bed— a simple one with no really defining features— and looks to the side as he thinks.

“on a scale of one to one million, it’s pretty close to one million, ha.” he smiles weakly. “i don’t get super bad flashbacks. they happen sometimes. not a lot. nightmares are what really get me.” peeta itches the back of his neck. “plus, with katniss not here… it’s harder to deal with everything.”

“mike helps me sometimes, though.” he seems to perk up a little. “he has nightmares too. he’ll tell me how he deals with them— sometimes he lets me listen to the little…” peeta motions with his hands as he tries to find the words. “box with the nature sounds in it.”

“when things get really bad, sometimes i forget to eat. clapton has to check up on me, haha.”

“it’s gotten harder in this new environment to, yknow, get used to stuff, but.. i think i’m adapting.” peeta smiles softly. he takes a breath and reaches for the camera.

who's better at skateboarding, clapton or derek? and have they ever tried to teach the others?

“i’m better and you know it!” clapton yells off screen, turning the camera to a very angry derek.

“oh, have you had tons of practice skating around the office you fucking run? i don’t fucking think so.” derek yells back. he’s laying sideways on a couch.

“no, i go to a skatepark like a real skater! you can’t even do a kick flip— probably just pay someone to do it for you.”

“oh, go dry up in a fuckin ditch.. stupid bastard.” derek storms off. clapton turns the camera back to face him. he’s laughing.

“if i hear that stupid fucking laugh of yours again, i’ll stomp your face in!” derek yells from the distance.

clapton calms himself down. “oh yeah, there’s another question here too.. i actually taught mike how to do an ollie, a backside ollie, and a kickflip. he said he used to skate as a kid, so it was easier to teach him..” he looks off, making sure derek isn’t in earshot.

“and by the way—“ he whispers”— i’m totally the better skater.”
