I was excited yesterday to see a new post from advice-hiei, the blog that started it all, only to feel my heart sink when I saw they had announced that all RP elements would be removed from the blog, that this had been discussed among the most active rp'ers in the group and they all wanted to either delete their blogs, pass them off to someone new, or return to the ask blog format.

Checking the other blogs in the 25 year after timeline, I found that the RP content had already vanished from most of them, and several were deleted completely. As of this writing (2/26/2019) Keiko, Shishi, Suzuka, Jin, Touya, Asuka, Haru, Younger Toguro, Akako, Mukuro, Kandai, Lady Shuna's Ladies, Slavers of Makai, and myself haven't yet entirely deleted our RP content. I haven't tagged anyone out of respect for the group-wide decision not to continue.

My activity dropped off in December as I've been helping my partner (who runs Kandai and co-runs Shuna's Ladies and Slavers) recover from major surgery, and as an OC paired with a supporting character I was never part of the main group so I (understandably) was not part of this discussion, meaning it was news to me and incredibly sad that things were ending, especially (seemingly) suddenly and including the deletion of the story content I have so enjoyed. There are lines of dialogue that exist now only in my memory.

I've been watching Yu Yu Hakusho since it's initial run on adult swim. I credit this show with getting me through middle and high school, and bonding over mutual love of it and rp'ing fueled my closest friendships from that time and first serious relationship. It's accurate to say I would not be who I am today without Yu Yu Hakusho.

Getting a chance to RP again has been an absolute dream. It's been a beautiful six months and has even gotten me to start writing fanfiction for the first time in nearly a decade.

For that reason this account will remain. Shuna is a fairly new OC for me, not to mention all her wonderful girls, but I am absolutely in love with her story and her world and will be posting links to fanfiction inspired by these RP adventures (and with some co-writing by @sirkandai ) in the near future. Thank you to my fellow RP'ers for that inspiration, it's a gift beyond measure.

I will not, however, continue to RP with this blog or those I co-run. It's too sad and strange to think about doing it without the group. Who knows, maybe someday new rp'ers will pop up with new ideas and I'll have this community again.

For anyone still active who sees this, it's been an absolute joy. Thank you for welcoming me back to a way of being a fan I thought I had outgrown and didn't know I still needed. To my incredible partner, thank you for coming on this journey with me. I thought I would have to give up this kind of weird fan stuff when I got married, but you have blessedly proven me wrong.

                               Kuwabara Birthday Week

It’s that time of year again! In honor of Kuwabara’s birthday, we’re dedicating an entire week towards celebrating an underappreciated character!

When is it? February 25th to March 3rd, 2019. How does this work? Anyone can create fanworks (and is encouraged) that feature Kazuma Kuwabara! It can be shippy or platonic but he must be the main focus. It can be headcanons, meta, fanart, videos, fanfic, graphics, fanmixes, gifs, any kind of fanwork! For any fanworks created for the event, you can either send it, mention @thekazumakuwabara and/or use the tag #KuwabaraBirthdayWeek in the first five tags on your posts. It’ll be tracked so it can be reblogged to the blog.

Since tumblr has banned visual n s f w works, sadly, I can’t reblog it (unless you post a SFW preview and it links somewhere else). But you can write n s f w stuff, however, please put it under a read more.
