(i haven't played the dlc yet!! no spoilers plsss!) but essentially, professor sada if she'd been the one to leave. travels and bounces from region to region, busy with archeological digs and conferences. receives letters every once in a while from arven, but never quite knows who mails them out for the child or how they know which site she's currently at. (she thinks it's turo. the letters come to a cold stop after year 7). obligatory volcarona tramp stamp. wonders about the million 'what-could-have-been's every once in a while.

i saw your question about the best tarot card for clavell & I'm letting you know I'm going to deep dive into this as soon as I can :D My first reaction is to cite Strength or maybe Magician for his notably repetitive history (if you include the arven fanon stuff lol) of making good things happen out of bad hand me down situations, but I'll get back on this

ohhh both of those options are so good!!!!! Idk much about tarot, beyond mostly superficial interpretations. Eg. Clavell for the Death card, if with my shippy lens with Sada and Turo:

Sada + Turo: Their physical deaths

Clavell: Death/end/change of times at the Academy. Ushering a new culture in management, how he's righting past wrongs etc.

Anyway, tangent aside, "making good things happen out of the bad hand me downs" is such a good summary of what he does I LOVE THE OLD MAN-
