EPIC: THE UNDERWORLD SAGA. roleplay starters of jorge rivera-herrans' 5th ep of epic: the musical. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
THE UNDERWORLD.
[ name ]'s instructions were clear.
no matter what we hear, full speed ahead.
this land confuses your mind.
all i hear are screams, every time i dare to close my eyes.
i no longer dream, only nightmares of those who've died.
nothing's what it seems.
when does a man become a monster?
why would you let the cyclops live when ruthlessness is mercy?
the past seems close behind.
this life is amazing when you greet it with open arms.
whatever we face, we'll be fine if we're leading from the heart.
greet the world with open arms.
that voice, it can't be.
when you come home i'll be waiting.
even if you're the last thing i see, i'll be waiting.
i'm right here, [ name ].
can't you see? i'm waiting.
i took too long.
i'll always love you.
i'll stay in your heart.
NO LONGER YOU.
i am the prophet with the answers you seek.
time, i've unlocked it.
i see past and future running free.
there is a world where i help you get home, but that's not a world i know.
i see the sacrifice of man.
i see portrayals of betrayal.
i see a man who gets to make it home alive, but it's no longer you.
this can't be.
we've suffered and sailed through the toughest of hells.
now you tell us our effort's for nothing?
i see your palace covered in rеd.
i see your wife with a man who is haunting, a man with a trail of bodies.
MONSTER.
how has everything been turned against us?
how did suffering become so endless?
how am i to reunite with my estranged?
do i need to change?
i'm surrounded by the souls of those i've lost.
i'm the only one whose line i haven't crossed.
what if the greatest threat we'll find across the sea is me?
what if i'm the monster?
what if i'm in the wrong?
what if i'm the problem that's been hiding all along?
what if i'm the one who killed you every time i caved to guilt?
what if i've been far too kind to foes, but a monster to ourselves?
is the cyclops struck with guilt when he kills?
is he up in the middle of the night?
did she learn to be colder when she got older and now she saves them the pain?
when a god comes down and makes a fleet drown is he scared that he's doing something wrong?
if i became the monster, and threw that guilt away, would that make us stronger?
would it keep our foes at bay?
who would care if we're unjust?
ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves.
i lost my best friend.
i lost my mentor.
i will deal the blow and i'll become the monster.
so what if i'm the monster lurking deep below?
i'll become the monster.

EPIC: THE CIRCE SAGA. roleplay starters of jorge rivera-herrans' 4th ep of epic: the musical. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
PUPPETEER.
i have something that i must confess.
until it is said, i cannot rest.
go make sure this [ place ] is secure.
there's only so much left we can endure.
whatever you need to say can wait some more.
[ name ], back so soon?
by the gods, what happened to you?
inside we heard a voice.
nothing could prepare us for thе power that awaited inside.
what did this [ place ] hide?
since we left home we've faced a variety of foes from a wide range of places.
we are weak to a power like this.
what was it?
she had us in just two words.
come inside.
damn...
go ahead and rest wherever you like.
i got you.
don't worry, [ name ]'s got you now.
let me bring you all something to eat.
she changed them!
the world does not tend to forgive.
i'm not a player, i'm a puppeteer.
we have to go save them.
let's just cut our losses, you and i, and let's run.
i can hardly sleep now knowing everything we've done.
there's no length i wouldn't go if it was you i had to save.
i can only hope you'd do the same.
i can hear her still and her voice deceives.
this is the price we pay to love.
WOULDN'T YOU LIKE.
i must say what a brilliant speech you gave.
who goes there?
a foe like [ name ] is not to be messed with.
you wanna beat [ pronoun ]?
wouldn't you like a taste of the power?
wouldn't you like to use more than words?
wouldn't you like to have some of thе magic?
wouldn't you like your outcome prefеrred?
she can turn you into an animal that'll end up on her plate.
she can conjure up a monster that'll grind you to the bones.
all you need’s imagination.
don’t thank me, friend. you very well may die!
DONE FOR.
i hope that i've been misinformed.
we seldom get a warm welcome.
did you do something to them?
all i did was reveal their true forms.
i don't know who you are nor why you're here.
i've got people to protect.
i'm not taking chances.
if you makе one wrong move, then you're done for.
i could put a spell on you and you're done for.
you better cower now and flee.
[ name ] gave it to you, didn't he?
okay, fine, yes, but regardless.
you and i are now evenly matched.
our fates are intertwined, they're attached.
you've made your one wrong move, now you're done for.
the last time we let strangers live, we faced a heavy loss.
everyone's true colours are revealed in acts of lust.
i'm not sure i follow.
THERE ARE OTHER WAYS.
there are other ways of persuasion.
there are other modes of control.
there are other means of deceit.
there are other roads to the soul.
there are other actions of passion.
you have so much left to learn.
show me that you're willing to burn.
there is so much power, but there's no puppet here.
forgive me.
back at home, my wife awaits for me.
she is my everything, my [ name ].
it's been twelve long years.
the god of tides is out to end my life.
so i beg you, [ name ], grant us mercy.
there might be a way to evade him.
there might be a way to get home.
it might be your one final hope.
wait, you're helping us?
maybe showing one act of kindness leads to kinder souls down the road.
i have been in love once before.
maybe one day the world will need a puppeteer no more.

NEVER WHISTLE AT NIGHT: AN INDIGENOUS DARK FICTION ANTHOLOGY. ( 1 / ? ) roleplay starters of mathilda zeller's kushtuka. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
you don't have to love him, just make his baby.
he'll pay you to keep quiet about it.
the money could really help, you know.
go inside and clean that up. you're getting blood everywhere.
what are you doing here?
there was an accident down in the mines.
they all survived, but they're in really rough shape.
maybe you should come inside.
they're mining into her domain.
their guts were torn out?
and they're saying it was wolves?
what did you do to your hand?
go get the bandages.
i'm sure he'll shoot the biggest caribou known to man.
by the time he gets back to kansas, it'll have turned into a polar bear.
you have a job this weekend.
he needs hired help. you know, cooking, cleaning.
i already told him you'd go. you're going.
that's what i thought.
tell me a native story.
tell me something new.
you call that a ghost story?
i saw it with my own two eyes.
all i hear is you trying to amp me up.
wasn't enough to tell me your ghost stories, you want to spook me now.
you really had me going for a minute there.
you'll love this place.
if they're not his, where did you get them?
there was something outside the house that was clearly murderous and looked just like me.
you clearly need to loosen up.
let me in!
don't. say. a. word.
you're an ugly one, aren't you?
are you dead, or do i need to blast you again?
they were wrong. they were all wrong. i showed them.
he isn't worth what we'll pay for this.
i thought he was going to kill you.
let's take it back to her then, okay?
you, my dear, are most certainly welcome.

HADESTOWN. ( 2 / ? ) roleplay starters of anaïs mitchell's hadestown. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
LIVIN' IT UP ON TOP.
on the road to hell, there was a lot of waiting.
she's never early, always late.
these days she never stays for long.
good things come to those who wait.
i'm an outdoor girl.
are you wondering where i've been?
brother, when you're down, you're down.
when you're up, you're up.
let's not talk about hard times.
pour the wine, it's summertime!
right now we're livin' it.
who makes the summer sun shine bright?
who's doing the best she can?
let me tell you something that my mama said to me.
you take what you can get, and you make the most of it.
who says times are hard?
brother, pass that bottle around.
to the patroness of all of this, [ name ]!
ALL I'VE EVER KNOWN.
i was alone so long, i didn't even know that i was lonely.
out in the cold so long, i didn’t even know that i was cold.
this is how it's always been.
all i've ever known is how to hold my own.
now i wanna hold you, too.
for a moment i forget just how dark and cold it gets.
i don't wanna ever have to let you go.
i don't wanna go back to the lonely life.
i knew you before we met and i don’t even know you yet.
all i know is you’re someone i have always known.
say that you’ll hold me forever.
say that we'll stay with each other and it will always be like this.
WAY DOWN HADESTOWN.
that was not six months!
better go and get your suitcase packed.
guess it's time to go.
did you ever wonder what it's like on the underside?
but those who go they don’t come back.
down there, it's a bunch of stiffs.
brother, i'll be bored to death.
gonna have to import some stuff just to entertain myself.
takes a lot of medicine to make it through the wintertime.
where do you think they come from?
an eye for an eye!
you're early.
i missed you.
A GATHERING STORM.
he came too soon.
he came for her too soon.
it's not supposed to be like this.
this is how it is.
hey, where are you going?
touched by the gods is what he was.
i have to finish the song.
finish it quick!
the wind is changing.
there's a storm coming on.
we need food.
we need firewood.
did you hear me? [ name ]?
EPIC II.
his loneliness moves in him, crude and black.
he thinks of his wife in the arms of the sun and jealousy fuels him and feeds him.
with a million hands, he builds a wall.

HADESTOWN. ( 1 / ? ) roleplay starters of anaïs mitchell's hadestown. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
ROAD TO HELL.
once upon a time there was a railroad line.
don't ask where, brother, don't ask when.
it was a world of gods and men.
it's an old song.
it's an old tale from way back when.
there were three old women all dressed the same.
ride that train to the end of the line.
see, someone's got to tell the tale.
it's a sad tale.
it's a tragedy.
don't forget that times are hard.
let me introduce you to a few of them.
his mama was a friend of mine.
it's a love song.
he was touched by the gods themselves.
ANY WAY THE WIND BLOWS.
she was no stranger to the world.
the weather ain't the way it was before.
ain't no spring or fall at all anymore.
it's either blazing hot or freezing cold any way the wind blows.
there ain't a thing that you can do.
do you hear that sound?
ain't nobody gonna stick around when the dark clouds roll.
anybody got a match?
gimme that.
people turn on you just like the wind.
everybody is a fair weather friend.
in the end, you're better off alone.
ain't no length to which a girl won't go.
sometimes you think just to fill your belly full of food.
you know how those muses are.
this poor boy, he wore his heart out on his sleeve.
you might say he was naïve to the ways of the world.
he had a way with words.
and it ain't because i'm kind.
i took him underneath my wing and that is where he stayed until one day…
COME HOME WITH ME.
you wanna talk to her?
[ name ]? don't come on too strong.
come home with me.
who are you?
is he always like this?
your name is like a melody.
oh, a liar, and a player too!
i've met too many men like you.
he's not like any man you've met.
tell her what you're workin' on.
i'm workin' on a song.
i haven't seen a spring or fall since… i can't recall.
oh, he's crazy...
why would i become his wife?
what else ya got?
WEDDING SONG.
who's gonna buy the wedding bands?
times being what they are - hard and getting harder all the time.
lover, when i sing my song all the rivers'll sing along.
the river's gonna give us the wedding bands.
who's gonna lay the wedding table?
so when you sing your song the one you're working on spring will come again?
why don't you sing it then?
it isn't finished.
you wanna take me home?
how'd you do that?
even so, it can do this?
EPIC I.
where'd you get that melody?
i don’t know. it came to me as if i'd known it all along.
you’ve heard that melody before?
remember the tale i told you once about the gods?
i remember now, but that was long ago.
tell it again though.
without her above, not one flower would grow.
the gods sang his song of love.
that was long ago, before we were on this road.

EPIC: THE OCEAN SAGA. roleplay starters of jorge rivera-herrans' 3rd ep of epic: the musical. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
STORM.
these waves and tides have grown in strength and size.
is it nature or divine or a blessing in disguise?
our home's in sight.
there's no time to die.
brace for a storm.
brace for a storm the likes of which we've never seen before.
with home so close, we must keep pushing forward.
head towards the island but avoid the crashing waves.
tread where the tide is flat and then you will be safе.
captain, we will capsize with thesе waves.
i'll ensure that we prevail.
we're taking too much damage to survive.
we'll beat this storm.
at this rate, we won't make it out alive.
what do you have in mind?
we're gonna shoot for the sky.
LUCK RUNS OUT.
please don't tell me you're about to do what i think you'll do.
we're in the home of the wind god.
we don't know for sure.
how many floating islands have you seen before?
and what's your plan?
i'm gonna climb to the top and ask 'em for a hand.
you could be caught off guard and lose your life.
don't forget how dangerous the gods are.
have faith, friend, we've come this far.
yes, but how much longer til your luck runs out?
how much longer 'til the show goes south?
how much longer 'til we all fall down?
you rely on wit and people die on it.
i still believe in goodness.
i still believe that we could be kind.
where is this coming from, my friend?
i just don't wanna see another life end.
and suddenly you doubt that i could figure this out?
thank you for the concern.
our journey is almost done.
i understand that we're tired.
i understand that we're fazed, but don't forget how much we've already faced.
i need to talk to you in private.
i can't have you planting seeds of doubt.
i can't have you disagreeing each route.
KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE.
i don't know if you know this, but our path to home is blocked by an impenetrable storm.
i ask for your assistance.
let's play a game.
if you win, you will get what you're yearning.
all you gotta do is not open this bag.
sounds too easy, what's the catch?
keep your friends close and your enemiеs closer.
never rеally know who you can trust.
'cause the end always justifies the means.
friends turn into foes and rivalries.
captain, what's happening?
let's see what you got.
we cannot let the treasure rumor fly.
sometimes sneaking is a must.
for nine days, i've stayed wide awake.
i can't wait to make some new memories.
time for me to be the father i never was.
why are my eyes and my heart and my soul so heavy?
just keep your eyes open.
why won't you let me?
wake up!
do you know who i am?
RUTHLESSNESS.
in all my years of living, it isn't very often that i get pissed off.
damn, you crossed the line.
i've been so gracious.
i'm left without a choice and without a doubt.
guess the pack of wolves is swimming with the shark now.
i've gotta make you bleed.
i need to see you drown.
ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves.
you are the worst kind of good.
you are the worst kind of good, 'cause you're not even great.
a greek who reeks of false righteousness that's what i hate.
in all my years of living, it isn't very often that i get pissed off.
damn, you crossed the line.
i've been so gracious.
i'm left without a choice and without a doubt.
guess the pack of wolves is swimming with the shark now.
i've gotta make you bleed.
i need to see you drown.
ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves.
you are the worst kind of good.
you are the worst kind of good, 'cause you're not even great.
a greek who reeks of false righteousness that's what i hate.
you fight to save lives but won't kill and don't get the job done.
you totally could have avoided all this.
you are far too nice.
mercy has a price.
it's the final crack, we're about to break the ice now.
unlike you i've got no mercy left to give.
now it is finally time to say goodbye.
today, you die.
we meant no harm.
we only hurt him to disarm him.
we took no pleasure in his pain.
we only wanted to escape.
the line between naïveté and hopefulness is almost invisible.
close your heart, the world is dark.
what have you done?
i am your darkest moment.
any last words?
remember me.

EPIC: THE CYCLOPS SAGA. roleplay starters of jorge rivera-herrans' 2nd ep of epic: the musical. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
POLYPHEMUS.
over here!
look at all this food.
i can't believe this cave has all this for us to keep.
i've gotta hand it to you both, this is quite the treat.
it's almost too perfect.
who are you?
we're just travelers; we come in peace.
what gives you the right to deal a pain so deep?
don't you know that pain you sow is pain you rеap?
your life now is in my hand.
before i'm done, you will learn that it's not so fun to take.
a trade, you see?
there's been a misunderstanding.
we never came here to steal.
now that i see we've done some damage.
maybe you and i can make a deal.
have a drink.
ah, i'd like to thank you.
stranger, what's your name?
my name is nobody.
i'm so glad we see eye to eye.
SURVIVE.
the rest of our fleet, they wait at the beach.
if we're defeated, they’re good as dead.
straight ahead, that is who we're fighting.
our foe must be thwarted right here and now.
show me how great is your will to survive.
it's just one life to take.
when we kill him then our journey’s over.
no dying on me now.
defeat is not allowed.
we must live through this day, so fight.
attack from behind, keep distance in mind.
strike his heels, strike the heels.
don't let him get close; he's strong but he's slow.
he can't land a blow if we're out of reach.
push forward!
he's got a club!
what are our orders?
you've hurt me enough.
you won't live through this day.
REMEMBER THEM.
we must move quickly; we don't have much time.
he didn't notice i mixed lotus in his wine.
mark my words now, this is not the end.
what'll we do with our fallen friends?
remember them when the fire begins to fade.
we are not to let them die in vain.
this is how we're getting out of here.
let's kill him!
if we kill him we'll be stuck inside.
now! scatter!
who hurts you?
there are more of them?
captain, we should run!
have you forgotten the lessons i taught you?
the blood we shed, it never dries.
is this what it means to be a warrior of the mind?
when we met, i led with peace.
i am neither man nor mythical.
I am your darkest moment.
MY GOODBYE.
you were reckless, sentimental at best.
you’ve grown soft. your dead friends can attest.
put your emotions aside.
you're a warrior meant to lead the rest.
i don't know where i went wrong.
this way, when all is over you'll keep yours and i'll keep mine.
this way, you won't waste my time.
consider this as my goodbye.
that’s just likе you, why should i be surprised?
unlike you, every time someone dies, i'm left to deal with the strain.
i'll remind you i saw you as a friend, but now we're done.
you're not looking for a mentor.
i'm not looking for a friend.
i mistook you for a general.
what a waste of effort spent.
at least i know what i'm fighting for.
since you claim you're so much wiser, why's your life spent all alone?
one day, you'll hear what i'm saying.
one day, you might understand.
for after all you're, you're just a man.
this day, you sever your own head.
this is my goodbye.

EPIC: THE TROY SAGA. roleplay starters of jorge rivera-herrans' 1st ep of epic: the musical. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
THE HORSE AND THE INFANT.
alright, my brothers, listen closely.
ten years of war they killed us slowly.
think of your wives and your children.
they're growing old and yet you're still here.
do what i say and you'll see them again.
find that inner strength now.
use that well of pride.
fight through every pain now.
what do you live for?
what do you try for?
what do you wish for?
what do you fight for?
i fight for us.
i'm on my way.
who was that?
a vision of what is to come, cannot be outrun, can only be dealt with right here and now.
tell me how.
i don't think you're ready.
say no more, i know that i'm ready.
what sort of imminent threat does he pose that i can not avoid?
if you don't end him now you'll have no one left to save.
you can say goodbye to [ name ].
he'll find you wherever you go.
the gods will make it known.
this is the will of the gods.
the blood on your hands is something you won't lose.
JUST A MAN.
will these actions haunt my days?
close your eyes and spare yourself the view.
how could i hurt you?
i'm just a man who's fighting for his life.
i would trade the world to see my son and wife.
whеn does a man become a monster?
when does a ripple become a tidal wave?
forgive me.
i'm just a man.
FULL SPEED AHEAD.
but the problem's not the distance, it's what lies in between
full speed ahead.
we've run out of supplies to eat.
captain, what's the plan?
we're up, we're off, and away we go.
i see a light that faintly glows.
something feels off here.
i say we strike first, we don't have time to waste.
you and i'll go ahead.
we should try to find a way no one ends up dead.
we don't know what's ahead.
OPEN ARMS.
you can relax, my friend.
i can tell you're getting nervous, so do yourself a service, and try to relax, my friend.
think of all that we have been through; we'll survive what we get into.
tell me, is this how we're supposed to live?
i know that you're tired of the war and bloodshed.
why should we take when we could give?
give it a try, it's not that hard.
this life is amazing when you greet it with open arms.
whatever we face, we'll be fine if we're leading from the heart.
we're only here for food.
if we don't get back safely, my men will turn this place into blazes.
here you go.
my friend, i wish that i could say that i agree.
it's a lotus, it controls your mind and never lets you free.
i'd like to show my friend that kindness is brave.
could you tell me where there's other food to eat?
there is so much guilt inside your heart.
WARRIOR OF THE MIND.
have you forgotten the lessons i taught you?
this is not you.
have you forgotten your purpose? let me remind you.
maybe one day he'll follow me and wе'll make a greater tomorrow.
i know he'll change the world.
he is a warrior of the mind.
show yourself, i know you're watching me.
i can see you.
how can you see through my spell?
i was lying and you fell for my bluff!
well done. enlighten me, what's your name?
you first and maybe i'll do the same.
nice try, but two can play this game.
if you're looking for a mentor, i'll make sure your time's well spent.
we'll see where it ends.
don't disappoint me.

MAN-O-WAR. roleplay starters of fish in a birdcage's album man-o-war. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
we shout at the sea.
these fish won't have our company.
not while we breathe.
the blackjack we drink steadies the hand.
our blood is as strong as the man-o-war.
left a bonny young lass back in my town.
if the tall clouds are flat, ya scurry along.
the old man was stubborn as he is quick.
i've never dreamed this moment had transpired.
i feel the high tide.
if you think this is all there is, well, look deeper inside.
letting go can expand the space we've always occupied.
takes time and willingness to pausе and be still.
the key was not to try but to release and say goodbye.
don't want to leave.
the forest breathes and grows with you.
these chains are anchored to a kind of cloud.
deep inside a trench no light can reach, you might find the skull of a ship that was breached.
captain of the ship has nothing but time.
we formed a plan.
you showed me dreams i couldn't conceive.
gasping, i found it was so hard to breathe.
you calmed my nerves more than i deserved.
i hardly moved yet i soared through.
what i can say is that warmth you gave cleared the mountains of thoughts from my mind.
we might just sit to take in the colors of fall.
we can still go back through these photos.
we were once kids holding both hands in the night.
you are everything to me.
he sought his own reputation.
there was barely light from the lantern that was lit.
guys, come, you really need to see this.
our voyage is righteous.
either we live or we die.
our forearms are strengthened by timber and heat.
hunger in your eyes will bring us there.
now we're the kings of our kind.
it's a wave two miles high.
maybe we weren't meant to see clues below the dirt.
it's a shiny, brand new way to lose your reality.
you don't have to run this race.
it's okay to stand aside.
things can change on a dime.
you might not prepare in time.
we don't last very long.
we live life anyways.
like a stream that has carved its own path, we must do the same.
i thought you said that you have a mission.
i thought you said that you knew your purpose.
oh, it's not too late.
if it feels right, fill up your page and make up your own mind.
have you been wasting your time?
live your goddamn life.
we live life our way.

WATERFALL. roleplay starters of fish in a birdcage's album waterfall. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
that's where we found it.
we found it underneath that waterfall.
the water was so loud.
those rocks were kind of slippery.
i'm glad that you were holding on to me.
i could see your lips were trembling.
in that dark place i felt something.
what i felt surely was a spark.
a perfect place to rеst our bones.
how did you trap those fireflies?
all the girls love him.
ah, he's hard to forget.
there's more people dancing than i've ever seen.
a man made of gold grew up on these streets.
i know him quite well.
when he starts rambling, i find it's funny as hell.
well, some people leave.
that's just his cup of tea.
if he offends you, well, that's just his cup of tea.
the days are hot, the days are long.
no, i'm not innocent.
no, i'm not innocent and i would do it all again.
the devil earned his sin.
i'll never forgive him.
i'll never forget.
i'll never forgive him for what he did.
i used to be a gambler at the crack of noon.
he tried to take my life.
but that son of a bitch, the roach of a man, drew his gun and changed my plans.
they work me to the bone.
if i could choose a new beginning, i'd wanna be a famous actor.
would all of those eyes start to get to me?
would those sleepless nights start to get to me?
would i lose sight of who i was raised to be?
i wouldn't know; i'll never know.
he's been lazy.
it's driving me crazy.
maybe he should get a job.
it's been useless.
he never hears me.
he just sits there in front of the tv giving his whole life away.
maybe i don't want to stay.
i think she hates me.
she just never seems to quit.
do this, do that.
where's the respect at?
it's not my fault we're not able to buy the things we both want.
man, i love that girl. she is my whole world.
i needed a break from the rat race.
my body just can't handle it.
i always come back with the same old lines.
i'm tryin' to be as individual as you.
you have raised the bar so high that i can't reach it.
i'm now aware of incompleteness.
that's fine, it's all fine.
if you are the water, then i want to taste it.
if you are a human, then i am desire.
where'd you get the energy to be that spicy?
maybe i’ve known you just a little too long.
i can really start to see you're rubbing off on me.
our relationship might be a little bit strong.
I been taking on some traits that I don't wanna be.
it's been a long ride, that's right.
i just find i'm starting to collide with what you say, and that's okay.
i'm feeling gravity on the backslide.
when did we start looking we were dressed by some proud older parents trying to impress?
our color coordination is truly canny.
we'vе been amigos now for how many years?
it's a blurry tipsy-turny world that's out there.
don't be ashamed, you got game.
i'm on your side, it's alright.
i'm feeling blessed by a curse.
my heart's a mess, my head is worse.
with so much love, why is there pain?
i guess sometimes they're one and the same.
i have no doubts; i know what i want.
what will she choose?
i'll have to see if i am worth her company.
i never wanted to sleep.
oh, i won't forget.
memento mori leaves a debt.
my brain was cynical inside this massive hole and then it swallowed me.
can't remember my own name.
i'm tied and bound, a wild beast crying for release.
if this tree could talk what would it say?
you’ve lived a long life, my friend.
you’ve seen better days, i’m sure.

THROUGH THE TIDES. roleplay starters of fish in a birdcage's album through the tides. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
he thought i would change.
as i rose from the ashes, i embraced his rage.
fear has unleashed this storm.
the fire spread throughout my bones and stayed.
i'm aware of the madness that has stained our air.
i paint all the darkness.
i've been searching for a change.
maybe just a little bit of strange is what i need to embrace.
i'm finding there's just way too much to do.
so much to see, too much to choose.
maybe i'll just ride it like a wave.
too much caffeine can't shut off my mind.
i'm sure that you can relate.
it's hard to find peace in this day and age.
we try our very best to live day by day.
who needs rulеs?
use them as you please.
i have started to believe that fate is always chasing me.
i won't let it tear me down.
i was content with second place.
yes, it's true.
i planned a trip to outer space.
there was a time where i stayed safe from outside.
i thought i would be stronger.
my nights are so much longer.
you left my heart no choice.
you stopped my breath and i couldn't look away.
take me with you.
take me with you to the other side.
undress your truth in my bedroom.
you were a wanderer back when you were young.
i remember your eyes were clear, brighter than the sun.
i could only lead you so far.
i believe in who you are.
take the world by storm.
you are a child of the stars.
use the power in your lungs.
i want to live with passion in my eyes.
am i brave enough?
i'm gonna risk it all.
i wish we spoke with silver in our tongue.
i've never seen a storm this fierce.
i'm feeling rather small in here.
hold me closely, don't let go.
i need to calm down.
i've never heard a crash that loud.
i swear it tore right through the ground.
and so, we set sail.
we set sail to the sea on the back of a whale.
she's a blade that glides through the tides.
she moves just like a ghost.
i trust you.
i trust you, my dear.
i trust you to carry me home.

FISH IN A BIRDCAGE. roleplay starters of fish in a birdcage's self - titled fish in a birdcage. feel free to edit according to scenario / pronouns.
there is magic in this room.
i don't know if you can see it.
some call it love.
i believe in myself.
i believe that we can make it.
i believe in all of you.
i believe that we can make this.
pass it along.
i'm just the messenger.
i wanna speak to your soul.
this is our conversation starter.
this is larger than the both of us.
you can't kill an idea.
[ name ], please come in.
there's someone that i need to talk to.
honey, how have you been?
i miss you, my dear.
there's something that i have to say.
all i need is to come home to you.
all i want is to be close to you.
all i want is to be with you.
it's good to hear your voice.
i'll tell you what the world looks like from up here.
please stay safe and warm till i get to you.
oh, my dear, will you believe in me?
can you see the moon lit up above?
i'm here for you if you want me to be the attention of your love.
we lit a flame just to watch it burn.
have we lost our roots, our ties to the earth?
what i have seen has made me believe.
we've buried ourself in paperwork instead of planting trees.
kick back, relax.
buddy, don’t have a heart attack.
what's the harm in wanting to play some good tunes?
it's your loss, not mine.
we just wanted to improve the lives of all those people trapped inside.
it's in our heads!
why can't you see?
every day felt exactly the same.
i'm a fish inside a birdcage.
my brother always sings me songs.
he makes me feel that i belong.
he has a wild imagination and tells me things that must be true.
carry me from these walls.
show me the world outside.
it has to be true.
i'm counting on you.
i'm counting on you to be my wings and my eyes.
there's a voicе that comforts me.
we feel each rock so differently.
you gave me more than i could ask for.
