if you're on other social media platforms, i'm sure you've seen then many times by now, but here are the first four sets of transformers one tarot cards that i've sketched, in order of creation! final two sets here

i didn't expect to get this far because it began as something to ease boredom lol, but people liked them so i continued. also, i'm so sorry for the tags lol

here are some color drafts for the tarot cards. some cards like the hanged man, the world, and the emperor will be reworked again in another draft, but the others managed to look quite nice both in cmyk and rgb!

*takes the pickles* Welcome to my incredibly subjective presentation about character design in Earthspark. Today’s topic - half of those robots are bald.

First of all. These robots are normal. Look at them. The metal of their helmets has thickness to it. Their eyes are close to the hairline(helm..line?) Their helmets are also “wrapped” around them in the way that covers their cheeks. Those are good good nice designs. I love to see them. They look healthy.

And then we have. I don’t know. This??⬇️ Like girl who shaved you??? Where’s all the metal?? Her helm is as thin as a foil and there’s no pieces covering her cheeks?? There’s also huge empty space above her eyes that LOOKS like there must be eyebrows but it’s empty? That is so uncanny

Now when I’m done complaining explaining. Let me just. Let me just show you my vision. Let me just tweak those designs a little bit so they don’t look bald.

I just gave their helmets the same things I was describing above. Some volume and thickness to the metal. Metal plates covering their cheeks. And a bit of shadows above their eyes because bruh either give them eyebrows or don’t leave THAT much weird empty space

In case of Nightshade I went a little further and gave them a bit of ornaments. Because they don’t look like owl when they’re in their root mode. They look like fish. Am I the only one who sees that? Idk. Anyway

I never watched Cyberverse is this accurate, yes or most definitely? First time fully drawing any of these fools too… shoutout to them ig. CV Soundrod so goofy. It’s like loser x loser to me and I think that’s beautiful really 😌

Only excuses spill from your mouth, because you are Ratchet, and Ratchet doesn't talk about those things. "That's not any of your concern," you snap instead. It's hard to miss the disappointed expression on Miko's face. You turn away and get to work.

because look at the parallels i guess. but imagine megop in that situation. if you understand what i mean </3

like ough. and i just chose ratchet for the snippet i wrote (note: hi, editor asterlith here—i wrote this like months ago so i think that's what i meant by my vague note) because. literally no one interacts with soundwave voluntarily lmao but actually i think it would be cool to switch pov every chapter or so. because yes. and the entire story's just parallels between their thoughts, experiences, whatever.
