SCHWEIDEN ALDERS AND WHAT KIND OF DOGS THEY WOULD HAVE

notes; i previously did an MSBY version of this, again, just for laughs, and since i’m bored and have a few minutes, i’m making a totally unrequested second part!

USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI - would TOTALLY have a big dog. I have no doubt that you would see him on his morning run with this massive dog that reaches his hips, unknowingly scaring all children (and, to be honest, some adults,) with his monster of a dog. That being said, he pegs me as a guy who owns a Mastiff! Not only is it a large dog breed, but it’s pretty buffed and built as well, perfectly matching Ushijima. He honestly lives up to the rumor that people resemble their dogs at least a bit. 

HOSHIUMI KOURAI - would own a golden retriever. I wanted to give him so small yappy dog but I may be a bit...biased with that. He’s always eager to impress (so his dog should be too!) and he loves to show off all the tricks he’s taught the dog. He likes having a dog that’s energetic, and the golden retriever is perfect for that! 

KAGEYAMA TOBIO - would have a Siberian Husky. I honestly don’t have any reason for it...like...it’s just my gut feeling?? They just give off the same vibes idk- maybe it’s the blue eyes in all the photos I find? It’s a match made in heaven and you can’t tell me other wise. He would also love showing his dog off to other people!

PRETTY SETTER SQUAD WITH AN OVERWORKED S/O

notes; Just like- they know you’re stressed maybe it’s work, maybe it’s school, doesn’t really matter but they know that you’re tired and being overworked. This is how they try and get you to relax and let your worries slip away, at least for a moment.

SUGAWARA KOUSHI

──➤ This man will do anything for you <3 he’s such a saint but at the same time if you don’t take a break he’s gonna drag you away from your desk and forcefully bring you to a spa or smth. 

──➤ He begs you to take one day off to spend with him and when you finally agree, he brings you to your favorite places, including getting your favorite food for lunch.

──➤ After that, he brings you home, and as soon as you get through the door he’s stuffing cucumbers on your eyes and some, admittedly cheap, drug store face mask. It’s the thought that counts though, right?

──➤ He tries his best to keep you from thinking of your work by keeping you off your phone all he can. He even gives you a nice back massage to keep you from getting up and checking your email. 

──➤ If your nice day off hasn’t cheered you up even a bit, just seeing how much he cares for you does. 

OIKAWA TOORU

──➤ He has the great idea of a date night. You guys haven’t had those for a while and he knows that if he just comes out and tells you to take a break, you’ll be stubborn and just work even harder.

──➤ He whines and whines and you finally cave in. He decides that you’ll both see a movie together. You’ve been wanting to see it for a month now but had never found the time to.

──➤ The movie’s fun and when you leave, you’re bouncing off the walls with excitement. He thinks you look so sweet raving on about how the movie was so well made and asking him over and over what his favorite scene was. 

──➤ You both take a cab home and on the way there, you finally start to come down from your high and loose energy. 

──➤ Oikawa, like a knight in shining armor is there to lend you his shoulder to nap on. 

──➤ He helps you up to your room, makes sure you clean off any makeup you may have on, and brush your teeth, he knows you’re tired but hygiene is an important part of taking care of yourself. 

──➤ When you finally get into bed, you’re asleep within the blink of an eye. Oikawa smiles lovingly at you and wishes that he could maybe every day like this, one without stress and work. He knows he can’t, but he’s happy he could at least help you today. 

KAGEYAMA TOBIO

──➤ He does not understand. He cares so much for you and it hurts him so much to see you suffer. 

──➤ He also doesn’t really know how to go about helping you through. He’s always been very on top of his self-care routine, he always wants to be in top shape for his games. 

──➤ When he confronts you about it- it comes out a bit weird. Something along the lines of, “You should take care of yourself more. It’s stupid not to, you’re just hurting yourself and I’m worried for you, idiot.” 

──➤ Like yeah you got your point across and were sweet but could’ve worded that better sweetie. <3 

──➤ You get what he says though and promise him that you’ll try your hardest, but it would be nice if he could keep doing what he’s doing and keep you on your toes.

──➤ He takes this so literally- throughout the week he has reminders for you to take a break from work and he is so diligent in keeping track if you’ve eaten three meals and had eight cups of water a day. 

KENMA KOZUME 

──➤ Kenma thinks you’re a bit of a hypocrite. You try to lecture him about his bad habits but then you never take care of yourself. 

──➤ You tell him not to have his computer brightness so high, but here you are, in bed with your laptop doing work, while you should be sleeping. Why are you getting mad at him for not eating healthy when you’re over here living on coffee.

──➤ It’s gotten to the point where he’s genuinely concerned for you. He doesn’t know exactly how to get the point across to you but he wants to do it quick. 

──➤ He sets his plan into action and starts doing the same things as you. You’re quick to pick up on him doing so and confront him about it.

──➤ You ask why he hasn’t been taking care of himself better and right when you think you’ve won, he reveals his secret and now you can’t deny the truth.

──➤ He makes you take off a weekend and you both go on a small vacation to a cabin. It’s a challenge for both of you, as you’re both very much addicted to technology and don’t have the best self-care routines. 

──➤ But you care for each other and make sure to keep the other on top of their game. 

AKAASHI KEIJI

──➤ I think Akaashi would notice pretty early on what’s happening. You just don’t seem as passionate about stuff anymore and you’ve been slower the last few days. 

──➤ He doesn’t want to say anything just yet but he tries to observe what’s going on with you and does his best to make your day better. 

──➤ When he’s sure that you’re close to burning out, he knows he has to step in.

──➤ He sits you down and talks with you about what’s been going on. He doesn’t want to make you feel like he’s mad at you or it’s your fault in any way, he just wants you to hear his concerns and know that he cares about you. 

──➤ He comforts you a bit when you go on a small rant about what’s been going on at work/school lately and he listens to you carefully, taking it all in. 

──➤ He tries to help you if you want him to but if you just need him to sit there and support you, he will. He just wants what’s best for you in the end.

MSBY AND WHAT KIND OF DOGS THEY WOULD HAVE

notes; this is purely my opinion and projecting my love of dogs onto them but ahhhhh imagine meeting them in the park and petting their dog and then I stg I would marry them cause perfect package? Hot guy and a dog all in one.

HINATA SHOYOU ─ Would have a Labrador Retriever. Not just any one though, no, he someone ends up with the largest lab you have EVER SEEN. He claims that because his dog is so big it means he’s somehow ‘taller at heart’ even though the dog actually just makes him seem smaller. 

BOKUTO KOUTAROU ─ Would have a Corgi. He probably saw one of those popular pet accounts with a corgi and immediately claimed he needed one. He picked it up from the animal shelter along with Akaashi, who wanted a say in the dog since it would basically would be his as well, and went home with the cutest one he could find. He would probably name the dog something like ace because...well, you know why. 

MIYA ATSUMU ─ Okay, so I think Atsumu would get a Bernese Mountain Dog. I just think it fits him. When Atsumu got the dog, he actually got it for two reasons, he was lonely in his apartment by himself, and he claimed he would get so many more girls with one. Sadly though, he didn’t do much research into what type of dog he was getting, and it’s SO LAZY? Like he can barely get it to play fetch with him before it wants to lay down and snooze. Another thing that goes wrong for him is that his dog is weirdly attracted to Osamu whenever he comes over (it’s because he smells like food, but Osamu won’t bring that up. He has too much fun watching his twin whine about how his dog doesn’t love him.) 

SAKUSA KIYOOMI ─ I cannot see this man with anything but a Great Dane. Just a sleek black one would just FIT HIM SO WELL?? I imagine that he would always keep them properly groomed and he could have his outfit matched to their collars and ah! I feel like he’d have two of them and whenever atsumu comes around he’d ‘release’ them onto him. Of course they’re trained and won’t actually do anything but Atsumu doesn’t need to know that. He’s the guy you’d see in the park, casually walking his two dogs in all black clothes while turning everyone’s clothes.

LITTLE THINGS THEY DO

notes; Just fluff- all fluff. I love them all so much it makes my heart go uwu. These vary from habits to things they do to show their love. It’s just the whole works.

USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI ─ Okay I know we all think of this man as a farmer and stuff and I’m gonna indulge that a bit. I just think that Tendou or someone else on the team would get him some plants as a bit of a gag gift and he takes care of them like they are his real children. But like- he either gives them too much fertilizer cause he wants them to be ‘strong’ or he puts to little or too much water in. Anyways, they end up dying on him and he is heartbroken. When Tendou realizes what happened and tries to get him some new plants he refuses to take them and calls himself a ‘murderer’ while claiming they’re not safe around him. 

OIKAWA TOORU ─ Does the same basic pose for every picture. If you go onto and of his social media it’s always him doing some sort a peace sign. His fans eat it up though and he loves to shove it in iwaizumi’s face, saying that he should learn from the ‘master’ of social media. 

SUGAWARA KOUSHI ─ tidies your room and apartment when he knows you’ve been struggling or stressed with work or school. He has the tendency to leave little sticky notes around with compliments and reminders which really shows off his ‘elementary teacher’ side. 

HINATA SHOUYOU ─  He ‘subtly’ brags about his s/o I am one hundred percent certain. It’s not just kept to them though, he just loves to show off what he has and what he’s accomplished but If he’s at a party or high school reunion you feel like you’re his item at show and tell. He’ll talk about your work and your accomplishments like they’re his own. He’s super proud of you and wants everyone to see how amazing you are.  

MIYA OSAMU ─ He feeds you...everything. You are his guinea pig for any new dish he makes, not that you mind really, it’s usually delicious. The problem starts when you eat out or get something not homemade by him. He feels betrayed in a way and with ‘guilt’ you into going out less. Don’t get him wrong, he’s not actually upset about it but just know that he’ll be stepping up his cooking in the days following. 

SAKUSA KIYOOMI ─ He likes ironing clothes. I don’t know but he just really enjoys it? It’s calming and then boom, his clothes are night and neat. When you first started dating him and then eventually moved in with him, you’d find it weird how he’d come home from practice and iron his clothes. When you offered to do it so he could rest, he refused and just continued with his work. It’s gotten to the point where you’ll leave your clothes near the board after his games just in case he decides to do his stress relief ritual. 

KAGEYAMA TOBIO ─ OKAY OKAY. So like milk Kageyama best Kageyama! Imagine you’re celebrating a win or him getting into the japan team and you go out to this fancy restaurant. You think he’s gonna get some fancy drink, beer, wine, anything. He disproves your theory though and asks the waiter, quite awkwardly I might add, if they have any milk. You try and keep your giggles quiet as you order your own drink and Kageyama looks at you as if what he just did was the most normal thing in the world. 

KENMA KOZUME ─   You’ve been dating for a year now and every single game you play together, you have coordinating usernames and skins. He’ll put your Minecraft beds together so when he kills you for stealing his diamonds, you’ll still respond next to him </3.  It started out with you just finding things to match his but as time goes on he feels weird not matching with you. 

KUROO TETSUROU ─  He doesn’t cuddle you when you guys go to bed. The first night you guys spent at the others house, you expected it to be all romantic and fall asleep in each other arms but once it’s time to sleep, he turns over and shoves his head between his pillows. You’re just sitting there, being jealous of a pillow for the rest of the night before begrudgingly going to bed. You bet you’ll be having a talk with him in the morning. 

AKAASHI KEJIJI ─ Upstages you at every Christmas and birthday. He’s just so observant?? You could have glanced at something in a store once five months ago and he would have remembered it and got it for you. It’s not that you’re bad at gift giving, he loves everything you get him and never brings it up, but you can’t help but try and upscale him every time you need to buy him a gift.

H. IWAIZUMI CARING FOR A SICK READER

notes; i love this man so much. you honestly have no idea how much i just stay up at night thinking about him. he is the perfect husband, boyfriend, friend, just anything. 

──➤ Okay so imagine you’ve been with Iwaizumi for a good few months, you know that your relationship is serious but you’re still navigating the whole ‘dating’ thing. 

──➤  You’ve come down with an awful flu. You’re basically bedridden and even if you weren’t, Iwaizumi insists you rest all you can. 

──➤ In the morning, he made you some tea and took care of all your needs. He wouldn’t leave you alone but you didn’t mind being pampered a bit. 

──➤ He had to go into work for the morning, but he promised he would be home at noon. 

──➤ You spent most of your time scrolling through your phone and doing some work on your laptop (not really), and periodically getting a ten minute nap in before waking up with a stuffy nose and not being able to breathe. 

──➤ You started to get worried around one. He hadn’t come home yet and you couldn’t do much by yourself in your current state.

──➤ After messaging him a few times you fell into another nap, this one lasting more than just ten minutes. 

──➤ You’re woken up by the sound of the front door opening and you basically hop out of the blankets to see who it is.

──➤ Of course you know it’s Iwaizumi. 

──➤ His eyes widen at you barreling down the hall, legs wobbly and snot dripping out your nose. 

──➤ Though he wants to scold you for getting out of bed and using so much energy, your cute smile wins him over and he wraps his arms around you, letting you lean on him. 

──➤ He tells you that he ended up having to do some extra work and that he was late. He tried to call you a few times but oops, guess you didn’t answer.

──➤ When you peek around him and onto the floor near the door, you see a bag full of your favorite snacks and some cold medicine. 

──➤ He admits that he was worried about you and wanted you to feel better so he stopped on the way home to pick some stuff up. 

──➤ After you exchange a few words, he remembers that you’re supposed to be resting and without a word, grabs the bag and you, hoisting you up into his hold. 

──➤ Once you’re laid back in bed, he makes you drink the medicine and leaves you to your own devices for a bit. 

──➤ After about fifteen minutes the medicine has ‘gotten’ to you and you’re a bit loopy.

──➤ The apartment you share is filled with you whining and demanding Iwaizumi to come and take care of you.

──➤ he begrudgingly submits to this and slinks back to the bedroom, only to see you sitting on the edge of the bed excitedly. 

──➤ he glances next to you and sees the covers throw up. Before he can process you’re reaching out and grabbing at him, patting at the space next to you. 

──➤ “Pleeeeease! Come cuddle with me, it’ll make me get better faster,” you’re basically begging him.

──➤ While he wants nothing more than to come and relax with you, he needs to make sure you actually get better and he doesn’t get sick as well.

──➤ He leaves you to go back to the kitchen and make some soup. He hopes that maybe this will get him back into your good graces. 

──➤ Before he can do this though, the sound of you calling his name distracts him. He sighs and slips into the room, only to see you with your hands over your face. 

──➤ “Hajime! Can you pretty pretty please get me a wet towel. My head hurts a lot,” your voice is soft and he quickly rushes to the bathroom to soak a towel in nice hot water. 

──➤ When he comes back to the room he expects to hand you the towel and leave but before he can turn around, you’re tugging at his arm in attempt to get him to come lay down with you.

──➤ He considers his options and in the end, he lets you pull him onto the bed

──➤ Key word is he lets you. He finds it hard to keep a straight face as you attempt to pull him. He’s stronger than you on a regular basis but this sickly version of you is laughable at best. 

──➤ He lets you snuggle into him and scoffs and whatever random praises and compliments you half-consciously shower him with. 

──➤ Thankfully you slip into a deep sleep and Iwaizumi tries to get up to leave.

──➤ Right before he thinks he’s in the clean you shift and drape your arm over him, trapping him in place.

──➤ He decides that a nap would probably do him well and in the end you both blackout till morning. 

──➤ Sadly, Iwaizumi is right and in the end, he ended up getting sick as well.

──➤ Good thing you’re there to return the favor.

synopsis; when your local movie theatre announced that they would be running a one night only Godzilla movie marathon, you already knew you would be going with your boyfriend, Iwaizumi. What you didn’t account for was his date crashing friend who claimed he could ‘steal your man’. 

You went into your relationship with the knowledge of the odd interest your boyfriend had. When you had met him, you thought the only things you’d have to fight for his attention would be volleyball and Oikawa. You were sadly mistaken though, there was one more boss to fight before you could finally claim the status of “Iwa-chan’s favourite.” Godzilla was always present within your life. It was like you could never escape it. It had to be the worst during Iwaizumi’s birthday and Christmas. Anyone who knew him would get him something Godzilla related, gag gift or not. Even you gave in to the trend and bought him his signature Godzilla phone case.

All in all, he was a man who was obsessed with the scaly monster. You could never understand the hype but hey, if it made him happy, what were you to say? You’d only start having complaints if he started cuddling his Godzilla body pillow instead of you. 

When you saw the advertisement pop up on your Twitter line, you counted down the minutes until Iwaizumi started begging you frantically to go with him. In the end, it took him under ten minutes to be on his knees and ‘convincing’ you to go, aka bringing up the fact you’d get movie popcorn if you went. 

To be frank, you didn’t have any reservations about going in the first place. You knew how much your boyfriend would love for you to go and seeing him happy was all the reason you needed. When you could finally get a breath in between his flustered rambling, you ruffled his hair and agreed to go. 

On the day of the movie, you both woke up early. It was a Saturday morning, so neither of you had work and could sleep it fairly late. The movies would start just after five and would stretch until after midnight, so you knew it was better to dress with comfort in mind. 

Everything seemed fine when you left. You were sitting in the passenger seat and he was driving. It was usually a ten-minute drive to the theatre, so you scrolled through your phone for most of it. You started getting suspicions when you noticed that you were not going in direction of the theatre. You cast a side glance at Iwaizumi, who held no reaction at all and just kept his eyes on the road. You shrugged and figured he had made some sort of the wrong turn or thought he could take a shortcut that didn’t exist.

Unfortunately, by the time you pieced together what was happening, it was too late. It seemed the thought that this would be a date slipped your boyfriend’s mind and he thought it smart to invite his oblivious, albeit sweet, friend Oikawa. 

“Iwa-chan! I was worried you two had forgotten about me,” he walked to the car with a slight skip in his step. It reminded you of a little kid trying to waddle to their friends when they couldn’t yet stand on their own.

He slipped into the backseat of the car and leaned forward between Iwaizumi and yourself. He attempted to wrap his arms around both of your shoulders, but Iwaizumi gave him a stern look and he quickly went to sit down properly.

“Ah, finally the gang is back together. You shouldn’t keep your girlfriend from me, Iwa-chan!" You loved Oikawa’s company most days. He kept Iwaizumi on his toes and allowed you to see a different side of him. While Iwaizumi grounded Oikawa, the latter seemed to have the opposite effect. Oikawa could get Iwaizumi to loosen up more and relax. Sure, you could do so as well, but it wasn’t the same bond the two best friends had. 

You loved Oikawa’s company when you weren’t trying to have a romantic date night with Iwaizumi. You weren’t mad or anything, you were just kinda bummed that you wouldn’t be able to sneak a kiss from your boyfriend during the movie without Oikawa pointing it out or making some sort of ‘deal’ out of it. 

It took around fifteen minutes to get to the movie theatre and when you got there, Iwaizumi rushed out of the driver’s seat. You laughed under your breath and followed behind him towards the entrance. Both of you failed to notice the whining Oikawa behind you, telling you to wait up. Iwaizumi was too distracted with the thought of what movies they would play and in what order, while you were just taking up the rare sight of your boyfriend fanboying.

“Rude much. You were the one who invited me out, Iwa-chan! You should at least wait for me to get out of the car.” You thought of apologizing to Oikawa, but before you did, you noticed the mockingly playful smirk on his face. You sighed and turned back around to the building. Even after a year of dating, you still weren’t exactly accustomed to the humour the pair of best friends shared. On multiple occasions, before you got to know Iwaizumi and in turn Oikawa, you had genuinely misjudged their banter for fighting. It was only after you went to a meetup with some of their old team that you really ‘understood’ them. 

The warmth that hit you when you entered the building was a breath of fresh air, and you unzipped your jacket and put on your mask as soon as you could. You looked behind you to see the pair still ‘bickering’ between themselves, Oikawa claiming that he looked better in a mask that Iwaizumi did. You smiled at them and waited for them to catch up with you so you could get in line for tickets and popcorn. While you were still a bit irked at Iwaizumi for leading you to think this would be some romantic night, you were quick to forgiveness after seeing the look of pure joy painted on his face. 

“Three tickets for the Godzilla marathon, three medium popcorns, three medium drinks-” he paused, looking back to you and Oikawa to see what you wanted to drink. You asked for water and Oikawa told him to ‘surprise’ him- “Pepsi, seven up, and then water.” You watched Oikawa’s face contort in anger. You giggled silently along with Iwaizumi, who had a proud smirk dawning on his face. You knew the Pepsi was for him, he lived on the stuff even though he would yell at people he trained for drinking it, which meant the seven up was supposedly for Oikawa. The only problem with that was Oikawa despised seven up and any sort of sparkling water. Not that he didn’t like carbonated drinks, he just had some weird picky problem with the specific drink. Iwaizumi of course knew this and decided the few seconds of pride in his prank would outweigh Oikawa whining for the rest of the night. 

“Sometimes I wonder if you’re a sadist, Iwa-chan,” he turned to you, “I’m so sorry for you, y/n. It’s hard, isn’t it?” You blush at what Oikawa implies in his words and turn away to pick up your food and drink. While you walk away towards the theatre, you can hear Oikawa yelp and know that Iwaizumi gave him a good hit in the head. You loved Oikawa, as a friend of course, but you wondered how Iwaizumi was able to handle him for all his life. 

“They say that the movies will be going on until tomorrow. It shocks me how many movies were able to be made about one monster.” You make small talk on your way to your assigned theatre. You all find your seats easily as they’re all socially distanced and not many spaces are taken up. You settle down with Iwaizumi in the middle and you on his left, leaving Oikawa to his right. 

“If it gets scary you’ll hold me right, Iwa-chan?” Oikawa coos and sends you a wink over your boyfriend’s back. Now here was what you were expecting. You knew that Oikawa and Iwaizumi were only friends, and you that if he had to choose between Oikawa and yourself romantically, he’d pick you, but Oikawa still seemed to enjoy ‘making you jealous’ which had never worked in the slightest. 

“Sure, sure. Whatever you want.” He wasn't paying attention when he responded, but that didn’t seem to deter Oikawa, who smirked at you and winked playfully. You raised your eyebrows and went to respond, but as you did, the lights faded into darkness and the previews started playing. 

Throughout the first movie, everything was as normal. If there was an especially gory or ‘scary’ scene in the movie you’d hold on to Iwaizumi and Oikawa would do the same, earning a glare from him. As the second and third movie came around, you became impatient and went for another drink run for yourself and the boys. Oikawa begged you to get him a ‘drink that won’t poison me’ and you obliged. 

When you got back, you found Iwaizumi leaned forward in his seat and Oikawa leaning slightly onto his shoulder. You sighed and scooted past them as silently as you could. You rolled your eyes at your boyfriend who was now ignoring you for Godzilla and Oikawa of all people. 

When you finally reached the seventh movie of the night, and the last movie, it was a sight to behold. The two of them were leaning into each other on the edge of their seats, and it looked more like they were on a date than you. When the final credits rolled and the lights came back on you waited for the two to say something. It stayed quiet for a moment and you went ahead and clean up the trash. A few seconds after, you heard a high-pitched scream from Oikawa and a grunt from your boyfriend. 

You turn to see Oikawa halfway into the next row and Iwaizumi wide-eyed and looking back at you. “Why did you let me cuddle with that asshole?” he talked as if you had betrayed him in the front lines of battle and you couldn’t help let out the monstrous laugh you had been holding since the fifth movie, Shin Godzilla. 

“You know, if I knew this was going to be a date between you and Oikawa, I would have just stayed home," you tease. Iwaizumi brushes you off and turns with his garbage in hand (not including his best friend), and leaves a mentally wounded Oikawa and you still trying to contain your laughter.
