I've always had this idea of Viktor and Yuuri adopting a daughter who is (surprise!) autistic, and the three of them stimming together, Viktor cuddling her after she has meltdowns (if she's okay with it), Yuuri giving her advice once she gets to school, etc. (IDK, I've always loved this headcanon.)

okay but the thought of an adhd!jj and viktor being friends is literally th best. i mean, jj getting distracted every like 5 seconds (like me) and vitya being like “okay buddy you might need to slow down a bit” i love it omg

If Viktor’s the one telling someone to slow down, than you know that they’re distracted XD Love the idea! Both of them definitely need more friends haha maybe one day they will be friendly with each other!

Headcanon for autistic Yurio getting his wisdom teeth out and Victor and Yuri taking care of him. Please I need the emo child to suffer with me.

I had to do a bit of research but I hope you like these headcanons!

Yurio wants to keep his cool image and be calm but he is definitely not.

Viktor and Yuuri know this (as well as literally everyone), which makes them want to comfort him and visit him after surgery

They have high empathy and can just feel the stress from Yurio

(plus they’re just naturally protective and caring people as we all know)

What Yurio is most freaked out about is people touching his face. He knows he’ll be put under so he won’t feel anything or even be conscience but the thought of it is not so good

(remember that one scene where Lilia grabbed his face? yeah he did not look too happy)

His grandpa buys him a small plush lion to help him relax. He says he doesn’t need it but he sneaks it in the building under his sweater.

Viktor and Yuuri visit afterwards with Yurio’s permission beforehand, as long as they don’t film him or anything… which they didn’t even think of doing although they can’t help but be curious about how he acts under the medication.

He won’t speak or acknowledge them. Also it’s hard to see Yurio because the lights are so dim in the house

Yuuri thinks Yurio looks confused while Viktor thinks he just looks tired. So Yuuri explains to Yurio what happened, and how his mouth should be fine in about 2 weeks. Yurio just blinks.

Viktor, trying to lighten the mood: “See, Yurio, you made it!”

Yurio, completely serious, speaking for the first time: “I’m a bad bitch they can’t kill me”

He can only eat really soft foods/liquids for a while so his safefoods are applesauce and pumpkin soup. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it, he tells everyone.

Yuuri, who lives for the Crunch, is disgusted, but he and Viktor like to make him different kinds of soups and drinks and give it to him in different multicolored thermoses. Yurio has like 10 now but who would refuse homemade french onion soup?

He thanks Yuuri and Viktor in his own way. They find the small plush lion in their bag after they’re done training one day

I've written some stories about autistic!Yuuri in the past, and I just came across them again, and I will thought... Imagine autistic Yuuri and AD(H)D Viktor together. Viktor would drag Yuuri out of his comfort zone and Yuuri in turn would provide Viktor with structure and curb his impulsivity. That, and they can hyperfixate on each other lol

This is exactly why they’re soulmates! I also love the idea of Viktor with ADHD, any story with that is a blessing

head canons for what would an autism yurio be like when he is sick?? (sorry if that does not make sense, english is not my first language)

Headcanons? Got them! (Also that’s okay! Your english is fine)

Yurio doesn’t usually get sick, actually. But when he does it’s a really bad time for him, and everyone close to him in general

He doesn’t get those Mysterious Stomachaches that a surprising amount of autistic people seem to get though.

Everyone can tell when he is sick/going to become sick… except Yurio himself.

He teases people less, talks less, and just seems out of it

He is also more sensitive to sounds and touch. Certain fabric gets unbearable and if anyone is too loud he will hit them with a tissue box.

He’s completely insufferable while he’s sick 

He’ll claim he’s fine and doesn’t need help while simultaneously complaining about how bad he feels

Yurio, drinking soup from a reusable water bottle and under 2 weighted blankets: yep I’m ok. by the way can you google how to write a will

He’ll usually get better in about a week or less, that kid can snap back quickly haha

So some people with autism get severe stomach pains and other issues like that (not me, but my friend does) and I have no idea why I linked these two, but I feel like JJ would get something like that for some reason. Is that weird?

If people with autism are more likely to get those types of issues then that explains the three random stomachaches I’ve had this week… 🤔 

Also don’t worry those types of headcanons aren’t weird at all! I headcanon a lot of different things for characters, like Phichit having dyslexia, Viktor hating peppers, and Mari being in a long-distance relationship with a girl from Spain.

in the anime jj is shown to interact pretty awkwardly in social situations , such as trying to make a joke/join in on the conversation at the restaurant scene and annoyed the others. he was v confused and didn’t really understand why. so i was just wondering your thoughts on this ?

Oh yeah, JJ is definitely one of the most socially awkward characters in the show. Even Viktor thinks he has “a certain unapproachable quality the other competitors don’t”. I’m glad you mentioned the restaurant scene because that’s the biggest and most memorable example….Pretty much the go-to scene when I’m thinking about autistic JJ in canon, because he reads the situation and the group’s reactions really differently than we as the audience do (since we are aware of things characters aren’t) and including him in that scene was a deliberate move to show how he doesn’t fit in.

As an apology for my rambling on that specific scene I put the rest of my analysis under here haha

So, Viktor says this famous line:

And we in the audience get to have a laugh because we know that Yuuri is Japan’s Ace and obviously will be winning a gold medal this season and even if he doesn’t, they’re still going to get married. No doubt in our minds at all. However, the group reacts like this:

What I like to imagine them thinking: “So you don’t even see us as competition? You’re really surrounding your marriage plans on a gold medal he may not win?” (They don’t get to see the full story, or Viktor and Yuuri’s relationship, like we do so obviously they’re a bit confused by the wording.)

Then JJ shows up, hears all of the commotion and is all:

Whether he meant it to sound arrogant and kind of condescending or not is besides the point because that’s how everyone took it, even the audience. Of course we did, because the only things we knew about JJ at that point were that he was one of the best skaters and super full of himself about it. Even when he invited Otabek to dinner like five minutes ago he called him weird. (So seeing Otabek reject him but then having dinner with literally everyone would kind of hurt, even if they weren’t friends, but that’s not what I’m focusing on here) I don’t know if JJ and him were friends at any point so I can’t say for sure if Otabek thinks he is being serious or not. (I doubt it because it just seemed like friendly teasing, but who knows? otabek barely has any words and only 2 expressions.)

He doesn’t read the group’s looks of -_- and :/ at all. He just thinks that he can make a joke with them and they will know he is making a joke because that’s what most people think, that their jokes are obvious. I act the same way when I try to be funny, I forget that not everyone knows my sense of humor or what I’m even talking about and I have to explain myself a lot. JJ wants to be included and that’s how he tries.

But everyone’s a bit ticked off and probably not having the energy to talk to JJ at the moment so they just leave. Their actions, not their expressions, make JJ realize that they thought he was just being a asshole. This is honestly such a relatable autistic moment, I laughed a lot at this scene when I watched it. He says something that was misunderstood and he only realizes it when they leave. Do I think the writers wrote JJ (or any character) to be autistic? Unfortunately, no. Will that stop me from thinking this whole scene is the Biggest Autistic Mood? Nope! 

JJ’s inability to fit in and attempts at doing so are clumsy and seems like a theme for his character. Only in episode 11/12 do we and the characters see that the pressure gives him a lot of anxiety and he’s not as confident as he seems. Yuuri begins to respect him more because he understands. He also has some issues with his self-esteem and fitting in. I could talk about Yuuri too but I think I should end it here!

In conclusion, JJ is autistic and can’t read people well at all- a headcanon that happens to be 100% supported by canon baby!

Leo autistic shutdown and meltdown hc ‘s please gracias~

Sure!

Leo’s shutdowns or meltdowns are rare, and he considers himself lucky for that haha

They mostly happened when he was younger

Like when he was eight and there was construction going on next door for days on end. That really wasn’t the best of times

His empathy is so strong the closest he’ll get to melting down is when he’s witnessing another friend in distress.

Phichit or Guang Hong will complain about traffic noise or a weird smell or something and once Leo notices what they’re talking about he won’t be able to ignore it

He’s really quiet during shutdowns/meltdowns

Like he doesn’t make a noise at all and it’s unnerving but he doesn’t hesitate to do whatever he needs to do to cope

To recover he’ll just straight up leave the area. Doesn’t matter where he is, he’ll just leave.

At school? The rink? A starbucks’ parking lot? One minute he’s there and the next he’s gone. He’s the ultimate autistic cryptid

Aw, the poor kid… (He’ll be okay, though!)

Yurio doesn’t meltdown often, he mostly just stays frustrated and snappish at people around him until he manages to get himself away from the situation.

To bystanders and even rinkmates, it’s impossible to tell the typical teenage mood swings apart from sensory overload.

So, even if they don’t mean to, it’s easy to push his buttons

It’s never over anything big. It’s the little things that build up overtime that get to him.

Again, to others it may seem like he’s being oversensitive or making a big deal over nothing

Once he couldn’t get connected to the wifi and he threw his phone against the wall

(The only reason it didn’t shatter is because of the protective case on it that he got ‘just in case’)

Honestly, his meltdowns are about what you’d expect- yelling, punching walls, pulling on his hair… They’re quick but explosive.

Once someone told him to calm down and he kicked a trash bin so hard it ended up halfway across the hallway

He’ll feel like the whole world is ending but when it’s done he’ll want to hide from everyone for a week straight

Which he used to do, just avoid everyone, but he slowly gets better at recovering and managing the consequences
