i went to a tiny counterserve diner once and accidentally poured sugar instead of salt all over my hashbrowns and was eating them sadly anyways. the waitress took them away and started making me another one and I tried to protest, but she just snorted and said "we're not catholic here". now every time i'm doing something painful out of obligation i think about how that is not repenting, this body is not a catholic establishment, there is no nobility in suffering.

Shout out to all my fellow enemies of Jesus Christ. Love y’all 🖤
My brother said that either jesus is my lord or I'm his enemy
So I guess there's that.

Psa this is strictly my opinion
I think one of the most important things to do as a satanist as far as your mindset is taking the time to understand satan and satanism in your own perspective. It's good to hear about other people's beliefs and how they see satan but I think it's most important in that realm that you try to see him in your own light
Sincerely someone who is still learning about the dark lord and his path🤘🏾
Hail satan hail the infernal divine

A basic belief and tenet of Satanism should be the rejection of tyranny, fascism, and oppressive leadership.
To follow the one who rebelled against a tyrannical God and to not also raise your voice and sword against tyrants in power and those who wish to subject others to their will is to stray from what it means to be a Satanist.

Beginner Satanists: What do you do?
Given the rise of Satanism, both theistic and atheistic, there comes a question: Where do I start? This question brings several others with it such as what to do, what to believe, and who to listen to. I'm here to help with that!
I've been a Satanist the past decade, before the current rise of it, before TST was created, and back when there was still arguments about which kind of Satanism is the right kind.
"There's more than one kind of Satanism?" Yes! Despite what groups such as the Church of Satan or The Satanic Temple might have you believe, atheistic Satanism is not the only kind of Satanism. Luciferianism dates back to the mid-1800s, and theistic Satanism dates back to around the same time or even further back (not including so-called "devil-worshippers" that were hunted down as an attempt from Christian leaders to put out other faiths). That being said, take the time to figure out which path is right for you!
Tips for beginner Satanists:
Research! Research is going to be your best friend. I cannot stress enough how much research is to becoming a Satanist. I would suggest avoiding sites affiliated to Joy of Satan or materials from Anton Lavey because surprise! They're fascist. Despite being credited as the creator of Satanism, Lavey's work takes a very authoritarian point of view and he was incredibly antisemitic (as well as openly admitting to being attracted to nazism) and misogynistic. There have been first person accounts of klan and nazis being present at rituals he hosted.
Find your tools. Do you want to set up an altar? Have a collection of books? Do you want to practice magic? There are many places to find or buy the things that you need, but you can also make many of them! You can find red candles almost anywhere, incense is common to find nowadays, and searching online can find you several books.
Find your community. Reach out to people who are a part of the same system you are, whether you're theistic, atheistic, a Luciferian, etc! It can take time, but eventually you'll find people that you can work with and be close to.
Find your path. Personally, I think this should be the last step. Get everything else figured out before you actually sit down and put a label to your practice. Don't shoehorn yourself into a specific path beforehand without putting in the work to really discover yourself. It can take people years to find out what their path really is and if you spend all of that time worrying about it, then you're putting yourself off from truly enjoying what you do and feeling fulfilled by it.
Don't be afraid to reach out to people! There are people here that are willing to help newcomers with questions or to be friends, so don't be shy!

I'm not a theistic satanist, but I think this advice can apply to yourself. Treat yourself with kindness and respect, and listen to your inner wisdom and trust that you know what's best for you :) <3
A few rules for keeping the Daemonic spirits in your life happy
From: Spirit Keeping & Spirit Vessels by S. Connolly and Andrieh Vitimus
Never be disrespectful or rude towards Daemons
Never try to force the Daemonic spirit to do anything against it's will
Do not try to bind the Daemon to anything. Infusing their energy into something is one thing, creating a home for them is another - but binding them falls into the "disrespectful" camp. The word BIND itself suggests forcing something to conform to your will, usually against its own will
When a Daemonic spirit tells you something useful, listen. Nothing makes Daemons ignore you more often than you ignoring them. Unlike humans they WILL stop giving advice and they'll stop bothering to help you if you continually ignore the advice they're giving you. That means if you beg them to help with a problem and they tell you X-Y-Z, or to pull your head out of your ass - do it. Especially if you wish to continue in their favor
A polite THANK YOU after they help you is both polite and proper magician etiquette
Feed your [thought forms] regularly with productive, positive energy to help you further your goals or they will dissipate and you'll have to start all over
Don't be an arrogant jackass and sell Daemons on the internet. Even if you think it's funny, or you're trying to make bank on the noobs, Christians, and wanna-be's, just don't. From a Daemonolater point-of-view - it's sacrilege! From a magician's point-of-view it's shady as hell and screams, "That person is a fraud and a charlatan!" Or perhaps just a douche

The 9 Satanic Sins
1. Stupidity—The top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid.
2. Pretentiousness—Empty posturing can be most irritating and isn’t applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyone’s made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not.
3. Solipsism—Can be very dangerous for Satanists. Projecting your reactions, responses and sensibilities onto someone who is probably far less attuned than you are. It is the mistake of expecting people to give you the same consideration, courtesy and respect that you naturally give them. They won’t. Instead, Satanists must strive to apply the dictum of “Do unto others as they do unto you.” It’s work for most of us and requires constant vigilance lest you slip into a comfortable illusion of everyone being like you. As has been said, certain utopias would be ideal in a nation of philosophers, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, from a Machiavellian standpoint) we are far from that point.
4. Self-deceit—It’s in the “Nine Satanic Statements” but deserves to be repeated here. Another cardinal sin. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expected to play ourselves. The only time self-deceit should be entered into is when it’s fun, and with awareness. But then, it’s not self-deceit!
5. Herd Conformity—That’s obvious from a Satanic stance. It’s all right to conform to a person’s wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonal entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of the many.
6. Lack of Perspective—Again, this one can lead to a lot of pain for a Satanist. You must never lose sight of who and what you are, and what a threat you can be, by your very existence. We are making history right now, every day. Always keep the wider historical and social picture in mind. That is an important key to both Lesser and Greater Magic. See the patterns and fit things together as you want the pieces to fall into place. Do not be swayed by herd constraints—know that you are working on another level entirely from the rest of the world.
7. Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies—Be aware that this is one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something new and different, when in reality it’s something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the creator and forget the original. This makes for a disposable society.
8. Counterproductive Pride—That first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The rule of Satanism is: if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you’ve painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, I’m sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow, then do it.
9. Lack of Aesthetics—This is the physical application of the Balance Factor. Aesthetics is important in Lesser Magic and should be cultivated. It is obvious that no one can collect any money off classical standards of beauty and form most of the time so they are discouraged in a consumer society, but an eye for beauty, for balance, is an essential Satanic tool and must be applied for greatest magical effectiveness. It’s not what’s supposed to be pleasing—it’s what is. Aesthetics is a personal thing, reflective of one’s own nature, but there are universally pleasing and harmonious configurations that should not be denied.

"Know thyself and trust in your inner voice. Whether you are living in a trailer park or living in Beverly Hills, the question remains, are you living from a point of Truth? Are you authentic, fulfilled and raising the energies in all with whom you interact? Do you feel alive? Are you living a fulfilling experience and expressing the talents with which you were born? Do you consistently seek to reach higher and higher levels of being?"

At the end of the day, Satanism is whatever the fuck you want it to be.
Wanna perform rituals while butt-ass naked and dancing to some Cannibal Corpse? Hail Satan!
Wanna spend your Black Sabbaths in a library reading about Hinduism and Taoism? Hail Satan!
Wanna debate and discuss religion and philosophy with evangelicals? Waste of time but Hail Satan!
Just remember that there are guidelines. Stray from them, and you will find that your journey becomes significantly more difficult and you may not be getting the enlightenment you were seeking. However, never let anyone tell you what a Satanist *Should* be. Only listen to what a Satanist *Could* be.
