What if every dog is reincarnated into another dog after they die and whenever you see a person walking their dog who goes crazy and tries to meet you and be your best friend is really your childhood dog trying to tell you he knows you and misses you?

Note
beginner, and I'm looking for recreation equipment, not hunting equipment ^.^
Definitely go with the PSE Razorback Recurve. It's $110 last time I checked which is a total steal for a 5star rated bow. You should figure out your eye dominance before buying anything. Then go to Cabela's and search for that bow and pick a weight you are comfortable with. Typically, you see women using between 25 - 30 pound draw. Beginners use less than 25 usually. You will need an arrow-rest because the riser has a gorgeous finish on it and you don't want to ruin that with fletching (also it'll tear off your fletching). A simple plastic peg rest works perfectly well and usually costs around $0.75. A nocking point on your string is super helpful so the arrows don't slide up. Those also cost under a dollar. =P (that is my first archery setup right there!)

It looks like you're using the wrong hand. Look up eye dominance and how to check for it. You always draw the string to your dominant eye which is open.

Go to Cabela's website. Buy a PSE Razorback Takedown Recurve bow. (First figure out if you are left or right eye dominant) and buy the bow you want. Make sure you don't get one too heavy. A good starting place is 20-25lb. That will cost around $110 for the bow. (pretty cheap but it's a 5 star bow and i have one!). Then get arrows. I recommend getting a set of identical ones to increase consistant results (assuming you do the same thing each time you shoot). For a recurve of that weight, wood, carbon fiber, or aluminum all work. I recommend using wood because it's probably the cheapest of the three and you will lose a few arrows when you're a noobie. Get an arrow-rest. Definitely get one even if it's a tiny plastic notch. Because you'll ruin the finish on the "riser" (the handle of the bow), and I recommend getting a nocking point as well. If you want to go all out, get a kisser button and a reference sight with a level. A stabilizer is nice but not necessary as a starter archer. =) hope that helps!!!
I really want a fancy bow or a crossbow.
I’ve always wanted to take up archery. Ever since I was like 5

If you want to learn to shoot and you like traditional archery, get a recurve. If you want to be able to increase the weight and strive for accuracy with longer more steady shots, and possibly go hunting....compound. You can hunt with recurve too but it's a lot harder. =P I bought a recurve first, learned how to shoot, then bought a compound 7 months later. Barely ever go back to recurve now.
Compound or recurve. AGH.
I’m completely torn to whether i want to shoot a compound or a recurve bow. I can only buy one with my budget (which still doesnt exist but still).
