I’m garbage about maintaining more than one blog, and there is no reason for Suvi to have her own blog since she fits in just fine with all of my other muses, so she will be moved to my multi @sevnswords!

I likely won’t keep all of her threads from here while over there, so I’ll keep everyone updated about which ones I’m keeping.

First stanza:

Tell the tale of Tyrdda Bright-Axe, mountain maker, spirit’s bride: Free, her people, forged in fastness, made in mountains, hardy hide. Wise in wisdom, calm in counsel, great in gifts her grateful guests, Sacrificed she did to spirits, took their teachings, followed quests. “ Maybe your hearing is lacking “,  Sabriel hisses,  a frustrated growl in her voice.   She’s tired of this circular argument,  the same accusations thrown at her while she tries to counter and explain,  while she struggles to overcome her discomfort with arguments because she thinks it’s important.   It doesn’t accur to her the Herald struggles too,  with the language Sabriel speaks as her first.   She’s used to hearing different accents,  common sounding different in the mouths of orlesians or free marchers than it does in hers,  but that not everyone is comfortable with it is something she knows but has currently forgotten.

“ You don’t have to set foot in a Circle if you hate them so much “,  she says.   “ If the Circles were made better no one would be forced into them. “

               ---Suvi clenches her jaw; she’s quite nearly at her breaking point, both with the conversation and her inability to phrase the things she wants to say in Common. Frustrated, she lets out a stream of Avvar so quickly it might not be understood even by someone of her own Hold. 

                      “My hearing is fine,” she says. “Is yours?” 

She knows the words are wrong; not everyone wants mages to have a choice. Many fear them at the Chantry’s behest and want to see them caged like animals, waiting for any of them to fall prey to demons and prove them right, ignoring all of the mages doing perfectly fine without the chantry’s supervision. 

                         “It hasn’t been a choice.” And she knows so many mages have been taught to fear themselves so much they would willingly choose a prison over freedom. If they hadn’t been instilled with those fears, maybe it would be a viable option, but her heart mourns for the people who have had that choice taken from them by virtue of fear and misinformation. “They would choose their own cage.”
