Gronk grew up in a insular pastoral community, but left home at 14 and became a boxing champion in back room gambling rings. He’s since worked his way up to being the shadow leader of an infamous crime syndicate. He’s altruistic at heart, and uses the syndicates power to snuff out all other criminal activity. Under the table, Gronk volunteers in the resistance against the corrupt government and funds their efforts to dismantle them.

Cordelia is the daughter of a notorious noble family, called the Cairds. Her parents were found guilty of treason and she was thrown out on the streets as a child. She scraped a living doing book keeping for gangs before finally earning an apprenticeship under the leader of the Alchemist guild. Out of everything she’d been through, the apprenticeship was the worst thing that ever happened to Cordelia. Despite it all, she’s now a competent alchemist

Been drawing this new OTP a lot lately.

My bard, Chandraneel, has been having a situation-ship with the warlock, Cerys, for years now, but a couple sessions ago she got possessed by the BBEG. This incited a lot of changes in Chandraneel including quitting hard drugs and becoming the group’s new leader. Upon getting Cerys back through the combination of a successful divine intervention and a clone spell (that’s why she was a drow and is now a winter eladrin) they went on a very cute date at a carnival where he won her an owlbear plush.

Chandraneel: I won this for you… what should we name it?

Cerys: … Bird.

Chandraneel: *knows that she lost her warlock class when she was cloned and can’t summon her bird familiar with that same name anymore*

Chandraneel: That’s a really good name.

just wanted to try colouring manga panels again and found this shot in my camera roll. still so obsessed with this scene from ch102 + the callback to young zen and izana, with one of my favourite izana quotes ever.

had a lot of fun with the hair shading this time! got kinda lazy with the face shading for zen but its like 3am and i cant be bothered, sorry buddy. appreciate the lack of the details here very much.

Re-watching Kihal’s episode (ep. 10) and I love how Shirayuki flat out lies on the floor of the greenhouse with a pillow which may or may not be a sack of fertiliser. It’s her spot of calm where she is worrying about Kihal’s situation and also trying to come up with a solution, which of course she does through the inspiration of ✨plants~✨

I love to think this is something she does when she wants to get away and think. And I love that Obi knew to find her here, indicating that she does this a lot.

My awakened mouse alchemist, Fibi, has confronted her big bad, the sorceress Ilyara.

Ilyara, who tortured Fibi for years and turned her into what she is, has been kidnapping children from the slums, and to Fibi’s horror, has been transferring their spirits to mice for easy containment until they can be sacrificed to keep the god of death sealed away. This has Fibi wondering what that means about her existence. Does her soul also belong to a child who was stolen away from their family and home?

The party returns to their base in the Dregs to a bar owned by a couple of retired adventurers, Mulch and Merna, and their adopted teenaged son, Benny. After hearing the party’s story, Benny is determined to go after Ilyara himself. “She has my sister.”

Meanwhile, I am trying to keep a poker face as my party doesn’t pick up on the little hint and the DM gives me a wink.

Pictured is Benny and his older sister, Mae. They were orphaned, separated, and sent to live with different family friends before running away together to live on their own. They scrapped by with the other street urchins, but Mae was an aspiring alchemist. She got a tip that the head of the alchemy guild, Ilyara, was looking for an apprentice. She left Benny to pursue the job opportunity so that she could provide for them both. Mae promised to come back and get him the moment she could.

She never came back.

Mulch and Merna found Benny wandering the streets alone and took the boy in, they’ve been a content family unit for the last ten years, but Benny’s always wondered what could have happened to Mae.

Those notes were from session 1, just had session 7 and Fibi faced her big bad evil guy, the alchemist Ilyara who awakened her 😰 Fibi needed to find out where she’s keeping the kids that she kidnapped back in session 2. Turns out they’re in a pocket dimension and they aren’t kids anymore, but little mice 😱 Ilyara needs them as a sacrifice to keep the god of death sealed away. She put their souls in mice and disposed of their bodies. Fibi wonders, if all these mice have humanoid souls, what does that mean about her?

Ilyara lets Fibi take one mouse whom she says used to be the little tiefling boy, Zig (he lived near the sewer’s entrance. told the party about about the siren that came out at night and lures kids into the sewer where they are never seen again. Later that night, he was among the hypnotized kids. The party killed the siren, but then Ilyara showed up, stopped time, and stole all the kids back before disappearing) Fibi got to walk away with zig!mouse having promised to find a way to seal away the god of death without sacrificing the kids. She has a year to figure out an alternative measure and find a way to get all these mice children their bodies back… and maybe her body back too…

Fibi the awakened mouse alchemist begins her adventure and it was a TON of fun. Fibi got a couple people at the tavern to join her in investigating the smell coming from the sewers. They still don’t know where the stench is coming from but, unrelated, a sketchy guy in the town square was giving away bags of gold if you took home one of his weird packages. The packages each contained… a human body part! But that’s probably unrelated to the smell 🥴 (my husband plays the guy with the pirate hat and I made him carry my character because she was short and trudging waist deep through the sewage sludge.)
