Do you ever have that moment when you’re writing, and it feels like you’ve already written that sentence somewhere before, and then you just get completely confused? I’m not sure if I’ve just reread the chapter too many times, and now everything feels the same.😭

JOKES ASIDE this is actually sad because I am sure he really just did pick up every summon dog he could until he was on the edge of his chakra resources. Like none of his summons are from breeds meant to fight except for maybe Akino, Uuhei and Bull.

He already had all of his eight dogs while he was tracking Orochimaru and he was ~14 at this point which means he had chosen all his summons while being a literal child. Which also means he acted like a normal child picking random animals on street and taking them home except that he didn’t have parents who are usually against this behaviour :( fuuuck imma cry on this hill

Hey everyone,

I know many of you are looking forward to the next chapter of BSaS that was supposed to come out this month and I really appreciate your interest and excitement. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to dedicate time to working on it yet. My exams are just around the corner and between my part-time job and university deadlines I’ve had very little time to create something I would feel proud to share.

I was in the middle of writing the new version of the second chapter Darling, you're Different when another fic idea hit me like a truck. Now I'm sitting here, trying to convince myself to focus and get back to work.

Chapter 3: Catch the fire burning out your soul

Kakashi took a cautious step forward, his hands still raised in a gesture of peace. “You don’t have to do this,” he repeated, his voice calm but firm. The mother sobbed uncontrollably, the chains rattling against the steel beam as she tried to shield her daughter with her body from across the room.

But that single step was too much for the man. His wild eyes flared, and before Kakashi could react, he raised the gun and pulled the trigger. The sharp crack of the shot echoed through the room. The bullet missed Kakashi by inches, ricocheting off a metallic pipe in the corner. Sparks flew where the bullet struck, and in an instant, flames erupted from a patch of spilled gasoline on the floor.

Just a quick update from me. I'm not 100% sure if I'll be able to finish the next update for Between Smoke and Silence in December. I had another doctor's appointment today, and unfortunately, my health still hasn't improved.
