Ozzy Osbourne’s death is like the death of a crusty white 3 legged no toothed dog in it’s mid 20s. It’s shocking and heartbreaking, but the shock mostly comes from the fact that it lived so long and through so much bodily strain that you kind of subconsciously assumed it was immortal.

Knowing that trans women of color started the movement in the united states and were literally immediately erased and excluded from what they started is the most deeply jading knowledge.

It is the original sin of the so-called queer community and it damns it from the cradle.

I don't think you have to be a person to be respected, I'm not a person. A lot of folks keep insisting on alterhumans to call themselves people but I think that really just shows the lack of respect for anything they don't consider a person

Okay this isn’t really regression related but

some of yall in the alterhuman/agere/literally every other community, need to understand that not everyone is a 12 year old. Like, adults exist in these spaces and they are allowed to do adult things.

My most recent example of this is running cutiecorner off the fucking internet for having a life outside of making regression related art for you guys.

That was truly awful and im disgusted at the behavior of the people responsible.

Another example is the whole stigma around animal packers. It’s literally no different than a human packer, get over yourself.

Just because you yourself don’t need those kind of affirmative tools doesn’t mean they’re “disgusting” or “harmful” or “z00philic”, and I sympathize for anyone who’s faced aggression and harassment for using them.

These communities are so hyperfixated on making their communities more palatable for close minded individuals who are going to hate them regardless, thus pushing away and excluding large parts of the community, thus watering down the meaning of the community all together.

Some of yall need to do better.

At some point, I grew almost avoidant to talk about my otherkinity/nonhumanity.

Not for whatever the usual suspect is, like, I don’t know, shame or want to hide it or nothing to talk about or writer’s block etc etc.

No. I grew avoidant because how much people make nonhuman equate to alterhuman. Nonhuman is alterhuman, but alterhuman is NOT nonhuman.

Maybe it’s spite, maybe it’s anger, maybe it’s “nonhumanity is overrated” in a way in terms of community topic—that’s a joke, it’s always fascinating to talk about.

But alterhumanity is so much more, and a big, inclusive umbrella. And I’m tired of my other identities being a footnote, or forgotten. I’m tired of my friends or fellow community members feeling like they don’t have a space, that they don’t belong, or aren’t welcome inside a space that is theirs and ours and for all of us.

I’m still going to talk about my nonhumanity, it’s part of me, I’m going to make noise about it. I’m just going to put forth extra effort with all my other identypes—hearttype, linktype, vaguetype, kardiatype, paratype, hearthome, archetrope, and more. As a stern reminder that yes, all these identities are part of the alterhuman community, that once again, alterhumanity is so, so much more than just identifying-as-animalistic-nonhuman.

like i cannot stress enough if ur white u have been raised and taught to view urself as the center of the world, almost all media caters to you, ur cultures viewpoints dictate the world, ur ancestors are the “victors” of colonialism and shaped the planet to fit white supremacy, that little voice in ur head that tells you to comment on every post about racism u see with stuff like “LISTEN to this white people” “im white, but this is important” “im as white as snow but i also agree with this” is not the compassionate gesture u think it is

that little voice is ur taught racist desire to center urself and ur opinion as more important and factual, something to be listened to above all else, because you were raised to believe you and everyone like you has the final say, you get uncomfortable when brown people voice frustrations because you don’t like reckoning with how the entire world is shaped in your image, you need to ignore that little voice that tells you your input is needed, because that little voice means absolutely nothing to the lived experiences of people of color, we donot need your approval or for you to agree for the racist history that has oppressed all of us to be true, we donot need YOU to tell us we are right when it has already been proven through history, through statistics, on the millions of lives lost to genocide and war in the name of white supremacy, you are not the center of the world, you are just taught that you are

I need people on this site to stop acting like the Indigenous groups of North America are gone. They are still alive, they are still trying to live. Yes they are the victims of genocide, yes a lot of their cultures and languages have been lost, but acting like they are completely gone helps no one but the genocidal.
